This used to be so good back in the day,simply awful now. Cold kebab,dreadfully salty prawn puri,the lamb in the lamb katmndu didn't taste quite right so ended up in the bin, tikka chicken balti again was much too salty. At just short of £29 I won't be returning.

I started going here a long time ago. Used to have a beautiful mild chicken Balti. I’ve tried a few other places, one I started using as it 4 mile closer. But eventually had to opt to travel as it is usually worth it. Odd time I’ve had it delivered as the delivery used to be so cheap too. Delivery driver took a while to find our house as it was a house out of the way. The driver still works there. Legend. I’ve had the odd mistake over the years missing an item. I’ve also had the odd disagreement. But nothing compared to other takeaways I’ve tried and tbh others don’t come close. I’ll continue to go back, looking forward to tomorrow night. Let’s hope they continue to maintain their high standards Overall 5*

How do you stretch 40 minutes into 75 minutes. Just order from this take away. When you place an order from a takeaway you have to give and take a few minutes not nearly double the time. Why gave a delivery time then know full well it's not going to happen. Well just don't accept it 😜

After waiting over 1 and a half hours for our meal items were then missing from the order. I rang to tell them but they just kept denying they were missing. They were very rude to me on the phone and were basically telling me I was lying. The phone went dead at one point and I had to ring back. They eventually agreed to send the missing items but they never arrived. I am not pleased with the service at all and will not be ordering from here again.

Ordered online for pick up. Went to pick up was told it wasn’t ready, told lad I would wait outside give me shout when it’s done. 45 minutes later still waiting but seeing delivery guys going in and out. Went in to be told oh it’s been ready ages, was given a bag of freezing food and no refund if I hadn’t already paid online would of walked off like. No excuse both young lads more interested in watching the telly, I was stood outside ages by myself didn’t even bother coming out until I kicked off. Will not use again food was crap service was crap

This was once my favourite takeaway in Sunderland great service excellent quality and good food. Now cold food, poor quality and no answer when called to complain

Had a few take aways from Grangetown tandoori a naan bread was missing from last week no drama let them know for next order tonights order put a comment on the order but it wasn't there phoned up long story short I am a liar and so is David after they put the phone down on me stay away from this takeaway

I was driving in that direction so decided to call in for my favourite meal. Biriyani , should have kept driving. The flavours were weak and insipid. Basically flavour less. And since when has sweet corn been used in Indian vegetable curries . Probably just a cheap ingredient to pad it out. And you have to search for the meat. I used to love this place years ago and it was probably sentiment rather than sense that had me call in. I won't be doing it again.

I was unhappy with the food this evening. The tikka chicken was lacking in actual chicken and the few pieces I did get were rubbery. I have ordered many times before with little complaint. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering again.

Food was pretty bland. Ordered a vindaloo and pathia, yet wasn’t even spicy! Popadoms were soft, and chips were undercooked. Waste of money :(

So first time ordering and wouldn’t order again. Samosas were dry and tasted stale-perhaps last nights reheated? Mushrooms in mushroom puri dish were few and far between, lacked flavour and was only just warm. Excesssive use of onions. The Puri was also dry and certainly not fresh. Chicken madras was lovely-plenty of chicken and great sauce. Good flavour and served hot. Kebabs were dry no flavour, didn’t expect to see a soggy onion bhaji in the box, chicken tikka-3 pieces! Quite disappointed

Very disappointed as usually food is lovely from here. Ordered the chicken pathia which was watery and tasteless, lamb in the bhuna was nice but the sauce was again tasteless. Rice, tikka chicken and mushroom bhaji was lovely. Food was on time so would expect it to be hotter than it was 😔

Placed an order last night and the 6 out of 7 dishes received were correct but one dish which was ordered was incorrect. We called and was asked what the dish looked like?? .... I explained and was told "Errm we are really busy" Really poor service - won't be returning.

