Pizza is tasty, but ours was super small - also in contrast to the others. We weren't fed up and paid 50 pounds for it. The service was very slow, we also waited over an hour for the pizza, even though it wasn't that busy.

The best neapolitan pizza I’ve eaten outside Italy, it was so good, if you told me the owner was Italian, I wouldn’t doubt it for a second!

Arrived without a reservation. We waited 20 minutes and then we had a seat. Scottish pizzeria, slightly different from the Italian ones, but delicious. Busy restaurant! Booking in advance recommended!

We were somewhat disappointed by the pizza after reading the reviews. We're used to Neapolitan style wood-fired pizza so were looking forward to it, but when we got two of the Dhà (tomato, garlic and oregano, then we added on cheese and other ingredients), the flavour just fell into the "Okay" category. The dough wasn't great in flavour (normally you can enjoy the crusts too, but these tasted cardboardy), and the toppings were fine but not "Wow". It was nice how you could add on extras to any of the pizzas inexpensively though. We didn't try the mac and cheese but it also looked like a nice option. Overall definitely recommend giving this place a go yourself, and to check out the adjacent cinema and candle shop when you're in Portree. It's great how the business is supporting the local Skye economy and it might be that we were in the minority as it seemed like there were many happy customers in the restaurant and on the reviews. It just wasn't for us.

My sister and I dined here for dinner in September and it was excellent. Must go if you are in this area. Beyond this I want to thank an exceptionally kind staff member. I forget his name but he had short dreads or braids and was about 5’10, 20’s and I think a busser. My sister and I were in a huge pickle with a flat tire the next day and were DESPERATE to get change for the air pump down the street. I offered to buy something on my credit card (pastry) in exchange for $1 change and no pastry and the manager declined (short sightedly), and this kind man went out of his way and brought us change from his own wallet. I can’t tell you what that meant to us and how stressed we were. It genuinely felt like such an act of kindness. I am forever appreciative.

Pizza was good and servers were kind and professional. I have to deduct one star for the ambiente. It felt cold and empty. How can you not have one single candle in a restaurant belonging to the Isle of Skye CANDLE COMPANY?

Great pizza, great service, nice atmosphere, great view. Staff let us pre-order so meal arrived after we watched the film next door in LAS. PS I was the one who asked for “Thistly Rock” cider. Oh how we laughed!

Delicious vegan pizza, perfect base and the right amount of vegan cheese. Very friendly staff. Table slice, that's always dirty. I think it was because of the paint. There are no decorations, it feels empty and cold, but there is a beautiful view.

The food was good. The waitress seemingly forgot about our order, we waited for 30 minutes, and then got the order only after we asked for it again.

Had a fresh pizza from the pizza oven, remember it fresh so if you are coming from the main land, price is a little more but a good pizza, worth a visit.

The restaurant has a beautiful room with a view of nature if you are in the right direction. The raw ham pizza was good but relatively expensive (£18 or more than €20). However, the card prices already include the service fees. I really liked the little slate with our name on the table (for reservations) it’s a nice idea/touch. A few hiccups in the service on the other hand (bad beer, glass of water that never arrived, etc.)

Great coffee and bagels from a business that really contributes to the local economy and community. Parking is free, and there are good comfort facilities.

Probably the closest you can get to an Italian pizza on the island. The pizza was alright but obviously far away from a good Italian one - I personally did not like the dough. The staff was friendly but not very professional - forgot to bring us cutlery and napkins after serving us the food. The location is very nice and modern - great view from the window tables.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch after completing the Trotternish loop. The pizzas were fresh and really tasty! The topping options range from classics, to more local offerings like venison salami and black pudding. Service was friendly and prices were fair for the portions and quality of the food. The atmosphere is open and airy with lots of natural light and great views!

Fantastic pizza - really top tier base and sauce. Soup and salad also excellent. Service was fast and efficient and the vibe is great - a must visit in Portree.

Lovely little eatery on Skye. We stopped for lunch and food was top notch, well presented, and the dining area was warm and visually relaxing. Menu was creative and appetizing but wasn't pretentious or attempting to be over-impressive.

Don't go if anyone in your party has allergies. Went today to celebrate a birthday and was told there isn't a single item on the menu that would be safe for me to eat with a nut allergy. Do not even serve a tray of chips so had to sit and watch everyone else eat. Crazy how there isn't a single safe nut free option in 2025, the first restaurant I've encountered that offers nothing.

The pizza was wonderful, environment is clean and cozy, coffee was great (we went back the next 2 days), and staff was friendly. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area. There’s also a candle/gift shop and cinema attached.

Was needing a break from Scottish food, so we got the pizza and it was amazing, so we got the lasagna bolognese and it was amazing, then we got the sticky toffee pudding, and it was the best we had so far. The breakfast options were ok… needed hot sauce.

