Very good and friendly staff and the staff were great too! 👍

Good coffee and choice of cakes, other items always look well presented. It is a bustling atmosphere but not a lot of room to manoeuvre.

I have tried iced caramel frappé for £5.35 which is very expensive but is not only that they did not served it with ice at all and it was very sweet and it wasn't good test neither. Cheap takeaway cup 🥤 too for the price. Never again.

Nice atmosphere and decor. Conveniently situated next to the bus station and close to the railway station. Coffee was a bit weak. There was an extensive choice of cake options and plenty of savoury options too.

Hot chocolate was lukewarm. Scones were good, but there was no cream. Very noisy.

A LOVELY coffee shop. The ladies here are very friendly and kind. The menu is great and the food is delicious. For my recent trip to Lincoln we came 3 times in 4 days! When we return I'll definitely come again!

Very pleasant place to pop for a coffee and a bite to eat. Been here a couple of times, fast service and tasty food. Good vibes and you even get a little pair of scissors to open the sauce sachets... helpful if you lack a bit of dexterity like me!

Coffee latte bit too weak just tasted of milk frappe was no good either.

Visited the Grand many times with family, meeting friends, etc. it's a lovely, compact place and the food is excellent. The baguettes are wonderful, generously filled and exceptionally tasty. The coffee and tea is excellent as well. Tables can be hard to find as it can get very busy indeed. A compliment if ever there was one. Thoroughly recommend trying out The Grand Coffee House. The food, top notch. The drinks, lovely. The service, A1. Excellent.

A little pricey and rather busy (which is a good sign!), BUT the quality of the food and drink, and the service, is beyond routine and felt genuine. Best veg lasagne I have had out for many years and a good sized portion with very tasty garlic bread, made for a fantastic meal which served as a nutritiious and tasty brunch.

Service was brilliant, and the atmosphere lovely and relaxing. Drinks were good but the Victoria sponge was dry with a strange taste so dont think it was fresh. Handy for the train and bus station

If I'm spending £1.75 on a croissant, normally they're served with butter/ jam. Or at very least WARM. I could have walked into the coop next door and gotten 4 dry, unheated croissants for the same price

Although there are plenty of choices in the extensive menu, it's worth looking at the specials of the day. If you're a fan of good, honest English food, then this is the place for you. We chose the sausages, peas and mash in a large Yorkshire pudding. This was a decent portion and was more than satisfactory. The coffee was great too, and later we shared a slice of lemon meringue. This was light and lemony, and was almost perfect. The next time we're in Lincoln waiting for our train, we'll pop in again and order some good food and coffee.

Have been in here a couple of times when we have time to fill waiting for a bus and always feel it’s the most extraordinarily lovely place. Often cafes linked to public transport hubs are rather run-down or very basic, but the ‘Grand’ is really GRAND in the nicest sense of the word. It is warm, welcoming and friendly with nice decor and a great atmosphere. There’s an assortment of seating for all types - comfy sofas, cafe tables or high bar stools. The food and drinks we’ve had have been super - tea served in a teapot, lovely hot coffee and a fabulous selection of delicious cakes. We had the most enormous slices of cake at very sensible prices, and my husband reckoned the chocolate fudge cake was the most moist, chocolatey and fudgey cake he’d ever had. It certainly set us up for a long tedious bus trip home!!! Many thanks.

It has a lovely cosy place for food and drinks at reasonable prices with very friendly staff.. We popped in for a cold drink while awaiting our train . It has that small pub feel

I love this place. They have a wide variety of dishes to select from and that's coming from a vegetarian. I also love the ambience. You would not think you're next to a busy bus station. In the summer tho', if you're inclined to people watch, this is the place for you! 😎

Fast service it’s been a couple of months since I have been in. Tina was warm and welcoming. Nothing is ever too much to ask the staff are always willing to help. Can’t fault this place and 100% recommend to anyone. I have seen the recent reviews and I can really assure you if you ever had a problem 99.99%it would get sorted out straight away. Well done everyone! X

Family visited yesterday, we had the Grandbreakfast and also the vegetarian option. Food was great and quality and amount exceptional, also service was really good

I was my first time to visit this cafe. I ordered a cup of coffee yesterday and sat on a couch, enjoying my time. An hour passed, I was asked by one of the staff to move to a different spot because someone else wanted my seat. Although there were other available spots. The man who “supposedly” wanted my seat was standing, staring and waiting for me to leave. I specifically have chosen that seat because of my scoliosis. The staff might have thought I was just one of those lurkers in the cafe. I just left coz I didnt want to say something bad. I am NOT coming back to that coffeeshop ever! Coffee was just okay.

Sorry to complain but had the worse ice coffee ever, at £4.25 I expected better, the coffee was strong and still very warm and undrinkable I binned it, couldn’t take it back it was a takeaway as I was in a rush.

We visited this beautiful independent coffee shop for lunch early May .The food was superb, i had the lasagne salad & garlic bread, both of my friends had the burger & chips. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating, this is the main reason we always come back here for lunch, nothing is to much trouble for them .Thank you again ladies ..I would highly recommend to anyone ..Five Stars all round

Visited around 1:30pm on 13th May. Based on the photos on Facebook my mother and I both ordered ham, egg and chips. What we got bore no resemblance to the photos. We didn’t get succulent ham and half a plate of chips. We got one flimsy bit of ham and a tiny portion of chips. The only thing similar was the egg. Will stick to Churchills for lunch now. Pity as always have had a cracking breakfast - best omelette in the City.