The chicken tikka shahi masala is out of this world. TRY IT.

i do enjoy the food from here but i have to be honest i have eaten better curries elsewhere. But the food is always served hot and quickly which make it a v conveneient place to go to other the weekend

Food last night wasn’t good. We ordered chicken madras which looked like Korma, no taste but very hot. Mushroom pilau was more like fried rice with sweetcorn, minus the mushroom. The only plus point was the quality of the chicken. We have used Grangetown for many years however, after last night, will be going else where.

Ordered from Grangetown a few times. But this time there was less meat in than expected. Very tasty still but next time I’ll ask for more chicken. Still, gorgeous food though.

All really lovely just a shame the spicy popadum was burnt and in pieces but everything else a as top notch. Delivery was late but only by 5 min so I won't hold that against them

Portion sizes were absolutely tiny. I ordered a madras and was lucky to get 4 bits of chicken and a carton full of sauce. Not happy with that at all think I'll try somewhere else

1st time I've ordered from here but, by no means will it be the last. Best curry I've tasted in a LONG time, delicious & the staff were so accommodating with my request for a particular type of chicken for my ''little girl'' (my dog haha). Delivered by a very pleasant young man. Yes ! I'm impressed to say the least. WELL DONE.

Used to go here years ago, food was always great and still is if not better! Forgot our cans of pop when I rang they said sorry they had forgot and I said it's ok put on next order but they insisted they would bring them straight up which they did, outstanding service and food to match, no grease whatsoever!! We will defs be back👍🏻

Picked up a takeaway. Never had such a tasteless Indian meal. Ordered peshwari and a garlic naan- couldn't decide which one was which as neither had any flavour to them. Chicken tikka masala sauce resembled wallpaper paste and jalfrezi was bland filled with half cooked onions- all in all a disaster! Phoned three times to complain, engaged every time so gave up, threw the food away and went to bed hungry! Will definitely not be returning

Everything was good apart from the food. It was OK but not what I ordered. The Jalfrezi I got had no chilli's but loads of tomatoes so I think they delivered the wrong thing but the carton did say jalfrezi! Might order again but not the same dish

Food arrived on time, which was the best part of the service. We ordered a tikka masala which had more water that chicken. Not much flavour in the food. The tikka naan was alright but for first time ordering not the most impressive.

Absolutely awful meat was grey curry tasted of petrol not even edible will never order from here again

Estimated time was an hour - it took an hour an 40 minutes - 40 minutes late and no phonecall to let us know either. - we had to ring them. Just bad customer service all round. Absolute joke

El tikka masala Estaba aguada y carecía de sabor, la esposa korma era peor. Bien, pero donde Samosas muy salada. Este lugar fue siempre un poco más caro que otros sitios de comida para llevar, pero la calidad era siempre mejor. Ya no es sólo una gestión ahora del hindú para llevar Mill. La campana sonó tiene en este para mí, ya que esa fue mi última orden.

Spot on as always, came about 20 minutes early. Portion size of the chips could do with being a little bit bigger but apart from that lovely Indians. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

The only criticism I have was that the Vindaloo was salty and not normally like that. A little disappointed with that but Everything else was lovely

Order was 15 minutes late. Food was lukewarm to say the least and the naan bread was cold and soggy (half of it was "wet". Ordered a king prawn starter that consisted of 2 king prawns (really?). Curry tasted nice but the 6 tiny pieces of chicken breast (chicken nugget size) that it contained was a bit disappointing to say the least. Very disappointing - I will stick with my usual take away from now on

Was meant to be delivered at 23:35 and it's now 00:40 and no food and I placed the order at 22:30 so I'm guessing it's not coming ... not very reliable if you ask me ... poor

The food was very poor quality. The chicken tikka pieces tasted of BBQ. The Bhuna curry lacked the flavours that you would expect. Delivery time was out by 30 mins, but it's not something that would prevent me from ordering from a place, as these things can happen.

Food was excellent as always but delivery was 15 minutes early. Fortunately we were in.

Ordered and it came promptly which is a bonus with any delivery. I ordered the lamb jalfraizi and the wife ordered the chicken exotica. Both were great. The jalfraizi was a lot saucier than I've had but was great. Keema pilar rice, chips and a keema naan. I'll be ordering from here again as I think this will become my new regular place. Not too pricey either.
