The chap who runs this place is fantastic. Friendly, fun and can't do enough for you. Great atmosphere, with quality authentic food. My favourite restaurant in Surbiton.

A fantastic little place. I’m slightly reticent to write this review as it’s becoming increasingly more and more difficult to reserve a table at short notice. For good reason. Food first. A short but extremely well executed menu. The Carbonara is truly exceptional. Made with mild bogglingly good guanciale and no cream, heaven forbid - (shame on you AlForno). Pizzas are decent and children very well looked after. My only criticism is that the truly sublime calves liver was taken off the menu. Please bring it back! Service next. If you have the A-Team it is exemplary. Guiseppe, the restaurant manager is a legend. Andrea Riva at his much touted restaurant in Barnes could take a masterclass from Guiseppe. If it’s the B-Team service can be a bit sketchy. Finally, the owners are fully engaged and open to feedback.

perf! have had many birthday gatherings here and it’s great fun. the carbonara in particular is fantastic - if you’re going in a two, i reccomend sharing a pasta and a pizza to get the best of both!

This was my first time coming to Cento Uno and the staff members were friendly and accommodating. I had the carbonara - I’m super fussy about carbonara and hate when it’s packed with loads of cream - but it was tasty and authentic, very similar to one you’d find in Italy. Prices weren’t unreasonable either! Will definitely be back :)

Amazing food, was the best carbonara I've ever had and my partner really enjoyed her pizza. The service was also incredible, thank you for being so accommodating with us and our 10 month old, really enjoyed our lunch. Will be returning in the near future.

What a lovely restaurant! Such amazing food and the service was stellar. We recently had American friends come into town and they loved this place. My girlfriend said that she loved the carbonara and I have to agree, it was delicious. The only issue we had was when we recently tried to walk in, the online maps time said the place was open until midnight but when we went in to sit, they informed us they stopped serving food after 9:30 and we needed a reservation. As it gets really busy, I can understand but hopefully the time can be amended so other don’t make that mistake

Wonderful Italian restaurant and coming from an Italian is a true complement! The menu offers classic Italian dishes like bolognese and superb pizzas but also sophisticated seasonal like polenta and guanciale. And the Ferrero dessert is superb. Giuseppe the owner makes you feel at home. Grazie mille!

Cento Uno is one of my favourite restaurants - not just in the Greater London area, but also in the UK! The delicious Italian food is made by Italians who are so passionate about cooking and serving the best tasting fare they can. And it shows. They look into and assess EVERY detail on the menu and each dish on it. But it's not just the gorgeous food that makes me and others keep coming back here time and time again. It's also the wonderful vibe and the superbly warm, engaging and professional service. Cento is a truly special place. And you have to go there...so you too can enjoy this excellent restaurant as much as I and so many others do time after time. I love it! And so will you!

Food is great and the portions are good. It's not the cheapest place, but you definitely get what you pay for. The atmosphere could use a bit better music I think.

I have to agree with other reviewers, the menu is changing and not for the better. There used to be a fantastic fixed price menu - no more. There used to be Italians working here, but not any more. The flair and refinement of the old menu has been replaced with larger portions. It’s not bad, but sadly a once great restaurant is now just a quite good restaurant. Oh well.

Service was terrible, the waiter didn’t bring enough menus for everyone, didn’t bring the drinks without being promoted, had zero patience and was surly and unwelcoming. We didn’t see a single smile or friendly gesture from the waiter and were made to feel unwelcome. The food was ok but not great, it feels like the quality has slipped but the prices have gone up. Not everything was that hot and the dressing in the salad was very sweet. The beers weren’t very cold and the wine took an age to come and required several prompts before it came to the table. The resturant was very loud and the overall atmosphere wasn’t very welcoming.

Food was pretty good and prices weren't unreasonable (except for the starters - they were overpriced). Service could have been better. Was given just a spoon to eat the carbonara which was a bit odd! I'd visit again though.

I enjoyed my pizza, and the wine. I also thought the service was pleasant, and the decor good. My friend wasn't as keen on her dish, although I think that may have been more of a personal taste issue, rather than the food itself being bad. The only complaint I have is the lack of vegetarian options.

Great Italian pizza! Definitely recommend

Very refreshing, firstly the food, that does a great job, I really enjoyed my food and I will happily come back for more. What I enjoyed the most though was the service, they were brilliant, attentive without being invasive, accommodating and really nothing was too much. That they were all young staff, willing and eager was a blast of fresh air, I could not complement them enough, amazing people and that made this evening very memorable. If only we could get this kind of service in other places, they have set the bar so very high we will have to come back for more.

