Gosia's Cafe and Deli in Richmond upon Thames

A lovely little costume boutique bistro serving the most beautiful strawberry tarts, chocolate eclairs and pavlova amongst other sweets treats. A wide variety of cold drinks both alcoholic and non and also hot drinks. My favourite is the oat milk hot chocolate. Traditional Polish dishes like braised lamb and dumplings and a wide array of homemade soups, from leek and potato to Zürich which features polish sausages and hard boiled egg all served in timely fashion. A cosy and relaxing environment with very comfortable seating space.

Popped in to get some cake to take away. Upon checking I noticed I have been overcharged by £5 so I stepped back in and kindly explained. The owner did not apologies and made me feel as if it was my fault. She also explained she charged me £1 per paper box for the slices of cake (£5.90/slice). So an extra £2 which was not previously mentioned. An already expensive purchase just turned even more sour by rude service and charge for paper boxes?! Won’t be returning.

Gosia's is so wholesome and one of the few cafe where the coffee tastes so good! And her pastries are so good!

This place is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is very cosy, there are so many details all around, the little lamps, old pieces of decoration and delicious cakes everywhere. The staff is very friendly and nice. Overall a really good experience 😊

Probamos dos. Ambos eran increíbles y también grandes. Los precios son muy buenos y me alegró ver que hacen pierogies caseros. ¡Esperamos que la próxima vez esté en la zona para comer un poco! Just a ‘shout-out’ of appreciation for this wonderful Polish café in Teddington. My wife and I came here in search of pierogi (Polish dumplings) and left having achieved these, an excellent chicken goulash soup, and two wonderful cakes: blueberry cheesecake and the apple-and-cinnamon strudel. The food (all homemade) was first-rate; the atmosphere was gently bustling throughout our visit; and the service was a perfect combination of attentive, thoughtful and warmly human. We look forward to our next visit and say ‘Dziękuję bardzo’ to Gosia and her wonderful team in the meantime.

Bumped into this while on a casual stroll in Teddington before Christmas and decided to give it a try. The place is very cosy, has a traditional style and very inviting in the cold. It’s not big so you might not be able to get a table immediately but it’s worth visiting. It’s very clean, including the toilet. We did wait a while to get our food but it was quite busy and also the food is prepared at the time of order so that’s understandable. I had the Zurek soup which was delicious and huge! My husband had the club sandwich and that was big too. The chai latte was really delicious! Prices are very reasonable and we will definitely return, even though we don’t live locally.

The food looked delicious. I ordered a strawberry tart. Which was slow to being served and when I was eating it I found mould on the inside. I took it back to thd waitress would wasn't very apologictic and just said would you like another one. I said I would choose something else. A chocolate éclair which also wasn't very fresh. When I paid the bill they still charged me full price. And when I suggested that they should remove the other strawberry tarts she said no they are fresh. Which they didn't look any different to mine. So had I been given an old one. Certainly won't return.

Consistently excellent, with the best sweet treats, coffee and service around. A gargantuan selection of cakes that makes it impossible to choose. Love the vibe in here too - it’s like being in Gosia’s lounge. Please consider supporting independent businesses like this one over the chains

Hands down the best place in Teddington for a full English and Polish food. Gosia and all the staff are wonderful, and it’s one of those home-from-home feelings even just popping in for a coffee.

What a cosy little gem of a cafe! Called in for breakfast. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. The scrambled eggs with ham was delicious. Great coffee. If I had had any room I would gladly have tried one of the cakes/pastries on offer.

The cafe was really prettily decorated for Christmas, Gosia was nice and the food was very tasty, a good portion and reasonably priced. We would like to go back.

Vibrant, great food freshly cooked. Perhaps a bit tight on space, but a marvellous change from the formica topped counters and tables of other restaurants. Portions were generous, everything freshly cooked and there is a marvellous selection of cakes. I loved it.

Gosia's is absolutely a hidden gem. I love this place and their food so much and am always looking forward to the next time I can eat there. The goulash and beetroot soup are astounding and I love that it is served piping hot. I live in Brighton and I probably think about Gosia's once a week. It is so comforting and I love the atmosphere. Definitely go give it a visit, you will not regret it !

I've been here before ... And it's the same. Run by the owner who puts her signature on everything from the decor to the food. I really enjoy it. There is a polish theme but it's understated... So you can get things from preogi to a full English breakfast. The food quality is very good and portions are generous, so good value for money.

Lovely lunch served by very pleasant ladies who were extremely attentive. Food was delicious (all of it and yes my husband did order too much but managed to finish it). Keen to return next time we visit teddington.

