What a fantastic service, no queing with teh QR code, just have your conversation and your food magically appears and tastes ace too

Best burger ive had in a pub ever. Hands down it was very flavorful and the chips were so so good.

Love this place. The recipe here is one part simplicity, one part attention to detail and one part care. I can imagine the quest set by the creator of this menu - find humble ingredients then deliver them to the customer quickly, in a form that's easy to appreciate. Why mention that the beef is grass fed? Why mention that the bun is a potato bun? Because these little details matter... it's careful, deliberate decisions - one degree change here and there and the heading is suddenly a much tastier destination. Oh, and did I mention that it's in one of Cambridge's best local pubs? Yeah, there's that too.

Excellent vegetarian burger with lovely serving of just right and well seasoned crinkle chips. Excellent bar food!

The order took some time to arrive but the burger is surprisingly delicious. You guys raise the bar for pub food!

I used to go often but have been disappointed of late. Menu has become more limited, and not flavorful anymore. Also I resent the 10% service charge when there’s no service - you order on an app, the waiter just plonks the food down wordlessly and you need to get cutlery and napkins yourself. This used to be such a great place, it’s a shame.

I missed the bit on the order form where I could write a note about my allergies and when food arrived I couldn't eat it - but (despite this being my own fault) staff were good enough to take it back and cook me another free of charge! Fantastic service and very tasty too.

Delicious food, we had to ask for a box to take it home. Couldn't believe the quality and flavour of the pulled pork on the loaded fries, it was very chunky and meaty too. Great portions

A dramatic drop in food quality and service. For context, this kitchen is a separate business to the pub which it serves from so ordering is from a QR code on the table and nothing to do with the bar. The QR link stopped taking orders for around an hour on a Saturday night with no explanation. Friends at my table ordered at 7.44 (2 portions of loaded fries, £7.50 each), and it arrived after 9pm, soggy and clearly microwaved in a hurry. Cutlerly and sauces are self service from a table near the toilets, however only a couple of spoons and knives were available, no forks given today. When the orders went live again I ordered a shawarma spiced lamb smash burger and onion rings with confit garlic and chilli aioili. I waited 45 minutes for this, and it was barely warm when it arrived, but of course there was nobody to talk to about this, no check backs. Nobody clears empty plates here, all the tables are messy - in fact one of the servers actually put down an empty tray on the table in front of one of us (who had not even ordered any food!) and just left it there and walked off. Back to the food... I couldn't taste any spice whatsoever in my lamb burger, totally devoid of flavour. It seemed like a crispy slice of lamb with some cheap mayo and vinegary cucmuber in a small brioche bun, basically cold. The onion rings were clearly straight out of a freezer bag, about 6 of them, just about warm, in a pie dish for £5, with yet more cheap mayonnaise. 'Confit garlic and chilli aioli', forget it, this was straight out of a cash & carry bottle. Something has clealy changed here as I'm told it used to be good. Don't swallow their instagram videos as these are clearly made during the day when there are no customers to worry about and they can cook and present the food well. Absolute rip off, terrible quality food and no customer service whatsoever. The only redeeming feature is that it's located in a good pub with decent beer and good staff.

Saturday lunchtime, early, quiet but cosy. Inside -on a winters day. There is also a large marquee outside, and behind that is a garden that’s great in the summer. Food is pretty decent, limited selection when we visited as a lot of the menu items were unavailable. Food only available via the app and qr code on the tables. The system seems to work ok, but not especially speedy. Great beer/cider//perry selection. You can get a taster of any draught beers, you don’t usually have to prompt the staff for this but don’t be afraid to ask if they don’t offer ( usually they do offer). Atmosphere only 4* this visit, but usually better- always worth a try.

One of the best burgers I ever had. The chips were also excellent. My friend had the vegan burger and also said it’s one of the best they ever had and rated it a strong 9/10. The Cambridge Blue is a lovely place to have food and a drink.

Great food great service and great atmosphere

Great burgers backed up with a superb beer choice at The Cambridge Blue. A bit heavy on the seasoning on the fries but I’m being picky. My wife appreciated the 0% alc gin as she’s on medication.

We had a chicken burger each and shared chips. Good value for excellent food.

The Roma burger is real tasty, delicious combination of flavours. 4 out of 5 because I find the prices a bit too high compared to the market around in Cambridge, for the size of the burger, it could have been 1£ cheaper per burger I'd say, same for the fries.

Had a lovely burger & extra pickels whilst being on night out with friends. Portion was just right and buger was delicious. The only downside was that it took around 40 minutes to get the food, but the place was packed, so it's understandable. Ordering via app at the table was convenient as well.

The food is quite good. I had the loaded ships and they were great. My partner had the Chorizo burger and he said it was ok but nothing amazing. It gets quite busy on the weekend.

First visit but not the last. The staff was friendly welcoming and helpful I ordered stuffed mushrooms and the G and L fries Both was excellent the best pulled pork I’ve had on fries My husband had the spiced lamb burger which was superb The meals was hot ,fresh and delicious Definitely would recommend

Second time we've had it, first time ordered through foodstuff, second time at Cambridge Blue. BOTH PHENOMENAL. Hands down the best vegan/veggie burger we've ever tasted. I don't even know how they do it. Amazing service from a bloody lovely team. All in all top notch stuff. Would highly recommend.

The smash burgers were good but they were smaller than expected - their photos make them look bigger. One burger wasn't filling enough but at £10 each they are very expensive so I'm not sure I would have ordered two. I regret ordering the Gorilla Fries as they were dry and very light on toppings - again not like the photo on their website. I found myself dipping the fries in the aioli to make them tastier and less dry. The onions were undercooked, so they were a bit soggy and not crispy enough. I’m undecided if I will try Gorilla & Lamb again and it is hard to find a table for just 2 people at The Cambridge Blue pub.

Just tried the tacos de pollo and they were excellent! Probably the best I've had in UK and I've tried loads of Mexican places. Please make this a regular part of your menu! Also love the authentic Valentina hot sauce great on the chips! Really friendly staff and good food, a perfect addition to one of the best pubs in Cambridge.

Visiting from the US this place blew my mind. def recommend the chicken, burgers and fries cant go wrong!

Tasty enough... But this was £10. Basically a thin layer of chicken with some pickles on top. In a bun. Bit of sauce. Rip off.

Came here at the end of a pub crawl in need of satisfying sustenance, and this place did not disappoint! Truly delicious food served with a smile by friendly staff, wish a selection of choice beers to wash it down too. Just what we needed 👌

Food mediocre. Ordering service didn’t work for 1h before we could even place our order. Then it required phone and email to be provided to order.

It's tasty and fresh but nothing extraordinary

Fantastic food. In a city with so many gourmet burger joints Gorilla and Lamb stand out from the crowd. I highly recommend the buttermilk fried chicken burger with some Gorilla fries. Get down the Cambridge Blue and give them a try. You will not regret it.
