Gourmet Burger Kitchen - Belsize Park in Camden

I rarely leave a 1 star review but the service was appalling. We had booked a table for 4 people and we waited at the restaurant entrance for several minutes and nobody greeted us, attempted to seat us or made eye contact. A group in front of us were also waiting, they gave up waiting (but had not booked) and sat down at a dirty table because nobody had seated them. By the time we got someone’s attention, they realised they had not actually managed the seating that evening and there were now no tables available to seat a group of 4 people. this was despite the fact we’d actually made a booking. After waiting for 15 minutes after arrival we gave up and went elsewhere

Food here was amazing! Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely come back again

This place has been driven into the ground! The menu is half of what it used to be but also it was the saddest burger I've ever seen. Absolutely nothing gourmet about it! A thin strip of chicken, a stale bun, no nice fillings without paying extra. I was still hungry afterwards and Im a girl so that really explains how small it was. No wonder we were the only people there on a Saturday evening. Check out the photo, I have small hands, it was tiny!

Vegan burgers are very good but no more vegan milkshakes :( Staff is super nice!

Came here with my dad to eat a quick meal. We had ordered on the app (2 korean bbq chicken burgers and 2 truffle fries) and the food was incredible, service was also great and even though the restaurant wasn't busy, Manuel and Josh made us feel very welcome. Had to say thanks to the two guys in the kitchen, big shoutout to Michael and Yaro who made our food. We will be back again

Last time I went me and my brother had kids portion as we don't have much of a big appetite, the black lady who served us was so rude and said why did you order kids portion. Sorry but nowhere else they have issue and we did pay for the meal so what's the problem!! Won't be going here again.

Unfortunately the quality of the burgers has significantly dropped over the last few years. Additionally prices are drastically increasing. The food here is now overpriced

Friend & I visited this afternoon. Not the greatest of services. Consider the GBK was not busy, service and food was rather slow ….. I am “not” sure where the name “Gourmet” comes into play; it should be called “burger kitchen” Will not be visiting again!!!

Cold food and thrown together burger with a measly portion of chips… for almost 40 quid

Went here on a Monday afternoon and had a great experience dining in. Special thanks to Josh who helped me and my family have a wonderful time. Superb service, very well spoken, bubbly and helpful with the menu. Had a great time talking to him. The food was great, I specifically enjoyed the rocket man. I will definitely come back again another time.

I used to come here all the time but on my last visit I might not go again. I came and we sat down and there was a big girl guide group waiting who came after us so we asked to order but they said we had to wait for the group to order first so we waited. After 15 more minutes we finally ordered and they were very apologetic for the wait. An hour or so later we finally got our food and again they were apologetic but they were understaffed and under experienced but at least they gave us a discount. (Also the burgers were nice)

Embarrassing Korean burger the chicken is not Korean fried is just panko the portion is tiny and not well put together, the audacity to call itself gourmet is unparalleled.

Honestly average at best. Pretty sure smaller portions than other GBK places. Service was mid at best. Did spot Matt Lucas which was nice.

Having entered the restaurant literally an hour ago. We weren’t greeted with any kind of customer care like “hello, welcome.” Just “we are only doing well done burgers tonight due to water issues”. The girls attitude was absolutely attacious Didn’t care less. Chucked 3 menus on our table and off she popped. We sat thinking not spending a penny in here let’s go. So rude

food was very good, was cooked to perfection. 5/5 for the food perfect medium rare was served to me and my family. However our waiter who had glasses and braids, seemed to have an attitude and as if she did not want to serve us, which as a result, took our 5 rating down to a four.

Two milkshakes were completely empty

In the Google was saying that this place closes 10pm, me, my wife and my children left our house to eat and we arrived at 9:10pm and the staff told us that the kitchen was closed. I asked to speak to the manager and they told me that the manager was at home and we couldn’t eat there. I never leave feedbacks but tonight I felt that this place did not deserve any customer so I decided to leave this one.

I really loved the salad with the burger.

The food was delicious the service was amazing and it was chill place.

Took 90 minutes to arrive, was mostly cold and the order was wrong. Just Eat have at least said they will refund (oddly, less the £1.99 service fee), though that hasn’t materialised yet.

We were disappointed in the size of the patties, which seem to have shrunk considerably.

Delicious food as always, side house mayo was missing but the rest of the meal was so good.

The milkshake arrived totally spilled in the bag and so was undrinkable. Can you please refund or credit the milkshake

The quality is back on track after slipping for a while. Really well cooked medium rare burgers again!

Delish and a speedy delivery 😋

I paid £3 for extra jalapeños and pickle and got two tiny slices of each on my burger, the onion rings were badly burnt and black in places, the chips were stone cold and the slaw was watery and tasteless. GBK is expensive and usually it’s worth it but for half of my order it definitely wasn’t.

The food as usual was good and tasty. The manager was running around doing everything while I felt his team was not pulling their weight, with the exception of the kitchen team. Please could you make sure there is some white sugar for teas as brown is not right. And some sweeteners possibly?