Honestly the best lunch I’ve had in the area, all food is home made and you can tell. The meatballs were perfection, an incredible gravy. Really large portion too!! Great service and atmosphere Highly recommend

I happened upon this Polish cafe this morning and ordered a full English breakfast for £5.95 !! Expectations not high , but it was large and delicious ! with quality products cooked perfectly There were so many locals who obviously come every day which is a great sign of a good place. The menu looked amazing and all the homemade cakes on display looked amazing. I will definitely be back to try Gosia's Goulash which a lady eating near me had. So nice to see an independent cafe with such heart in the middle of Teddington. And you can have a beer or wine too😉 10 out of 10 from me

What a great little authentic family type run Cafe. Reasonable prices and excellent food. Couldn't hit the many cakes as the polished bacon scrambled egg was so filling. Plus the enormous coffee that didn't taste like the multi owned coffee shop dishwater. Highly recommended.

What a treat this lunchtime was! 🤤 Mamma-mia, pierogi, barszcz, pastries.... everything was just incredibly delicious! So many yummy cakes on display, it's a tough choice! Very cute decor and a friendly welcoming service. I would most definitely recommend! We shall return for more very very soon 😁🤩

I bought 4 pieces of cake and paid 26 pounds, the cheesecake was made of mascarpone cheese, nothing interesting, 2 pieces of another cake had a lot of cream and was not very tasty. I think that I will not recommend it to anyone and I myself will not go back there again

We had tea, coffee and cake. The food and drink was excellent although the portions are very large. Try not to be in a hurry as the service is relaxed. The decor and atmosphere alone would encourage me to return.

Fantastic authentic polish deli. The dumplings got 10/10 from my Polish friend; took him straight back to his childhood. And the donuts are out of this world. Small layout so good luck for a table but 100% worth it

Went on a Sunday morning for brunch. Great brunch menu. Selection of English and Polish dishes. Service was great. Very nice and attentive people who serve. They also serve evening meals which we would like to try one day. Highly recommended.

We ate there on the 5th April and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. My only criticism is that they don't have tables inside that are high enough for a wheelchair to get under, that's why we had to sit outside

Imagine running a cafe with a variety of cakes and pastries but having no vegan options in 2024! Cute cafe but really out dated menu and food options. We were told that there's no vegan food options whatsoever! So we had to leave and go across the street to another cafe that's modern and has vegan cakes. Their loss not serving customers with dietary/ allergy restrictions.

At first it was lovely I read reviews they said generous portions I disagree average I butter for2 whole slices of toast but what really got Me just over 40.00 for ham omelette scrambled egg with smoked salmon small amount 2 teas and 2 slices of what they call Nutella chocolate cake absolutely tasteless where they got Nutella from who knows well overpriced we'll I'm guessing as no receipt the cakes look wonderful in the window but prices on them would be good my sister paid gor this as a treat she is 76 and not well of by any means it was well overpriced will not be going back it was the taste of the cake that the low score was for also the portion size I've had much larger hot nicer food for cheaper in other places not too far

A gem in Teddington. Very stylish eaterie with very delicious, freshly made traditional Polish dishes plus a few others thrown in. We had Zurek (Polish soup with vegetables, Polish sausage and boiled egg, very hearty) and Pierogi (Polish ravioli) with Barszcz (beetroot broth), both were superb. The portions are also very generous! There is a chiller full of handmade Polish cream cakes and a variety of sweet pastries, it is very hard to resist. We will visit Gosia's again and again, every time we are in Teddington.

Lovely food, we always come here for the dumplings and beetroot soup. Sometimes service is a bit slow but staff are lovely. Prices are very reasonable. The seating arrangements are inconvenient where you have to stand up to let people pass behind your chair. But we still make the journey from Surrey so the food is worth it!

We all love food. A Polish restaurant. The atmosphere was really relaxing and music was subtle so it was easy to talk. The waitress, Alicja (hope I spelt that correctly) was extremely friendly and the service was excellent. I had the Schnitzel, not my first time, and as always it was absolutely delicious and the taste uncompromising as to what I'm now accustomed to. Excellent value and extremely satisfying. If you haven't sampled the food then you're definitely missing out, highly recommended, great spot for lunch or tea, a very good selection of cakes and pastries.

I’m yet to have something to eat at Gosia’s that isn’t amazingly tasty. I’ve been eating here since they opened and it’s all good. Breakfasts, omelettes, pierogi - all served in big portions and very tasty. Coffee and smoothies are great. And of course the cake selection has to be seen to be believed. This week my cake loving lunch companion could not believe her eyes and rates her enormous slice of Black Forest Gateau as ‘delicious’.

