Gourmet House in Glasgow City

last month I ordered a takeaway which we had pre-arranged for 18 people all choosing different meals. It was excellent great value for money lovely food piping hot.

Food excellent and staff are lovely. Used this takeaway for about 20yrs was 30yrs sorry to see yous go Best Chinese Ever & Amazing Friendly Staff.👏

Disappointed, gravy was tasteless and not like other Chinese takeaways I’ve had, fried rice and chicken where mediocre at best

sald and chill chips soggy and cold. curry was tasteless. not very hot. won't be ordering again. food in the bin.

Excellent service and the best Chinese

2 hours later and still haven’t received our order even though on just eat it says delivered. It hasn’t been delivered 2 hours later

Chicken curry with onions over cooked soft tasteless fried rice overcooked mushy soup watery tasteless worst takeaway I have ever had never had a takeaway tasted so bad

Delivery and food was top notch as usual.

the rice was burnt and like a dogs dinner also the curry was cold and disgusting put my order in at 6.29pm and didn't come till 7.57pm not good won't order from there again..

Ordered a bottle of irnbru at £4 and was given a can and told they would refund the difference but I’m still waiting for that to be refunded, it was the most expensive can of juice I’ve had.

The prawns were delicious but the chicken balls were overcooked, half of them were inedible.

Food was cold. Curry sauce very gloopy..Chicken balls were reheats. Everything tasted very bland. I would not order from here again..Sorry

plus rice was over cooked and curry was frozen will never eat out here again and rice was burned too

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had in my life very disappointed in this as it looked good horrible honestly expensive

Food was lovely. Salt and chilli chips with cheese and curry sauce was so spicy though. Couldn’t even finish it 🙈.

Chicken noodle soup taste of oil …. Chips were reheated and disgusting… rice was re cooked sticky and tasteless spend 26 pound and most off went in bin eat chicken out curry and some noddles .!! Never again will a order

Loving food large portions & sweet & sour sauce was delicious I would recommend this Chinese

Order came on time, however the quality was not up to the usual standard. The beef dish just looked the chicken one and was very gloomy. The rice was so greasy, a lot of oil was all over the carton leaking outfall over the other cartons. The duck was very fatty, no crispy skin and the sauce didn't have have much orange taste. Overall very disappointed. I have visited many times over the years, this time has left me that I wouldn't order again

Fantastic take away, the food is always great and the people are so friendly and kind and always smiling.

Lovely curry and amazing prawn toast defo be back

I love the steak from here and always order but for some reason this place has cancelled my order the last few times , would be good to know why?🥲

On Saturday 19 november i bought a chicken curry with extra mushroom and boils rice and portion of salt and pepper spare ribs with lemon once i was back in the house i discovered a hair in my portion off ribs . i won,t be buying Nothing from here a again .

Amazing food. Can sometimes take a while to deliver though.

The salt and chilli chicken in batter had no chicken in and was all batter. When i phoned to complain the women said thats how much chicken you get and i replied none but she didnt offer me a refund so i told her i would not be a customer again.

Ordered differently to my usual... was very enjoyable... will order the sane again

Ordered chicken and green pepper black bean sauce and it was mainly RED pepper and the chips were reheats very disappointed. Standards have slipped badly

Spring Rolls delicious ...the test no salt and taste

Ready too early, chips were basic and the meat in the “chicken” looked like old dog chews or pork scratchings. Grey and chewy. Tasted ok but looks like had been fried multiple times.

Cold when it arrived and it was really slow. Called the restaurant and they said it was a busy night. Ruined our food though.

Food was delicious as always, but never received the spring rolls that I should get after spending over £17.

Was extremely disappointed tonight I ordered 2 snack meals 1 was ok apart from the watery curry sauce n the other would’ve bn ok if ad a got the salt n pepper ribs n gravy that was supposed to be part of meal, but instead I got dry ribs n curry sauce, I called restaurant about the curry sauce as I can’t have it due to medical reasons and they apologise and say they will send gravy out, gravy came 25 mins later but now my meal is cold so it would need to be microwaved n let’s face it rice n ribs in micro doesnt work so basically am left hungry n out of pocket tonight oh n by the way am a regular customer and usually food is top notch but I think it’s maybe new chef because as a said curry sauce was like water

Food took 2 and a half hours to arrive, Saturday or not this is unacceptable. If it’s busy hire more drivers. Then driver refused to bring food to flat and made me go downstairs because he didn’t want to park. Will never use again. Chips were awful too.

