Had one of the nicest oat milk lattes in while here, really good. And the vegan thing I had really complemented it well. I didn’t realise how close to the bus stop it was so panicked and got a too go order when I could have just stayed there the whole time and ordered one of the delicious smelling bagels.

Amazing local coffee and cake shop with delicious bakes and great coffee. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and the place has such a chilled vibe. Sadly only here on holiday otherwise we would go back!

Called in here for a coffee and a bit of breakfast. I had a cinnamon swirl and it was lovely. Very relaxed Sunday morning atmosphere

What a cute place! Stopped in on a whim for a mocha and cake, and was not disappointed in the least. The baristas were sweet and friendly, and the atmosphere was quirky and inviting. I appreciated their humor (see pictures) and enjoyed my mocha and coconut/plum cake so very much. Highly recommended!

This place was our first stop from our trip to Inverness. It's a small and cozy place to enjoy a hot cup of coffee. We ordered 2 veg bagel sandwiches, an Americano and a Cappuccino to go and we were not disappointed. The Americano was very aromatic and comforting so it was with the cappuccino. The bagel sandwiches were huge and we had a hard time finishing them. 😄

The people working there were very welcoming and sweet, I went there whilst on a school trip with my friends and they made us feel very comfortable and the music they put on was 10/10 .The beverages were good, it was very pleasant, cosy and comfortable. I would 100% recommend, go there, now.

Only 4 stars as although it tasted very good, my coffee was not hot - lukewarm at best. The woman serving could have been more welcoming, especially as we were her first customers of the morning.

Had probably the best flat white and espresso yet in Inverness in the last week. Good team of coffee folk working there and keep up the good work between the toaster and the cafe. Happy to spend my money on really good coffee. This is where you find it. Keep it up guys and thank you.

First time I’ve came here, nice environment and friendly staff service. I had take away flat white and lemon with elderflower slice, which was super pasty. Coffee was nice and strong. Recommend.

Best coffee we had on our trip through the UK! Us kiwis like to think we have high standards when it comes to coffee and this place was definitely ‘A1 ace standard coffee.’ Was so impressed I even took some of their inversneckie blend - which is smooth and delicious - home with me to NZ. Great staff, friendly service too. Thanks team for the nice experience. Highly recommend!

Needed a caffeine pit stop on the way back home from Wester Ross. Selected a random Inverness coffee shop into Maps and set off. We were not disappointed. High quality coffee with a nice selection of cakes (including vegan and gluten free). Service was fast and friendly. The toilets were clean.

Great speciality coffee in Inverness. They roast their own coffee and will regularly rotate the coffee on offer in the Café.

Excellent coffee, place smells wonderful when you walk in. We had lattes, a plain scone with jam and their raspberry and white chocolate pasty. Everything was excellent. My wife pulled me along here as she was raving about it from her visit the day before. Best coffee in Inverness perhaps….?

I wondered past this cute little spot on the corner in need of a good coffee and a smile! Sarah was great. Between fending off bored school kids and delivering awesome friendly customer service she was across it all! ! I ordered the vegan sausage roll.. amazing! The suggestion was with onion chutney and wasn’t wrong. Coffee great, little cakes and short order affair well worth a visit when you are in Inverness.

We last visited Inverness in 2019 and were lucky enough to be taken here by our friends who live locally. We were only staying briefly and after a quick stroll along the river we were really pleased to find it open just after 5pm. The coffee was as good as I remember it and the freshly grated chocolate on top was delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer and sampled some of the cake as it looked delicious.

What a great coffee shop! The owner was so nice about making recommendations for places to see nearby, and you could tell she was very passionate about coffee. The food also slapped, I found myself wishing I'd gotten more after we left

Large coffee shop. Very dog friendly and space for them to sit with you without being too close to other dogs. Treats given by staff to the dogs as well. Yummy iced dirty chai tea & mochas

We enjoyed a great cappuccino here with real chocolate flakes on top. One of the best coffees we’ve had since travelling in Scotland. Friendly staff member and clean and welcoming surrounds. Cakes were tasty as well .

