Just popped in for a lunchtime meal , Limited menu had beef lasagne with a side salad and garlic bread. £10.50. The lasagne had been reheated it was dry and very crisp and hard in places and not hot , basically I left most of it and told them it wasn't very nice at all. Just before I left a member of staff approached me and gave me £5 back and said she was sorry it wasn't good. So if it's not good don't serve it to customers.... Not Happy!.

Had a really lovely afternoon tea on Friday. The cakes, scones & sausage rolls all made on site.I was in the baking trade for over 40 years so know good produce when I taste it.The scones where light and fluffy, the cakes beautifully moist & tasty and as for the sausage rolls absolute game changer also the ladies who served us were attentive and very friendly. This is in my opinion the best afternoon tea in Suffolk.Well done ladies but as I told you you could easily charge a few pounds more and it would still be excellent value

I had had a busy morning and really fancied a piece of home made quiche. I remembered seeing quiche on the counter during a previous visit. They had a nice selection. I opted for cheese and onion. It tasted amazing. I had a lovely lady called Leoni serve me. I was told the quiche was made by Sarah. It was the best I have had in a long time. Served with salad and new potatoes. Thank you. I shall come again soon. 😊

This was my first visit to the farm cafe and heard a lot of good things about it, so with my mum and wife we gave it ago for lunch. Weather wasn’t great and not many people in the cafe it looked like a winner. Will after ordering soup , tea cake a toasted sandwich we had to wait well over 45 minutes to be served. Not good and mum asked after 25 minutes then again 40 minutes to be told it’s coming. It could of been a bad day but I will not be going back.

Went strawberry picking with the family. We had a lovely time in fields and thought the price was good value for money. We however stopped at the cafe for lunch and unfortunately that's where the nice time ended. Long wait in the queue to even order food (this was not helped at all by the fact it was one girl serving who was hand writing all the cheques and then manually entering the prices of things off the menu into a cash register). Lots of staff but very slow moving. Food was average for price you pay. This however wasn't my main concern. As a place which sells food and drink your facilities are very below standard. I have a 9 month old baby whom I needed to change. I enquired with the lady in the farm shop as to where the baby change was. She escorted me outside and pointed to essentially what was a shed with a window and no door on the front of it. There was a changing mat balanced on a sort of makeshift table. There were spiders on the ceiling and all sorts of random things lying around. No nappy bin, no where to clean your hands either. I cannot comment on the main toilets as I did not see them but if this is the only baby changing facility you have, it majorly lets the place down!

Saw this in last weekend's national newspaper and thought we must go, why haven't we been before? We did but unfortunately not what we were hoping for. We fear that it needs a lot of money spent on it, we walked over pathways that were uneven with weeds aplenty, everywhere needs a coat of paint and a good deal of work to get it to a decent standard. Why would a national newspaper promote this and not Nottcutts at Woodbridge which is clean, neat and wholesome. Admittedly it has the restaurant, shop and nursery and not the other facilities but it does make you wonder why they would promote Goslings when it is so rundown. We decided on lattes and cake. The staff were lovely, a credit to this company but the table we sat at was dirty, sticky and had not been sanitised. We visited the toilets which were not just filthy, but rundown and in need of an update together with a full bottle of bleach and elbow grease.Hopefully the owners will work on updates, because the staff deserve it!

Went for brunch today, meal was served cold and within minutes of us ordering so was obviously prepared in advance and not cooked to order. The bacon was rubbery, sausages were small, and eggs were overcooked - had obviously been sitting around on a warmer. Toast was cold, butter was hard, and tea for two was one teabag in a metal teapot that dribbled everywhere. Ordered meal without tomatoes, yet given tomatoes, so didn't listen when we gave the order. Disappointing, this isn't a difficult meal to get right....

Visit on 23/10/2020,waited 50 minutes for order. When it eventually arrived,it was poor quality,,served on plastic plates and plastic cutlery.Drinks had arrived 45 minutes previous, paper cup for not drink, cold drink in can.Cardboard menu, this was passed onto other customers.Freezing cold tunnel,it rained heavily and this poured in the edges.Older couple sitting opposite had a hot meal and it was so difficult for them to manage with the plastic cutlery.Don't you have a dish washer ?.Why plastic ?.In the past I have visited here on several occasions and it was nice, however it is going down rapidly. You have to up your game and listen to your customer or you won't have a business.I did email your company immediately after my visit and two days later but you did not respond.I also voiced my views to the waitress but she was so rushed off her feet she did not respond either.

