Bar staff excellent make you feel welcome.

My first visit to the isle of Bute. I’d been told it was full of old school boozers so I was looking forward to it. On my way to Rothesay I met a young man known locally as “wee Tommy “ who shook his head and told me “not good a lot of the pubs are closing” when I asked how he was. My first and last stop of my crawl was the grapes which is situated on the high street and seems to be the bar with the latest closing. It was good fun. Friendly locals and bar staff. A lovely pint of Guinness and has a pool table. Recommended 🍻 🎱

It was very quiet the both times when I popped in so the atmosphere was lacking, they have a pool table in there as well. It opens late throughout the week so at least if you fancy a late drink it's there if you need it.

They dnt do food, but the nuts were perfect .service excellent , all the female staff to die for. The guys will be better with training. It's not their fault. They're just guys . Fantastic atmosphere with very cheap sounds,I tend to put proclaimers on which some folk get. The locals make you feel like a local,cracking place,,will be back every month, or every day if marry a local, Anne and Neil, who only own place, are first class. Also dog friendly, .

Was over on Bute all the time back in 2002 with the lads, used to do all the pubs including this one. Great memories, be back over this Saturday for a wee pub crawl anniversary tour.

The lady behind the bar was very friendly and accommodating of the odd folk that we brought to the bar on Friday 13th. Locals were sound too.
