food was late again and cold delivery man phoned me at 5.35 saying he was at door but he was at a different address am 12/2 he was at number 2 so 15mins later and me standing outside looking for him he turns up on foot hardly wonder how my 3rd order has been cold and I explained to the Indian 12 is my stair number and flat 2 as he told me they see 12/2 the other way around so please explain to your delivery men how to read a address correctly please

Usually the pizzas are always excellent but tonight not quite as good.. felt like different cheese was used.. texture a bit off and a bit salty. Hope it’s back to normal for next time.

Nothing wrong food deliveries early and it was nice and hot food and also nice amounts of food and it very filling. Glad to order it again some time and great chips !!

first time my order arrived cold as I get an order twice a week it was also nearly an hour late for delivery

The restaurant was wonderful, I put the new address and when I went to check out it didn’t accept the new address and it went back to a different one. Very frustrating. The restaurant was very helpful and kind

I don’t usually leave reviews, however I thought this deserved one. Absolutely lovely food. Really, really good, food was hot, tasty and will definitely order again. Our regular chippy had to decline our order (not sure why) however I’m glad this happened as we got a great meal instead. Thank you ☺️

Over 2 hours to deliver and order 5 mins away from vendor. Second time in three orders, won’t order again. Port as food is normally good

Said an hour delivery before ordering, restaurant changed to between 1.5 and 2 hours delivery after ordering then received disappointingly small portions. Not the usual from Gorgie Fish Bar

By mistake, I communicated the wrong address (actually, I inserted the right postcode, and when the site asked me for the billing address I put an address which has been used as delivering address). The delivery man (Mr Belin, if I understood properly his name) came then to the right place and has been kind to me. I am willing to compensate him for the extra time and gasoline he had to consume.

Fish n Chips delivered hot & was as usual Delicious! Unfortunately the mince pie was rock hard inside & out, was inedible.

The last of Edinburgh’s really good chip shops. The food is always 1st class and I’ve been a regular for over 10 years.

My impression was as bad as possible after visiting "The Georgie fish bar" the taste was so disgusting that I spit it all out, it was worse than rubbish. If you don't respect yourself this place is for you 🤮

Great quality as always. Cheeseburger rills could do with maybe more cheese in between them. Seemed like 2 hamburgers fried instead. Just for future! 👍

One of the best fish and chip shops within the country. Foods always amazing. People in the shop are always a delight to speak to makes it much more of an experience within the shop. If you’re within the Edinburgh vicinity I highly recommend you take a visit.

Rude and arrogant staff who literally laughed at me when I said I needed 1 doner meat and chips, sighed and made me feel awkward when I asked her to repeat the range of sauces they served because she spoke too quickly, and tried to pick a fight with me when I clarified that I want doner meat. (Specifically an overweight lady who always takes customer orders). Don't wish to visit this place ever again.

The Fish supper I just ate . Is without doubt one of if not the best in Edinburgh . Trouser button undone time for a kip . Magnificent thank you

We ordered our food for 2045 - this was the earliest time available and already late for us as it was a busy night. It has been 1hr and 11 minutes, and it's just arrived. It's cold and chewy. Very disappointing as it's normally much better.

The best fish supper in Edinburgh … but I don’t think we’ll be ordering through Just Eat again. It’s just not the same arriving cold when you’re no longer hungry

The homemade steak pie is a frozen pie with packet puff pastry over the top, very disappointing.

Ordered a vegetable kebab at £6 and received a pitta bread with lettuce, onion, sweetcorn and tomato!

Best chippy in Edinburgh! Grew up near here 20 years ago and loved it then, came back on a visit home and it's still excellent. Staff all still there and friendly as ever. Will be back every time I'm home!

Portions are massive which is great quality for money

This is strictly take away but the food is fresh delicious and a great value 17 pounds for a small pizza haddock and a steak pie and a drink. The portions are very generous. Only issue is there us no where to sit!

Had a delivery two days ago and it arrived promptly and was hot and very tasty. I would definitely recommend the gorgie fish bar to anyone who wants a delicious takeaway.

When I ordered it said delivery of time of between 50-65 minutes, as soon as the order confirmed it changed to 90-110 minutes. Probably aware they won't get many orders if they put the genuine time, so seems a little bit sneaky.

Bland food, fried pizza wasn't fried. Good portion size.

Food tasty as always, but spent 5 mins peeling paper from onion rings as stuck to bag with sauce. Polystyrene container might be more advisable in future

Gotta be the best chippy in Edinburgh the food is amazing The fish is superb but the sweet chilli haggis and the cheese n burger is to die for.Crackin friendly staff who always have a smile,hello and cheerio makes this establishment well worth a visit. I've been 4 nights in a row not good for waistline but wat the bell its worth it

Order was wrong, and chips tasted undercooked.

The food here is excellent. Freshly cooked to order and delivered within approximately 30 minutes of ordering and is piping hot. Staff are very pleasant over the phone as is the delivery person. I would highly recommend The Gorgie Fish Bar to anyone.

Honestly, the first time I ordered it was super late but the food was good. Have been coming back ever since and it’s been great. Couple of times we’ve had some duds in terms of delivery time but the food is great and usually early

Food wasn’t that fresh which is unusual for the Georgie fish bar but the chips were soggy and I left a note for extra sauce and for the pizza to be well done but that was ignored

Absolutely disgusting fish supper! Fish was bone dry and the batter was really dark and super greasy. This used to be a good chippy but the obviously just dont care anymore. To call yourself a fish and chip shop and happily give out a meal like that is a disgrace!

Best traditional fish bar in Edinburgh and I don't say that lightly, I've tried a fair few to get to this opinion. Always made to order and crunchy yet soft on the inside chips. Service is great too, family run which just adds to the reasons to visit. You won't be dissapointed!!

People are so kind. Fish and chips is good taste. I ate 3 times in 5 days. It's a reasonable price. If you visit in Edinburgh, you should try this chippy.

Usual high standard and prompt delivery

Fish was very dry & batter overly brown. Chips were wet from sweating in the polystyrene box. The peas, pickled onions & rolls were the only palatable food sent out. Very disappointed as this use to be the best chippy this side of Edinburgh. Can't be the same owner sending out this rubbish.

Food was excellent and I was more than happy with the amount of toppings.