Order the Tricolore pasta and you will be hooked. Friendly staff and with some Italian customers sitting behinds us, we felt we were in Italy.

UPDATE: Ate there last week and not of the same quality any more, pizza was nowhere near as good as it used to be. Wine list had also gone down hill, cost of living crisis I assume. Sad really... The diavola pizza is a work of art. Huge hat tip to Fabio on creating the best pizza I have ever had in the UK, I look forward to many more. Staff are fantastic and the ambiance is that of a family run Italian Trattoria, all round great dining experience.

The service in this restaurant is amazing and the food is so so good! I came from central London to meet some friends and was beyond satisfied with everything about this place. Peter who works there went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience. Will 1000% be going back!

Disclaimer: this was an Uber eats delivery. Was excited to try Cento Uno as been recommended by a friend. Left quite disappointed The diavola pizza turned up cold. I had to warm it up in the air fryer. I only live a few minutes away. The toppings were lop sided. Half the pizza had topping on the other half was very bare. The side that had topping on was nice though. Ordered (& paid for) extra cheese but literally seemed just like a normal cheese portion Ordered (& paid for) extra garlic sauce. I didn't get any garlic sauce at all. Not sure I'll be ordering from here again. Maybe better service and experience in the restaurant

Our absolute favorite spot for dinner. The food is delicious - you must get the Cento Uno pizza and/or the carbonara. They take such good care of us every time we’re there!!

Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Cento Uno, sat at the bar which was cozy and had a view of the pizza master. Everything on the menu is well composed - arancini was tasty with the sauces complimenting the spinach and cheeses inside, prawn and crab pasta was brimming with a lovely briny seafood sauce with a nice punch of chili (special request). The service is very relaxed and friendly with Giuseppe manning the front of the house and making everyone feel like they are dining at a friend's place. Wines are reasonable and the options are a nice compliment to the dishes. Parking is easy on Maple Road, and we will be back again soon!

Gluten free pizzas are so good here (and non-gf ones too!). They also make amazing cocktails.

Great food with abysmal service. Will claim to have gluten & dairy free but when you arrive it is unavailable. Also when ordering a take away or pick up it can take over 2 hours & they will offer you a complimentary drink for your troubles

Been here a couple of times. Always a good place, but this recent visit was great which is why I’m writing this review. Peter really took care of me and my mates who haven’t been to this restaurant before. We were all so impressed and had a great time with him. Go visit, and ask for Peter. He’ll treat you well.

The best spot for an authentic Italian dinner. Visited last night top food and top service, our server was very friendly and the manager made sure we felt welcome from the begining to the end of our visit, lovely to meet you Peter, you certainly are a huge asset to the business. Very tasty pasta but a rather small portion. The toilet facilities are limited as the ladies was closed off and it was the only one available which wasn't ideal. The waiting staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Delicious pizza and great service!

Starter was cold had to be sent back to be reheated. Pasta was meant to be in a cream sauce , was dry as a bone, only had couple of mouth fulls & left it, was indelible. Never again.

Just had one of the best Italians since being in Italy! Great atmosphere sensational food. They forgot my wine and gave me a free glass to apologise! Coming here again for sure thank you!

Stay away!! I had pizza in so many places including IT but this was very bad. We ordered 2 different types of pizza. The though and the souce was separated from each other, no nice taste to it. Though was white and non-tasty. The waiter was not really kidn and attentive. He couldn't even botherred to say thank you when we paid. I moved to the area recently and wanted to see why this place is always busy but I don't think the reason is food. Becuase, it's got a nice corner location on Maple Road next to No97 and serves alchol. Otherwise, everything is poor.The toilets are dirty which is just behind the pizza counter where also the floor & counter is dirty. I am suprised their hygine raiting is 5!! I wonder howlong this review will stay at the top as it looks like all reviews are 5 star and from months ago! If you want good pizza, go to the The Black Lion Surbiton pub!! They are even sourdough, taste and not too pricy!

Thought the food was average. Over kill on the dough. Was with my mum and sister and we all felt the waiter was a bit dismissive. Appeared to be the headwaiter. The other 2 we spoke to seemed pleasant.

Really good vegan options when you ask. I'd prefer if the menu already showed this (VG and vgo) and if there was vegan friendly prosecco (which is so easy to get nowadays) but otherwise this place is great and the food was amazing.

Tonight Deliveroo delivered two pizzas stone cold. Why? Because it took them 45 minutes to pick them up. I called the manager and 20 minutes later fresh hot pizzas were delivered by himself and the chef. That’s the customer commitment that makes the difference! Thank you!!