Went for last day of ‘Eat out to help out’ today but got there and after being shown to table noticed a very faint message that was half rubbed out on blackboard to say they were not running the scheme today. At that point it seemed rude to walk out. Menus were not disposable, a very dog eared card one on the table. No hand sanitiser. No staff wearing masks. I know they don’t have to but we have supported a lot of independent restaurants over the past month and at most other places they were. Ordered coffee, pot of tea, fruit scone and cheese scone. Order took a long time to come. No pots of tea as all disposable crockery at the moment which is fairly understandable, but it came with tea bag and milk all in together which makes for a really bad cup of tea. No cheese scones left, although 30 mins later we saw one being served to someone else. Perhaps they found some in the freezer. Fruit scone was very dry and crumbly as though it had been in the freezer too long. Lots of flies up at counter when staff were cutting cakes. Not impressed.

We visited the cafe at Goslings farm today for lunch for the first time. I called the cafe early this morning to book a table as I anticipated it could be busy . When we arrived we waited around 10 mins to be seated to our booked table which then had to be wiped clean of food. We then were seated and told our food order wouod be taken as soon as the waitress could. As we had a 6 month old baby with us I thought best to check the wait time on food . After asking the waitress she said "I don't know but its long". It really didn't seem like anyone knew what was going on and it felt very unorganised. We decided to leave after that and try somewhere else . We were very disappointed at how rude the waitress was, and felt we should have been told when we qued up that the wait for food was a long one.Maybe we will try again next year

Phoned ahead to ask about the Farm Trail only to be told it was nothing to do with them and could not give me any information. Visited anyway . The farm shop itself had hardly any stock and was uninviting . It was a hot day and we needed a cold drink. I bought drinks from what was meant to be a fridge. The drink cans were warm and when this was pointed out to the lad at the till he stated the fridge didn’t work when I said it wasn’t very satisfactory he rudely replied “where else are we meant to put them, it’s a sort of cabinet “ ! The children’s play area in front of the Cafe does not have adequate or safe surface for a play area and the top of the slide was dangerous as The wood tower at the top of the steps had a big gap where a piece was missing and a large nail sticking out . Won’t be recommending this place .

Called in for a hot drink and a sit down, Two staff behind the counter and neither of them acknowledged us. Eventually we were served ( after ringing the bell !) and ordered drinks, we sat and watched as we waited for our drinks, The dishevelled staff seemed to be at odds with each other and the young boy in the kitchen looked totally stressed and he and the lady cook did not appear to be on speaking terms. The place was not very welcoming and the plastic table cloths were sticky. There were several pallets in the garden centre that were either empty or filled with dead plants. The shop was also lacklustre and very expensive. The car park was flooded and needed attention. Sadly this will not be on my list of places to re visit.

Visited the cafe for a family member's birthday treat. Firstly there were several drinks on the menu that were not available, before we found one that was in stock (I understand a delivery had not been received). I asked what the pie/tart of the day was and apparently there was none. Secondly there seemed to be some confusion as to what was ordered (possibly on both sides of the counter) but when my bacon and brie toastie did arrive unfortunately I found two blonde hairs in the filling so didn't finish this. Hubby asked for a refund which he received. Other family members enjoyed their meal, however the whole experience could have been a lot better. The serving staff seemed a bit confused about where orders were meant to be received, and no glasses were given with plastic bottles/cold drinks - surely that's a given? This is the second time I have visited for food and not sure I will be back as both times have been below par. Shame really.Overall poor = lack of availability; could improve waiting skills and poor hygiene.

Poor selection of food and spotted the lady preparing the food playing with her hair before handling food! Ours looked like a school dinner when it finally arrived. Underwhelmed: arrived with partner, daughter and toddler grandson. We ordered drinks, sausage roll, 3 paninis, no chips or substantial meals available.Hot drinks and a cold sausage roll arrived fairly quickly. We then waited, waited and waited for the paninis to appear. Toddler getting very restless now despite nice new play area. I went to the counter to ask why we hadn't had the paninis. Several young staff there, was I initially told, they forgot. Then backtracked to: "we are very busy, 2 orders in front of you." I couldn't really see that they were particularly busy. Paninis eventually arrived but were not very good, did not have much filling. Coleslaw the best bit. Disappointing and frustrating.I've had really tasty, excellent fare here in the past, what has gone wrong?

La comida era adorable, tuve la merienda y era hermosa, un amigo tenía un sandwich de salchicha y ella realmente disfruté. Creo que el precio es razonable. La única razón por la que no 5 estrellas es que el servicio era lento. Había mucho personal y no estaba lleno.