It’s starting to be more of a norm in London that meals are getting smaller and smaller. How can I order a burger plus 3 chicken tenders for £17 and feel only half full? Not worth the money. If anyone knows of a restaurant that serves regular size meals please get in touch

Lunched at the Belsize Park location on Tues, 21 Nov; On Dec 1 spotted I'd been double charged so I phoned, then emailed as requested; the ASM Wayne then said I needed to return to the store for them to be able to process a refund. I responded not being local, this would take me two hours - so I requested they make good without this inconvenience. (Bear in mind, their error and it took me to alert them of the double charge!) I then contacted them after three days of not hearing back. Had a highly upsetting exchange with Wayne, who was rude, with constant interruptions, termed me and my email aggressive (I had pointed out my right to involve my bank if a refund could not be processed without my attendance) and despite stating the refund request had been forwarded to an accounts department, would not furnish me with contact details - nor any details of the supposed refund request. Yes a highly upsetting experience I will not be in a hurry to have again!

Hi dear GBK, there is a lack of customer service in your cafe. The waitress was rude and unprofessional. Will never again come back.

Great service and good food. Alexandra at the West Hampstead branch was amazing. We had issues using the GBK App to order (using a pre-applied app offer), but Alexander went above and beyond to resolve the issue. We can't thank her enough. They have a lot of take away orders (deliverloo/uber eats etc.) so it can be annoying when a load of drivers keep walking through the restaurant to collect orders, but Alexander and staff try their best to keep them at the entrance. Food was great, and the restaurant was kept clean. Keep up the good work. We will be back.

Food was FREEZING cold, missing most of the order, disgraceful service, called to make things right and I was hung up on, told they can't send another driver and then repeatedly ignored. I was polite but frustrated as I paid a lot for the meal and didn't receive what I ordered and the quality of food I got was in-edible! Do not order from Belsize Park gourmet!!! Save your money and time.

I adore GBK! I highly recommend this place. I never get burgers better than i do here even if its at a high end restaurant. However, I am so upset they got rid of the chocolate chips in the chocolate milkshake and the very skinny fries! I hope they bring them back. Don't let that stop you from coming though!

Came here last week and tried the new jerk chicken burger. The burger was delicious and the fries were extremely fresh! Food came out quick and the servers were very attentive. Would definitely come here again.

I placed my order at 19:30, with a delivery time of 20:10 at 21:30 the app said waiting for a courier. I rang the restaurant, they confirmed this. At 22:00 a courier arrived with the food prepared at 19:30. We refused the order. I expect a full refund for this order

Food was great as it always is but my most recent visit was very disappointing. I have waited on tables before and understand what it means to have a bad day but some of the service staff act as though it was a deliberate choice to be standoffish and borderline rude, which I really don't get. I reckon it's a management problem. If staff are unhappy then it's normally poor HR, perceived unfairness etc. Either way it was a really poor customer service experience. I felt as though I had offended someone just by eating in!

They forgot to cook it! Had to put the grill on and do it myself. Bizarre. I have a photo to prove it and I am more than happy to send it to you. Missed the start of my movie cooking it. Pointless getting take-out if that's what arrives.

...very poor quality little cold and another GBK Belsize Park, is better but I don't understand why everyone doesn't maintain the same standards... ...because they send a glass with a lid with an opening, please the container is not suitable for transport, the hard potatoes are all the same, all cold with a terrible quality, all very disappointing. But I don't understand why the Westfield GBK in White City is perfect there if you can eat all the ingredients and presentation have quality and quantity....

Came, waited for ten minutes, left. No possibility to get a menu, no service, not a single clue how this magic place works, nothing. Kitchen is busy with delivery, other staff trying to avoid any physical contact by any cost. Who wants to work at sunday’s evenings ?) Looks like “I’m going to build my own burger place with blackjack and all that stuff .”

The £9 offer is not what it seems. Cheap McDonalds type fries and a childsize burger served on a tiny side plate.

absaloutly ridiculous. i placed the order around 8, food was delivered at 10! and all cold(very) and unedible.

It took them more than 25 minutes to prepare the food, and it was cold when it arrived.

Amazing food and customer service

One person dine in, Thursday lunch 1:30pm, not busy. Burger and chips - £14.55. The cheese burger with onion ring & chipotle sauce (called Taxi Driver) was a 6/10 - decent, not amazing. Requested medium rare, received medium sadly, overcooked a tad. Burger stayed together nicely with toasted buns, although my top bun was larger than my lower, I had mismatched buns. Skinny fries standard, nice, went well with the chipotle sauce which I requested (not charged). Longish wait considering not busy and only one person (20-25 mins). No salt or pepper, had to ask for condiments/sauces. Nice large bottle of filtered cold tap water provided. I noticed a table across from me (6 people), one person had their burger at least 15 mins before anyone else, and they had to politely just sit staring at it go cold until the rest turned up. Friendly waiter. Small restaurant, not much atmosphere. Overall, the burger was mediocre, and not great value in my opinion, I think £14-£15 can go further for a better burger elsewhere. Quite a weak effort on the Halloween decorations.

The food was cold, you could literally brake the chips in half which don’t make sense considering how close it is

Had a special Korean BBQ burger which was really tasty. Very relaxed and warm atmosphere, nice place.