The order was meant to take at least an hour, now 20 mins after the latest promise time I still have no food and the restaurant are no help

Once again you have got my ordre wrong, no Salt & Chilli Chicken no Batter, you sent different food again!

I had steak with onions, mushrooms and gravy. Also chipps and onion rings. Batter on onion rings could have been much thinner. Everything else top class. A+ I keep coming back because the fiid's great, portions generous and excellent value. A+ and 5 stars ***** M.Ferry.

The food is delicious, portions, even in the 1 carton meals, are generous. Delivery operatives always friendly. For fresh food and great value they can't be beat. Have no hesitation in recommending them to you. 5 stars

I've been ordering food for the last 10 years and never complained. We were missing a chicken chow main and when we called up to say it was missing. I was told it wasn't. They then proceeded to argue with me for 5 mins about how the chef remembered cooking the food, which i don't dispute, however i didnt get it. Having never complained about the service before I'm horrified by this experience. You've just lost a loyal customer

Food is very good but most of my orders have wrong food that was not ordered

All in we waited just under 2 hrs for the food and then the sauce from the ribs had spilled all over the box. Not impressed

Food arrived cold again even after leaving in the notes to please deliver itwarm this time...didn't leave a bad review last time but that's just joke taking it should be a general given that yer food arrives warm...won't be back

BEST CHINESE IN GLASGOW! Ordered a set meal for 1 (chicken curry, chicken noodle soup and fried rice which was amazing), 1 x salt and chilli chicken in batter (too die for and such a generous portion size), chicken chow mein small and large sizes (you would have thought the small was a large it was massive), salt and chilli chips with cheese and curry sauce which was phenomenal! Also got free vegetable spring rolls and there was sooo many of them! Loved every single bit of this order and the delivery driver was super friendly and the food was delivered 30 mins early on a Saturday night! Will be making this my local! X

Food was fine, but my order was wrong.

I love the food at this restaurant, although I was a little disappointed that my chicken with "sauce separate" was covered in sauce and a little too sweet to eat, so I couldn't enjoy the full meal.

Such lovely helpful staff here who were able to help with the vegetarian options and how to order in store with no cash or bank card- advised me to use just eat and select collection so no delivery charge! Very nice curry and will absolutely be returning 🤩 2 happy new customers!

This is becoming a regular takeaway... the service is fast and food is always of a good standard. We need our takeaways to keep going... as we can't go out ...it's a nice treat not having to cook.

Ordered from here many times and always enjoyed hot tasty meals. But tonight's order was a fiasco. Ordered at 7.15pm. By 8.45 still no food. Phoned and was told it was ready and they were waiting on the driver returning. 9.15 and the driver arrived. So my food has been sitting all that time. I could've cooked myself a roast dinner quicker! Will NEVER order from here again. Totally ridiculous. If they'd explained at the beginning it would be TWO HOURS I would never have made the order in the first place. Poor customer service all round.

Delivery time quick, food utterly amazing! The chicken curry and mushroom was fantastic, good thick curry sauce, chunks of breast of chicken, and the mushrooms were juicy, plus the fried rice was a real delight! Highly recommended and will be ordering from here again, 10 out of ten!

This is by far a local takeaway for me but ive been living in the area recently and fancied a chinese so chose this place out of a huge selection and hoped for the best. I got a chicken curry fried rice and chips and i can tell you - it did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. Arrived a bit earlier than expected too which was a bonus. Still warm. Good portion sizes and very reasonable price would definitely recommend and will use again in the future when I'm in the area x

Had put a collection instead of delivery , called nobody answered , and spoke to them they said they flung it in the bin which I find hard to believe , would not recommend !