Great vegan coffee and cake selection and friendly staff. I have unfortunately stopped going as while I'm happy for places to be dog-friendly there were two very loud barking dogs when I last went which made it very stressful, and I'd already ordered by then so was stuck. Would have appreciated if the owners had been told to keep the dogs calm as it was impossible to talk or relax.

Auf der Suche nach einem guten Cappuccino bin ich bei Sarah im Grain and Grind gelandet. Top Empfehlung, der Jammy Dodger Blondie war unglaublich gut, die Salzkristalle explodieren förmlich auf der Zunge. Hell gerösteter Espresso, Double-Shot ist der Standard, geschmacklich super schokoladig und ausgewogen. Es war großartig!

I love this place, so laid back with a fantastic mix of people coming in and out. Just cosy and homely with great tea and coffee and amazing cakes and savouries. I will keep supporting this business when I come into town.

Light and spacious cafe with big open windows to watch the world go by. The coffee is exceptional and food incredibly tasty. Had a vegan falafel sandwich, packed with 'cheese', fried onions and beetroot humous. Biscoff cheesecake also heavenly! Much recommend.

The coffee beans are selected and roasted by the owner and can be bought (as beans or ground). Also, delicious scones, cakes, etc., in this small laid-back but efficient café, owned and run by enthusiastic and professional staff. We found it near our hotel on a 2 night stay and went back on our second morning for more delicious coffee...and a scone/croissant breakfast!

Lovely and inviting environment with delicious vegan food available, and great hot drinks. Pleasant space to sit & read for a while during some downtime, and the staff were immensely friendly.

Thought I was going to have to get a Costa from a machine, but luckily stumbled on this place, one of the best coffees I've had in a while, and served with a smile too, which I'll definitely go back again for. All went towards sorting out my hangover.

I’ve been coming to Grain and a Grind since it opened and I’ve not been disappointed once! Great service! Great atmosphere! Amazing coffee! Oh and if you get in early you might be able to try one of there incredible breakfast bagels! Need to be quick as they sell out fast! All in all, fantastic wee coffee shop. Buscando una buena cafetería en Google dimos con esta. Como tenía tan buena valoración, decidimos echar un café allí con algún dulce para matar el antojo. El problema es que cuando fuimos era casi la hora de cierre y apenas les quedaba nada con lo que acompañar los cafés. Esto es indicativo del buen hacer del local al ser tan frecuentado. Finalmente, algo de suerte tuvimos y pudimos probar un brownie peculiar, puesto que, además del toque dulce con el chocolate que llevaba, tenía escamas de sal que le daban un sabor diferente. Los capuchinos también estaban muy buenos. No le puedo poner cinco estrellas porque no pude probar más cosas, pero se me queda pendiente volver y probar lo demás, puesto que la cafetería está muy bien. Lo dicho, visítala por la mañana si quieres tener la oportunidad de elegir algún que otro pecado el cual llevarte a la boca.

We stopped in for morning breakfast while traveling around Scotland. Between the calming music, shop full of smiling, waking-up patrons, and Sara the Barista's warm welcome, it started my day off zen and perfect. Delicious brews, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries. And doggie treats!

Stopped in whilst on holiday in Inverness. Amazing coffee and food (we had vegan haggis rolls and a biscoff brownie) with friendly staff who really know their stuff when it comes to coffee.

Fantastic wee coffee shop with some of the best staff in the business. Always so friendly and helpful guaranteed and they all make a great cup of coffee. Their cakes and bakes are exquisite also and they also prevent food waste through participating with the Too Good to Go app. Highly recommended on every level.

I often stay in Inverness for work, I love the city but have always lamented the lack of decent coffee...until now. I was in Thursday and Friday morning this past week and each time the coffee and the banter has been great. The flat whites are spot on, really smooth, hints of dark chocolate and a good caffeine hit. I had my flask filled with a double espresso and some hot water too and it was delightful. It's great to chat to a local, find out about them and the city. I can't wait to get back up and have some more coffee there soon.
