Smashin burgers…. Great shakes and good value for money… definitely recommended

The manager recommended the smash burger and a milkshake...both were really good and the house fries are top with garlic mayo... definitely gonna return soon

I ordered through ubereats and got the wrong order (most likely the order of a person before me on the driver’s way) just before the closing of the restaurant. Unfortunately uber eats couldnt help me and couldny reach the restaurant either due to closing.. The food is generally good though

The new Patty Melt is soooooo good. Had it without the bacon, tastes better without it. Also, the onion rings were so fresh and crispy.

gbk russell square has gone down hill. menu has changed - burgers are stripped down to basic burgers and everything has an additional cost. gone are the mighty and the rocket man burgers. the new smash burgers were so greasy and had blood leaking from it. the amount of oil that came from it was horrendous. the patties used to be a decent thickness and now it’s a squashed down 1cm of beef. the burger buns weren’t toasted either. there is no love for the food anymore which is so sad. the waiter was overwhelmed from running everything all on their own so we felt uncomfortable complaining. we were loyal to gbk but never again!! cost and staff cuts are obvious. there are plenty of other food spots to choose from that are consistent in quality and value for money! on a plus side, the skinny fries were fab. maybe get that only :)

Super delicious burger restaurant close by our hotel. Ordered food off our phones (there was the option to order at the counter too) which was easy and convenient to use. Food came out quite quickly and was very delicious. Stayed at the restaurant and chatted after our meal with no issues. If you’re craving a burger this is the place to go!

Nice lunch deal if you want to dine in. 7pound burger and fries, however, the waiting time was long (around 30-45mins) for the burger and fries. Not a good idea if you only have an hour lunch break for it. Seem they don’t have enough staffs on that day too.

I went yesterday with my friends,I really disappointed by their behaves.There was a boy wearing white shirt long beards he behaved very unprofessional with me,I asked him about the foods how long it’s gonna take ?? He replied very rudely that kitchen is very busy you hafto wait.At some point he was arguing and told me he doesn’t care about others and then I asked his name so many times ,he replied he’s not interested to tell his name.never go again really such rubbish service .!

We come here every time we go to London. We stay in Holborn anyway but GBK Is the first place we go to for our meal. The pesto chicken burger Is probably the best burger I’ve ever had. The sweet potato chips are amazing and so are the milkshakes. We love this place!

Mid, bad service and understaffed

The burger wasnt medium it was well. A bit burned. The price is too high for what you get. The chicken in the chicken salad was hard and thin.

Found this place looking on Google for a burger and a milkshake. The burger and milkshake were great. The fries were a bit overcooked for a shoestring fry. I would definitely eat here again and try another fry option. The burger was savory and delicious with a perfect medium temperature.

I came to this restaurant for lunch with my friends, and overall it was a pretty good experience. The burger I bought costed £10 and was prepared with very fresh ingredients; the service is also pretty good considering how fast the food came. The atmosphere was really nice and it feels like you’re eating in a cozy, rustic diner nestled in the heart of London. The décor, with its warm hues and vintage accents, added to the welcoming ambiance. The restaurant was pretty empty considering it was half-term where we were expecting more people. Overall, it was a delightful spot to enjoy a meal and catch up with friends.

Have visited Central London branch , Very disappointed, The Man who took orders from everyone was acting (sadly forced) as a Waiter, taking orders, serving, preparing the bills, clearing the tables, for one person to much so everything was delayed. Food was not a wowww factor OK and over priced.Will never visited again disappointed. Burger Chips Coke £21 only one person's bill can you imagine that if you are going to have a just Burger meal as a family of four ?

The person taking my order was friendly, but the takeout food I received was burnt, so I chewed it and it had a burnt and bitter taste. Not really... + Now that I think about it again, they served me burnt food like this and on the outside they seemed kind to me, but when I think about the way they laughed and chatted among themselves behind the scenes, I think it was racism. (I’m Asian young girl.)

RESTAURANT DOES NOT READ SPECIAL REQUESTS: Luckily my order was just taking the salad off as I requested no salad on the burger but my friend only has lettuce and tomato. Restaraunt made it as it comes with onion and sauce. Chips also arrived cold and aren't the best quality. To top it off, one of the cans was Coke Zero when the request was Coke Classic. A mistake I wouldn't mind otherwise, just not when the order wasn't followed. It's a shame as burgers are quite nice so would have enjoyed it.