Disappointing visit to the cafe. Visited with a friend and we both decided to have a cheese scone and a pot of tea. Ordered and paid in advance at the till point, but told to sit down and it would be delivered to table. We waited for what seemed like an age for these to be brought to the table. Then when the waitress did arrive she just brought one scone and the pot of tea for 2. I said we ordered two scones and she said that she could not fit 2 scones on the tray and had to go back for the other one. Why she didn't just use a larger tray I don't know! The scone appeared to look nice and looked a very decent size. But on tasting we were very disappointed, did not seem very fresh, and certainly not very cheesy. Could have done with some mustard or cayenne pepper to help the taste. Also the milk jug had a nasty looking ring around the milk level which made me think it had not been cleaned very well. There was plenty of seating area both in and out and also undercover outside. We decided to sit in the outside area undercover. But was not impressed as the whole area did not give the appearance of being very clean. There was a lot of bird droppings over the backs of chairs and all over the paved flooring area. It looked as if it had been a long time since the floor area had been washed or cleaned. Also the legs of the tables were very dirty. The tops of the tables also appeared to be dirty, not once did we see the waitresses clean a table after clearing it. When we left the cafe we visited the farm shop and noticed in one of the freezers in the shop, plastic bags containing scones! And a notice on the top of the freezer saying 'not for sale cafe food only', this would explain why the scones did not taste very fresh, they are obviously frozen and thawed out for sale. All in all very disappointing and as I said at the start cleanliness is questionable and I will not be returning and will not be recommending to any of my friends.

Visiting Goslings Farm Shop for some PYO strawberries it was a completely unexpected surprise to also find the attached Garden Cafe open. So pleased about this that we decided to re-plan our day around lunch.Despite what is noted on Goslings 'home' web page the cafe is open daily through the week and not just weekends! The latter perhaps needs be corrected with some urgency so that other customers visiting the farm shop are drawn in earlier in the week to enjoy a welcome snack when the cafe is open between 9.00am - 4.30pm.The cafe has been fully upgraded in recent times. It is clean and tidy, and has plenty of table seating space inside and out. The food is waitressed from a small kitchen separate from the seating area. The 'specials' boards and front counter offer a good food choice at very reasonable prices. Breakfasts, or coffee with a freshly baked scone are an excellent mid-morning snack. For lunch from the tasty selection of home cooked food we chose to have vegetarian quiche with a side salad and new potatoes, and my wife opted for the pot of home-made smoked mackerel pate, toast and a salad garnish. Both were absolutely delicious! ... but unfortunately we had no 'tum space' to take on a small dessert for afters. The staff were friendly and very helpful so much so that we intend to go back again very soon to further explore the menu choices which we were told are changed from time to time.We have no hesitation in recommending this cafe to others as it is one of the better farm shop cafes we have visited ... and believe us over time we have visited quite a few around Suffolk and beyond!

We were a table of 9 plus 2 dogs looking for brunch on bank holiday Monday. We phoned a few days previous to book a table to be told they couldn’t accommodate us in the dog area indoors but we could just turn up and get a table outside (which couldn’t be reserved either). We travelled 30 miles to come here, paid the parking fee and easily found 2 tables together outside. It was just before 11am as we were told on the phone previously that breakfast was served until 11.30am. The waitress gave us the breakfast menus and asked us to order at the bar. We made our choices quickly but when we tried to order at the bar at 11am another waitress told us that she couldn’t take our order as the kitchen was overrun because it was a bank holiday! This was despite not 1 single table inside the pub being occupied and us easily finding a table outside. We explained that what we were told but she refused to take the order. This was very disappointing considering our previous phone call and having 2 cars travelled a round trip of 60 miles. We were told to order from the main menu but we couldn’t order for another hour as it didn’t start until 12 noon. The waitress was very dismissive and not apologetic. Very poor customer service as far as I’m concerned. We won’t be going back.

Really recommend this place. Last minute dinner booking, with no issues for a table of six. Lovely place and a good menu. The food was really nice and came promptly. What made this place though was the service from the two ladies who waited on our table. They were extremely kind and friendly and I'd go as far as saying they probably provided the best service I've ever experienced anywhere.

Tried to arrange our engagement party here and is the worst communication and service from the event organiser I have ever received. Constantly ignored even when it got to the point of going into the sea you to speak to the lady who organises. Had to keep chasing for responses and in the end was just ignored and never got back to. Is a real shame as we really liked the cafe there but will not be returning after the way we were treated.
