Grand Mangal in Kingston upon Thames

Me and my partner were looking for somewhere for dinner that wasn’t too expensive. This was less than a five min walk from our hotel. Upon arriving, we were greeted by very welcoming and friendly staff. Both the food and service were incredible and if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be stopping by!

Il Mulino is a gem of a restaurant. The food is very reasonably priced and delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Will definitely visit again when we can

I am just about to book for another birthday celebration. The staff here are welcoming and pleasant. Food is well-presented and very high quality. It's a great place to come as a family and enjoy a meal right from starters to after-dinner drinks.

Walked past the restaurant many times and got the feeling it would be a good choice. Not really sure why. However the food was excellent, freshly cooked and good portions. The waiting staff were fine without being special, but the owner came to talk to us. He would have been happy to cater off menu and basically gave the impression that he would prepare whatever we wanted as long as he had some notice. It wasn't busy, but not empty and still had a nice atmosphere with what were clearly repeat customers (always a good sign) lastly... The menu is excellent value for money. Good to see a quality product at reasonable prices. Happy to leave a big tip. We'll done Il Mulino

I have visited this place on 3-4 occasions and every time ordered something different! Every time I was amazed how flavours were well selected and worked in perfectly served dish!

This was our first time in this restaurant, food was excellent, very big portions, tasty fresh and lovely service. Definitely will go back. Also value for money.

Quiet midweek dinner out. On Tolworth Broadway, with on street parking. Nice range of Italian food on the menu . Friendly staff. Starter was delicious. Pizza mains were tasty, and service was fast. Prices were good.

Possibly the worst Italian meal I have ever encountered..... for starters we had mushroom in cream sauce on toasted bread - well they weren’t lying it was 50/50 hovis soggy bread covered in a Luke warm tinned mushroom soup, not a fresh mushroom in sight literally looked as disgusting as it tasted. Fresh Garlic bread with cheese - (made in proper pizza oven) was in fact frozen sliced garlic bread And then the crowd pleaser seafood creamy garlic, chilli linguine - well that was a Bland sloppy mess with no garlic no chilli and frozen seafood from Iceland which was grim.. We asked for bread (which from my understanding is something always served in an Italian restaurant) and the big Italian chef came over and asked if 50/50 hovis bread was ok......(we declined) but he had already sent the waitress to get clover butter from the next door store. The waitresses spent the whole time watching us to see our reaction as clearly They knew how nasty the food was. I will never ever ever go again.

Fantastic meal, friendly staff. We had a table of 9 and each course came out together. The portion sizes weren’t massive but that’s no bad thing! Would highly recommend.

I couldn't recommend this place and neither would I describe it as a restaurant - more a Turkish fast food establishment. The quality of the food was average, the prices high and the service poor. There are better dining choices in the area and I won't be returning here.

A nice local place, quiet Turkish music and tasty food. Wide choice of traditional Mediterranean dishes, very well cooked. Staff is very kind.

Great local Turkish restaurant. Well cooked, all came out promptly, flavoursome food and grilled meats, including kebabs, were all really delicious. Very good warm bread cooked to order. The Australian waitress was knowledgable about the food, attentive to our needs and very friendly. Very moreish red and white Turkish wine served with skill by her too. Please can you add a dessert to the menu, some baklava would of been a lovely ending to our meal? And perhaps some live music one night!!

This newly opened Turkish based resteraunt is clean, modern and welcoming.

My wife and I have been waiting a long time for a Turkish restaurant in Surbiton. Finally one has arrived and it was worth the wait. We ordered online for collection and the 10% discount applied at the checkout was an unexpected bonus. The food was ready in 20 minutes despite it saying half an hour online. I ordered the mixed kebab and my wife had the mixed shish. My wife even commented how fresh the side salad was. The portions were large and the quality of the meat was excellent and all at a very reasonable price. Glad to have you in town Grand Mangal. Keep it up and we’ll be back soon.

Very friendly, obliging service. Really very good tasting food. Great flavours. Portions are large - so visit with a very good appetite. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended! We will be returning soon.

We had seen the renovations taking place before their opening and looked at their menu in passing and decided it would be good to try on a hot summer evening. So glad we did! The food was very good - full of flavour and nicely presented. We made the “mistake” of ordering 3 starters between two of us and then struggled to finish our mains. We both opted for something other than kebabs and went for two of their meat dishes with rice and bulgur. Had to take a doggy bag as it was too good to waste. Will definitely be going back.

We went on the opening night so it would be unfair to comment on the service which was eager to please but a little chaotic. This is a nicely decorated upmarket Turkish restaurant with prices to match. The food was very tasty and it would be worth visiting again when the staff have a little more experience.