Currently sat in this lovely place with nice cosy atmosphere and great playlist. Really friendly and warm staff, delicious homemade yellow pea soup, generous portion and quality brown bread. Wanna come back!

Terrible cafe the cup of tea was on the menu at £3.50 for a large cup. I only wanted a small one which was £3.35 but didn't want to seem cheap as it was all I was having so had the large one. My friends had coffee and cake we spent around £20 and was there for about 35 minutes. When I paid for my tea they charged me £4.00, I asked why and was told it was for the milk in the tea. This wasn't mentioned anywhere in the menu and wasn't on the menu boards. That's £4.00 for a cup of tea!!!!!!!! So expensive, wouldn't recommend this place and it was a bit tatty and dirty the seat covers were stained etc....hardly a classy cafe so I don't know why they think they can charge these premium prices.

I went into this Cafe with two friends for coffee. We had a pot of tea £5.00 a large cup of tea 3.50 an expreso and a cake. We all went Dutch and my tea which should have been £3.50 cost me £3.90, when I asked why, I was told it was for the milk! This wasn't on the menu it wasn't mentioned anywhere. So it cost £4.00 just for a cup of tea. I'm not a cash cow I understand they have a business to run but I think they have an unhealthy disrespect for customers. There are plenty of other cafes selling tea for under 3.00. I'm surprised they didn't charge me for the water and use of cups and spoon etc...... I'm guessing they only want the incredibly wealthy vising their little shop

Great customer service and fabulous food . The owner and her colleague are very nice and kind and humble. Would love to come here more and try more of a polish cuisine 👍🏻 before coming to this coffee shop I never tried any sort of polish food / Eastern European food but now I’m in love with it.

What a wonderful place! We tried it out after noticing they sold pierogies. Had the pork and the mushroom pierogies and they were absolutely delicious, we also have the beef goulash with potato pancakes which were incredible. Would 100% visit again, lovely atmosphere, staff, juices were great and food was just excellent! We couldn’t stop talking about how much we loved it !

Gosia is an amazing host and very warm and welcoming, her cafe-restaurant also looks pretty! Making it a pretty place to meet with people. The food is also amazing, and portions were filling. We will definitely comeback to try other dishes from the menu and the patisserie. Also, there were many locals too!

Gosia's is the quality cafe of Teddington. A great variety of cakes and cookies, homely dishes, all delivered with friendly fast service and even faster WiFi. If you're in Teddington and looking for a place for a break...forget those dime a dozen coffee chains and reward yourself with a visit to Gosia's.

By chance we arrived late on Wednesday needing sustenance after a visit to a very ill friend in hospital (we have just heard that she died about 48 hours after our visit!!) and two very tasty (and hot) bowls of soup revived us – they were a meal in themselves so the fact that the kitchen was closed was not a problem. We also took some pastries home with us and they were enjoyed too. Lovely people, quick service and what about all those Festive decorations!! So happy to have found you, thank you.

Cosy cafe with great variety. We enjoyed polish sausages with mash, onions and suaerkraut, pierogi and beetroot soup and scrambled eggs. Generous portions. Good flavours. Great service. Coffee was good too.

My first visit today and I absolutely loved it 😊 delicious food, cosy but somehow spacious inside, and a very friendly staff! I will be back for sure to try out the amazing looking deserts and some more of my favourite Polish dishes.

The atmosphere of the cafe is magical, the decor is absolutely beautiful. Coffee and cake on sale. Smiling service. Everything was done by hand. It's worth the trip to Teddington. I wish there were more such great home places, not just Costa and Nero and other chain stores... I recommend it 200%

Try the goulash soup...amazing, paked full with fresh ingredients and served with fresh bread on the side. (Evidently the owner gets in their at 4.00am to cook and bake). Refreshing to have an alternative to the same old mundane fayre that gets served up in every other chain in the highstreet.

Best breakfast and baking in Teddington. We visited twice during our event holiday. The first time for coffee and pastry when we were in a hurry. It was so good, especially the light and delicious Cinnamon Bun, that we came back with more time for a full breakfast. I had a full English, no complaints about quantity or quality. My wife loved the Shakshouka and the daughters demolished waffles with bacon. Fruit juice was freshly squeezed and coffee came in big mugs. All very happy. And then we saw the cakes!! Homemade, spectacular and decadent. It’s a small place so you have to be patient but well worth the wait.