Excellent fresh pizza, tasty toppings and crust. We enjoyed the venison salami and black pudding. We asked for some Parmesan, and they brought us a small bowl of actual shavings of cheese. Very pleasant surprise. Staff were friendly but we had a little wait to be seated and our orders taken. We enjoyed beautiful views from the spacious and modern dining room. The scents from the diffusers and nearby candle store was a bit too strong, though. Overall great spot to stop by, away from the busyness of Portree town center.

Really delicious pizza with a nice view if you can sit at the window. Vegan cheese available! Only downside was that the floor was so dirty - next to our table lay several napkins and leftovers, and the service did not take care of it. Otherwise I would have given five stars.

What a fabulous place just outside Portree! It’s big enough for group gatherings and enough space for weary travellers. Their pizza chef knows his craft!

The restaurant is in a beautiful area. The windows are huge and the view is absolutely beautiful. It is a big open plan place and as such it is quite airy and bright. The food is okay, they do sandwiches, pizzas and cakes mostly. The service is usually great as well and most of the staff is friendly, however, last time I was there a grumpy older waitress told me that my little dog can't sit on my lap. She said "the dog has to be on the ground". I found this outrageous for 3 reasons: - by this point we were in the restaurant for about an hour and no one complained about my dog on my lap - the dog was NOT on their furniture but on my lap. It is entirely up to me if I want to have my dog on me or not - she was quiet and polite the whole time ( she did not bother other guests and didn't try to eat from my plate) She is a 4 kg tiny poodle, and she is not used to sleeping on the cold ground, nor would I want her to do so. Therefore I quickly left and will probably not go back even though I loved this place on our previous holidays.

I walked in with no reservation at 6pm on a Sunday evening. The place was more than half empty. They turned me away, could not accommodate a single guest. Great business model 👍🏼

The pizzeria is located in the visitor center. We had pizza and lasagna. Both tasted very good. The service was also great. We also had a table with a water view. All around a very good location. Above all, the restaurant is open 7 days a week. Particularly handy on a Sunday when many restaurants on Skye are closed.

Stopped here while at the visitors center. Staff is quick and friendly. Food is delicious. They have a small menu but it is enough. Reasonably priced. The BLTC was delicious and fresh and the Salmon bagel my wife got was big chunks of salmon, not the normal thin slices she was expecting. She said it was delicious.

Had lunch here for the second time and the pizza with Cajun chicken and the garlic bread are extremely tasty, served piping hot, fresh and the dough is perfect. The only negative is that service has been slow both times visited (over 20 mins for pizza arrival to table) but it seems that takeaway orders are being fulfilled. It wouldn't put me off going again as the pizzas are that good - generously sized and topped and just as tasty when eaten cold later on! Worth a visit and we may go back again before our holiday is finished.

During our stay in Portree, we were searching for nearby restaurants and this one popped up. The pizzas looked nice on the pictures so we decided to give it a try. We were amazed at the ambience of the restaurant, it is within the premises of the Isle of Skye Candle Company. Very vibrant restaurant with some amazing views, it is like a fine dine. The menu is not too elaborate... basically there is pizza, garlic bread, couple of salads and a couple of desserts. We ordered the coig pizza (#5) and the garlic bread. There was just 1 vegan pizza option and 2 vegetarian pizza options. The pizza was thin crust and very crispy... i liked the fact that the pizza base did not get soggy with the toppings. I wish they had glutten free base as an option. Pro-tip - Ask them for some chilli oil and pour some on your pizza and garlic bread, will really enhance the flavors of the pizza.

We asked for3 separate tables for 3 families, as there were a lot of free tables, some of them booked 3 hours later. But the receptionist said we could only buy pizza to go. At the end the families had to sit oitside with the kids, having the restaurant almost empty.

Horrible service. I think they didn't want to work. We arrived and asked if we could eat 15 even at separate tables and they told us no. We ordered takeout and were told we would have to wait a long time. And while we ordered there were a lot of empty tables, some were left empty and others had a reservation sign for 7:00 p.m. (and it was 3:00 p.m.!).

Perfect place for a lunch stop on a rainy day. There was a waitlist but we were sat within 20 mins and shopped while we waited. The pizza was fantastic and we’re from Brooklyn so we know good pizza! Get the Ceithir pizza.

Gasta has the best pizzas! We had a delicious meal at Gasta during our holiday on Skye. The food was delicious (we’d really recommend the venison salami and hot honey pizza), and the service was excellent. The view from the restaurant was also fantastic! We’ll visit again when next in Skye!

Totally worth the five min drive from Portree for lunch or dinner. Pizza’s and Bagels are amazing. Great example of a restaurant that has a small menu of things but does all of them really well…

Stopped in here today for the first time. Had a great coffee and as it was 11.30 we had brunch. Absolutely loved the bagels we had. The service was fast and friendly. We are going back tomorrow for lunch. We also ventured into the candle shop and it was absolutely beautiful. Brought a candle to take back with me to Australia. This is a really lovely gift shop and restaurant, be sure to visit when visiting Skye.
