Grange Fish Bar in Staffordshire Moorlands

Delicious food , especially the fish . Cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend.

Would be five star everywhere, but one worker, short and blonde who I've come to learn is named Kelly, makes you feel unwelcome. Everyone else is amazing and great to see, and being a regular for the past few years now, I can safely say I've never seen someone more unpleasant and miserable.

This was my first and last time at this place. The woman in glasses who took my order was rude and made the experience unpleasant. I don’t want to go back because of the bad service. 26.08.

Food arrived earlier than expected, piping hot. Portions are generous - beautiful piece of fish. Pie was actually beautiful, and driver was friendly. Overall very impressed and will be sure to order again. Thanks!

Delicious freshly fried fish and chips. Friendly service and looks very clean. I feel they must strive to reach the food hygiene standards 5 rating, the current 4 rating can be off-putting. I have every faith in them and would not hesitate to recommend their food. Thank you

Amazing fish and chips, fish is cooked fresh when ordered , friendly staff , clean and fast at serving, has a carpark , good prices with big portions, their sauces are amazing, best fish and chips ive ever had for sure coming in again . Ive had multiple people tell me to come here instead of other places and they were right.

Absolutely gorgeous food can’t wait to order again

I've attached some pictures incase the manager says it's not true again. Absolutely disgusting. When we rang up he blatantly lied said he did the order and after taking it down to the shop soon changed his tune. Grange has truly gone down hill. Shepard Street chippy is way better. Never ordering here again.

Always good food and always hoy

Used to visit all the time and it was ok., a bit hit and miss but generally “ok” visited tonight after ordering online and was stood waiting to be served, whilst waiting the old lady serving with glasses began to show another customer an order pointing out how ridiculous it was to ask for the fish for in a bap and began laughing with the other customer and commenting that “they can put it in themselves” - vile that a member of staff is snipping about a customer, to another customer.. I asked that was my order she was sniping about… her face!!! I won't be paying her wages again.. last time I, or my family will ever visit .. awful!!!

Collection time was moved by 15 mins but this was not down to the takeaway , this was Just Eat and didn’t send any updates to say they had done this . Food as always lovely .

It's a bit hit and miss, not a huge selection on the veggie menu, chips sometimes soggy and I wouldn't advise haing the mushy peas! Not bad value for money, staff are friendly enough.

Nice food but it's rather expensive but most chippys are now.

Used click and collect service. Hence atmosphere rating. 4 adults and 3 kids all fish and chips under £60. Good quality 👌 and well cooked and packaged.

The food was nice but the delivery was awful unfortunately. I doubt it's a regular occurrence as it is a popular establishment so don't be put off by my review. It was probably just exceptionally busy as it was a Saturday night.

Food barely warm due to late arrival (30mins late)

Waited 2 hours from ordering Food went to wrong village and when arrived was cold !

Never turned up. Rang to ask and they said driver will be with us any minute however never asked my name address order number ect so how would they know? Instantly parred off as soon as they answered. First and last order with them. Looking at other reviews theyre frequent at this!

No idea why but whenever I have chips from here they are always soggy like mush even if freshly cooked. Never had this problem anywhere else.

Chips were superb. Mixed meat kebab... was awful donner and an awful shredded chicken laced in a vile salty stock cube coating in a cheap wrap. The donner was not great either. Shame, because having had fish n chips from this place, I couldn't knock it. Kebabs ain't good ar all.

Food was cold , the tiny pots that the peas and gravy were put in were the size that you expect garlic mayo in. That was our last time we order.

Took over 2 hrs to deliver , estimated time at order was 3o minutes . Food was semi warm , had to be microwaved

I have confirmation email from h just eat that order was received and delivered by requested takeaway but they have no such order 🤨 never had a problem with this takeaway and food always good . Avoid this establishment. They had me and my family waiting for 2 hours, and lied for 40 minutes about where it was. Food arrived stone cold. Never again.

Late, I rang up 4 times. In the end, they ignored the phone. Food was stone cold, I won’t waste my time ordering again.

Ordered at 18:15- food has not yet arrived at 19:53. I was sent a text- food was on the way 18:51. When I called to ask where order was I was told on way, I then Rang again to chase and the lady handed the phone over to a gentleman stating ‘it’s her’….. extremely unprofessional!!! Will never order again, wouldn’t even rate 1 star if I could put 0. Woman was extremely rude throughout process, as per previous reviews… obviously nothing learnt.

The Grange is always really tasty; service linked with delivery (not so much) wouldn’t usually order through JustEat but in this occasion needed the delivery service. Probably won’t do that again. Call in, it’s much better.

Really gutted the food was awful. Think it was yesterday’s leftovers. Batter on sausage and fish was soggy and the actual sausage and fish was not tasty at all. I couldn’t get it out of the wrapper it was soaked in oil and then just fell apart. Definitely not fresh food. Chips were greasy and tasted like they’d been fried a few days ago then slapped back into some oil to heat up and sent to us for delivery. There was absolutely no redeeming features to this meal at all. I wish I’d chopped a few spuds put the fryer on at home and put some frozen fish into the air fryer. The curry sauce tasted watered down. Waste of money I’m sorry to say 😞.

2nd time ordering from here and again it was lovely! Still piping hot when it arrived and proper tasty! This has become our go to order on line chippy.

Very good value and good size portions

Food pretty cold when we got it. Delivery poor. Restaurant may well have been busy BUT still no excuse to deliver cold food! Restaurant food and hygiene is good which is why I ordered from the Grange. Messages to the restaurant were also not read which is annoying. I requested just ONE curry sauce and got sent two, incidentally both pots had leaked. I will not order from the Grange again.

Delivered with a smile but as soon as the order was placed it said on its way and only just got to me before the allotted time. Food quality was brilliant as always. This restaurant never disappoints.

Food was hot and tasty, and was delivered quickly.

Loved the burger but didnt want the coleslaw on it, it might be useful that you can stipulate which salad items you want rather than just simply tick the salad box? Arrived within the time frame and hot. The fish and chips etc were all good too.

Well first time today I ordered from Grange fish bar and what a brilliant food arrived on time piping hot lovely fish and chips was lovely not greasey in was well worth the first time buying love it

Had food from here a few times now. Always arrives within specified time, and is always hot!! Chips are lovely and a good portion sizes too!! Always been happy with everything we've ordered from here.

Rang twice first time told been busy food on way 15 mins later rang again told they were chasing up driver and to ring back in 5 minutes food eventually arrived not good service

Terrible in every way tonight - even more disappointing having ordered quite a few times before and received delicious food that was delivered (on the whole) on time. Not tonight. Pre-ordered for 19:20 delivery which became 19:30 and then 20:05 and was delivered close to 20:15. The excuse was that the shop was busy - well what is the point of pre-ordering to a stated time if 'walk ins' take priority? When the food eventually arrived it must have been sitting around for a long time - batter was soggy, scampi full of water, everything barely warm.. best part was the gravy and the (tepid) peas. Of 3 meals, ate some of it, the rest went in the bin. Not worth the risk of poor service, inedible food and very late delivery - won't order again.

Very slow delivery - almost 50 minutes late, no apology even when I phoned the restaurant Poor customer service

Ordered for 20:05, estimated delivery time was 20:15, rang the shop at 21:30 as still not arrived, told it would be 10 mins, finally turned up at 21:00. Worth the wait.......absolutely not! Fish in breadcrumbs as dry as a bone, chips mediocre, peas and curry sauce were the only good part. First time ordering and will most definitely be the last!
