I've been coming to grain and grind regularly for several years now. It's such a nice place to chat with friends or to hunker down and get some work done. The staff are all super friendly and attentive, creating a harmonious atmosphere. My fave place in town for sure.

i ordered a gingerbread latte maybe 10 mins ago and it's the best coffee i’ve ever tasted! 😍. the lady was also very friendly and nice. i would definitely come here again, decent prices and nice looking cakes !

This coffee shop was located close to where I was staying so I decided to pop in to pass the time. I ordered a hot chocolate with salted caramel and a biscoff cookie muffin. It. Was. Amazing. All of it. Plus the barista was so friendly and gave me some recommendations!

I have been a regular at Grain and Grind since I moved to Inverness a year ago and I can honestly say Joanna, Gavin and Sarah are just the most friendly and welcoming staff you could ever ask for. They genuinely care about everyone that comes through their doors, to them, we are not just a faceless consumer, we are people, and they go out of their way to treat us as such. So glad to have found this lovely cafe and their incredible cakes and coffee!

I visit the place often, because the coffee is the best I've ever come across. The staff is always nice, have a kind word or a smile (especially if you have a furry friend with you :) ) I enjoy the tunes. The only negative is that they don't serve soup

Been a few times, always been good. On this occasion Barista's tone was extremely off-putting. Came across curt, angry and frustrated over a minor issue with touch screen. Best coffee in town, nice relaxed atmosphere

My home away from home! Five star vibes and five star staff. I love it in here, I keep coming back for the coffee and mainly the members of staff as I have been lucky enough to connect with each of them and they're all just wonderful humans

Lovely place though doesn't feel as cozy as some other cafe's I have been in. The person taking the order on the day also didn't seem to have been having the best morning, which happens, the weather was miserable anyway. :) I got a hot chocolate and a little cake and the hot chocolate was wonderful. Decadent and creamy, dare I say. I really enjoyed my visit here, and I can see myself coming back for more cakes and hot drinks.

Must visit! Again and again. Hands down the best coffee in the city. The baristas consistantly make delicious coffee and are all super friendly. Non human family members are welcome too and often receive an extra special welcome 🐕 Lots of delicious plant based options from baguettes, cakes and hot & cold drinks. Cosy vibes, great coffee, tastey food, friendly staff, pleasant music and thriving plants. 4 stars not 5 due to products of animal exploitation being sold here. Sit in & take away available

Couldn’t have had a better experience at this cafe. Which was all due to the incredible service from what seemed to be the only guy working there! Nothing was too much and he accommodated so well to everyone’s wishes. It was a shame we stopped on our way out of town otherwise we would definitely have been back! You will fit in perfectly in Melbourne with those barista skills if you end up coming! Perfect coffee.

Excellent coffee. Highly recommend the breakfast bagels (veggie and bacon ones), great flavour and very filling. The barista this morning handled our big order alone like a champ.

This place is great. I have a very particular pallet for chai, and this place did it perfectly. The chai latte was one of the best I have tried. Also - the carrot cake dessert was delicious. A must try in Inverness

Had one of the nicest oat milk lattes in while here, really good. And the vegan thing I had really complemented it well. I didn’t realise how close to the bus stop it was so panicked and got a too go order when I could have just stayed there the whole time and ordered one of the delicious smelling bagels.

Amazing local coffee and cake shop with delicious bakes and great coffee. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and the place has such a chilled vibe. Sadly only here on holiday otherwise we would go back!

Great cafe, friendly staff, excellent vegan options!

What a cute place! Stopped in on a whim for a mocha and cake, and was not disappointed in the least. The baristas were sweet and friendly, and the atmosphere was quirky and inviting. I appreciated their humor (see pictures) and enjoyed my mocha and coconut/plum cake so very much. Highly recommended!

This place was our first stop from our trip to Inverness. It's a small and cozy place to enjoy a hot cup of coffee. We ordered 2 veg bagel sandwiches, an Americano and a Cappuccino to go and we were not disappointed. The Americano was very aromatic and comforting so it was with the cappuccino. The bagel sandwiches were huge and we had a hard time finishing them. 😄

The people working there were very welcoming and sweet, I went there whilst on a school trip with my friends and they made us feel very comfortable and the music they put on was 10/10 .The beverages were good, it was very pleasant, cosy and comfortable. I would 100% recommend, go there, now.

Only 4 stars as although it tasted very good, my coffee was not hot - lukewarm at best. The woman serving could have been more welcoming, especially as we were her first customers of the morning.

Had probably the best flat white and espresso yet in Inverness in the last week. Good team of coffee folk working there and keep up the good work between the toaster and the cafe. Happy to spend my money on really good coffee. This is where you find it. Keep it up guys and thank you.

First time I’ve came here, nice environment and friendly staff service. I had take away flat white and lemon with elderflower slice, which was super pasty. Coffee was nice and strong. Recommend.

Best coffee we had on our trip through the UK! Us kiwis like to think we have high standards when it comes to coffee and this place was definitely ‘A1 ace standard coffee.’ Was so impressed I even took some of their inversneckie blend - which is smooth and delicious - home with me to NZ. Great staff, friendly service too. Thanks team for the nice experience. Highly recommend!

Needed a caffeine pit stop on the way back home from Wester Ross. Selected a random Inverness coffee shop into Maps and set off. We were not disappointed. High quality coffee with a nice selection of cakes (including vegan and gluten free). Service was fast and friendly. The toilets were clean.

Great speciality coffee in Inverness. They roast their own coffee and will regularly rotate the coffee on offer in the Café.

Excellent coffee, place smells wonderful when you walk in. We had lattes, a plain scone with jam and their raspberry and white chocolate pasty. Everything was excellent. My wife pulled me along here as she was raving about it from her visit the day before. Best coffee in Inverness perhaps….?

I wondered past this cute little spot on the corner in need of a good coffee and a smile! Sarah was great. Between fending off bored school kids and delivering awesome friendly customer service she was across it all! ! I ordered the vegan sausage roll.. amazing! The suggestion was with onion chutney and wasn’t wrong. Coffee great, little cakes and short order affair well worth a visit when you are in Inverness.

What a great coffee shop! The owner was so nice about making recommendations for places to see nearby, and you could tell she was very passionate about coffee. The food also slapped, I found myself wishing I'd gotten more after we left

We last visited Inverness in 2019 and were lucky enough to be taken here by our friends who live locally. We were only staying briefly and after a quick stroll along the river we were really pleased to find it open just after 5pm. The coffee was as good as I remember it and the freshly grated chocolate on top was delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer and sampled some of the cake as it looked delicious.

We enjoyed a great cappuccino here with real chocolate flakes on top. One of the best coffees we’ve had since travelling in Scotland. Friendly staff member and clean and welcoming surrounds. Cakes were tasty as well .

Great vegan coffee and cake selection and friendly staff. I have unfortunately stopped going as while I'm happy for places to be dog-friendly there were two very loud barking dogs when I last went which made it very stressful, and I'd already ordered by then so was stuck. Would have appreciated if the owners had been told to keep the dogs calm as it was impossible to talk or relax.

Auf der Suche nach einem guten Cappuccino bin ich bei Sarah im Grain and Grind gelandet. Top Empfehlung, der Jammy Dodger Blondie war unglaublich gut, die Salzkristalle explodieren förmlich auf der Zunge. Hell gerösteter Espresso, Double-Shot ist der Standard, geschmacklich super schokoladig und ausgewogen. Es war großartig!