I like GBK, so when I go into a different one, it’s always on that basis 😆 Anyway, decided to try this one in the Brunswick, since I was staying nearby. The restaurant itself is down a side passage, towards the Waitrose end. Double fronted, but shallow. Towards the small end for a GBK. Seated straight away, not bad for a Saturday lunchtime. Really lovely burger, freshly cooked and juicy. Medium rare as ordered. Onion rings and chips to accompany. I still mourn the loss of the shoestring fries; they were unbelievably good. The current chips are ok, but they’re not special. My baconnaise came as ordered. A plus. The beer was San Miguel. As it was and as it should be. Service was speedy and efficient. Well done. The other customers seemed to all be people who’d never been out to eat before. Mystified by everything. Very strange.

So disappointed the restaurant looked great and had a decent atmosphere, however the food was mediocre. The chicken tenders were so tough we ended up leaving them as I thought my child would choke on them. The only decent thing was the milkshake, will not be returning.

Todo está hecho allí, nada es ultra procesado. El precio se sobrepasa un poco pero súper recomendado. Lo malo esq solo tienen una camarera entonces a veces tarda un poco a llegar la comida. También pille al cocinero usando el móvil mientras cocinaba unas patatas fritas, se que no es la gran cosa pero no es de tener mucha higiene.

Mixed review I'm afraid. Vegan Beyond Burger, chunky chips, vegan vanilla milkshake, were great. My son's burger was not, and rates the almighty a 2 because overcooked on the outside, fork marks in the middle to show it was opened for a quick cook.

Some of THE best burgers around! Service was a tad slow and expensive for a fast food joint, but otherwise the burgers are so worth it.

The service was good, very welcoming crew. The food wasn't served in the best approach possible with some people getting half their orders and needing to chase the other half. The organised a place for our group to sit even though it didn't initially look like it would be possible. Ordering meals went quickly which good and there wasn't a very long wait to get the food. The food itself was okay, nothing spectacular.

I was craving sweet potato fries and GBK is one of the few places that do it. Tuesday evening busy, but there were still tables available. Nice atmosphere. I was surprised at how friendly and nice the staff were. Efficient. Despite there just being two of them at the front, very good. As you can guess, burgers are the star of the show. Good choice for those who follow a vegan diet too. I am watching my pennies so went with the cheap option of the classic vegan burger which consisted of a handmade pan-fried bean patty, vegan mayo, relish and salad. I had sweet potato fries with it. I didn't have a drink. They charge for house sauces (big selection) so I opted for the free ketchup! I can't complain, freshly made and well presented. Delicious and satisfying. I happily polished off everything as did fellow diners near me! So good. I made a right mess eating it. I was on my own so it was fine. The patty was nice and very filling. The burger didn't feel greasy. Restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Located in The Brunswick Centre. It wasn't too pricey as I only had the burger and fries but it can add up if you have drinks and other sides. My small negative was cleanliness. Staff were cleaning and making an effort to wipe tables after guests left but it would be nice if they actually wiped properly and sweep the floors too. The floors were dirty as were some of the seats. Would recommend otherwise. Solo friendly.

How a burger should be; simple, and freshly cooked from quality ingredients. The waiter deserves medal for serving all the tables by himself. The menu is very limited - it really needs more items on the starters menu.

This was a small but well run branch of GBK at Brunswick Place opposite Russell Square tube.

Had an amazing time at GBK in the Brunswick Centre, on Friday night. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the service was great! The food was delicious! I ordered the Korean BBQ chicken burger with sweet potato fries and it was so flavourful and the chicken thigh inside was huge! 👍🏻

Service was very good and fast, food was really tasty, the lady behind the counter was really gentle and patient with a vulnerable customer. We just needed a nice big burger for a Saturday treat and got exactly what we wanted :)

Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a so called gourmet burger restaurant. I frankly think we would have had a better experience in a McDonalds or Burger King and pay a fraction of the price!! I went there with a friend at about 7pm on a Sunday evening and there was only 3 other tables with dinners. It took well over 20 minutes for our simple order of 2 classic burgers and fries to arrive. It took so long as it seemed the kitchen staff were prioritising takeaway and delivery orders!!! All I can say is if that’s your business model, why are you still operating as a restaurant? This lack of respect to dinners was also represented in the cleanliness of the toilets. The unisex toilet was in a disgusting state and it was clear it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. Also there was no logging of cleaning displayed as you expect by law! I certainly will never recommend this restaurant to anyone and will never go back!!

Nourriture (menu à 9 £) : Burger un peu petit mais excellent en bouche, dommage pour le pain qui était un peu brûlé sur les côtés ; Frites avec l'épice bon sans trop d'huile Reproche : revoir l'hygiène Mes doigts touchent de la colle un peu partout : sur les bouteilles de coca, sur les couteaux et sur les bords de table. C'était une bonne expérience.