Whist I feel that the food is of a good standard and I have visited often and the staff are friendly and amicable. However, this is the third time that I have visited when it has been extremely busy and tables were at a premium. This is fine as it is good for business. The issue I have was that on each of these three occasions I found that a table was taken up by the owners of the premises discussing business. They were not eating for drinking. They were just sat at the table talking. This I found annoying as they were obviously aware that people were waiting for tables including myself. I mentioned this to the staff behind the counter. The replied that they could not do anything as the people were the owners of the premises. If one wants to talk business why not do it in an office and stop taking up tables needlessly.

Lovely place to visit. A tasty breakfast served.

Came here on the recommendation of the wife, really wish I hadnt! From the outside it does look really inviting, but the breakfast was something else. Ordered poached eggon toast with bacon, eggs came out hard boiled, never seen poached bacon was nice and crispy but the toast was anemic! And smothered in margarine. Cappuccino was like dish water, won't return in a hurry.

I had the veggie burger and chips. The chips were good but the burger was very poor both patties were dry, overcooked and had little flavour, part of one was like concrete. The green tea was good. I've been there before and it used to be good.

I asked for a hazelnut mocha, which I have in every coffee shop normally, the drink was so sweet I couldn’t even drink it. I simply asked for a remake without the syrup (which I paid for). I had to wait at list 10 minutes whilst I heard the staff complaining at me wanting a new drink and it turns out they brought me the drink back, poured half of the original away and filled it up with milk to water it down and the coffee now tasted, sweet still and watered down. I simply asked for a new drink and I was refused, the lady tried to patronise me and say hazelnut syrup is sweet and said if I want another drink I would have to pay for another and bare in mind the drink cost me 5.25 and then she took the drink off me

Only had a coffee. Coffee was pretty gross, and the cafe doesn't offer itself as a viable alternative to 200degrees, Angel cafe or even Costa/Starbucks round the corner which offer much better coffee at a similar price.

Tea & Cake in a cosy atmosphere, loved it

It's alright but ( there always has to be a but ) there is too many chairs and tables, so making it a bit awkward to move about. The coffee is overpriced for what it is, for about the same price you can have Starbucks, Basically it tries to be something it isn't.

Always such a lovely friendly vibe in here, great service, nice music, warm and cosy.

This coffee shop is by the bus station in Lincoln in the non-touristy part of the town. It opened early so we visited for a light breakfast. Cafés in bus stations or railway stations can sometimes be a bit basic but this one was very pleasant and ran by very nice staff. The quality was good and the prices were reasonable.

We couldn't have been more happy. The food was cooked to perfection, two of us had the burger and chips served in a brioche bun (delicious) makes a nice change to a soggy wet bun that’s served in many other establishments, this came with a lovely side salad, our other friends had paninis. Likewise, they were served to perfection. The waiting on staff went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable, thank you to Sarah & Verlie for their prompt, polite service👍 We would recommend this coffee shop to anyone.

I come most mornings for a coffee and some breakfast. Always a great atmosphere and always great service. Would highly recommend this place. Not many cafe’s in lincoln are like this. 10/10

Prices and quality don’t reflect portion for a “grand” breakfast! Mouldy toast and lack of items that would be expected on the breakfast which you now pay extra for! Previously had stopped coming here because you couldn’t swap items like for like without paying extra and now not even getting decent produce on my first visit back in 6 months 😂 ketchup bottle says Heinz, yet it’s not Heinz to n the bottle! Disgusting and needs shutting down!

Friendly, relaxing and lovely coffee!

Such a relaxing place to go, absolutely love the cosy and styling feel to the place. The staff were excellent and incredibly helpful while the food was absolutely delicious, my partner and I had the breakfast bap and bagel and can’t wait to return. My partner absolutely loved their smoothies and at one point said they wanted a bucket of it due to how good it was. A very good variety of food alongside this and all with excellent prices. We can’t wait to return and wish we’d visited sooner!

Very pleasant and an excellent coffe!

I ordered a veggie burger and the bun was stale. When I complained about it the lady brushed me off saying it's tosted. If it would have been toasted the whole bun would be toasted not only one side of the bun at the edge rock hard. I asked for a refund and she simply walked away. No apology nothing. Incredibly rude.

This is a beautiful place the food is lovely and not forgetting the deserts YUMMY , the staff was great the whole place was decorated beautifully and very clean 5 stars well done girls

The ambience and friendly welcome were a fantastic start to my visit but things went downhill quickly. I was charged GBP 2.50 for a "medium " Americano, but look at the photo! Medium? Really? No toilet except the bus station one next door where 20p is required to spend a penny. Coffee was pretty bland and tasteless. With so many other coffee shops around, I won't be returning.

Bit late with this review but on a cold wet Xmas Market Saturday we met friends here for a drink , it was getting on but staff very helpful and no rush to leave, drinks good quality and the comfortable surrounds were super. Very pleased, as were our friends.

Our second visit and now intend to make this a regular stop for coffee and food. A warm and cosy place to visit prior to catching a bus. Wide variety of food and drinks. Beautifully set out and lots of character. Friendly staff who are polite and efficient. Go there.
