I ordered haddock,mushy peas, a small lamb doner kebab with onion, cabbage, lettuce, pickled peppers, with a gerkin. The haddock that cost £13.65 looked and tasted like it had been cooked twice, it was tough and the batter not crispy as it usually is,it was hard and the fish tough to chew, the peas, warm. The kebab didn't have the lettuce, cabbage, only onion and lots of pickled peppers, lots! I've ordered before from this fish shop and everything was just lovely, what went wrong, I'm angry!

I frequently buy from this Shop but recently everything has got worse, today I purchased a batter sausage meal, I paid £1 extra to top up some extra chips, when I came home and opened it there was a minimal amount of chips and all were undercooked. I will not buy from this shop ever again.

Bread roll was stale. Curry sauce now comes in a tiny pot and large fish was the flattest fish I've ever seen. disappointed

The food is average, if you travel a little further to Seven Kings Fish Bar then you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much of a difference it is. This shop is no where near as good as the Seven Kings fish bar. The service is ok but they charge you extra for everything even if you want it packed in boxes, it’s a pound extra! Absolutely ridiculous. The fish isn’t great and the chips are mediocre.

Customers are just served...not felt welcomed

We did ask that the burger has no cheese, very disappointed to see there was cheese.

Below average chippy. The batter on the fish wasn't great and there was absolutely no seasoning involved. Staff was nice though and it was priced very well.

I ordered 2 large cod’s and 2 regular chips from this place. And the chips were either really dark or burnt! As was the fish. It was such a dark colour, the oil must be really dirty! I called the shop and spoke to a gentlemen who didn’t even bother apologising he had a disgusting attitude, clearly service means nothing to this place. DO NOT ORDER! AVOID

Kebab was terrible to be honest, I’ve been polite and given a 3. Chips were also dry and no flavour regardless of how much vinegar I put on it. Service was ok but really this place is poor for kebab. I tried their fish once and that was also very average.

Stated on the menu jumbo sausage in batter came and it was tiny was no where near a jumbo sausage and was charged more for this and I did not get what I paid for

If everything was great the. Why the the four stars you ask? The food here is always spot on, what I find staggering is the cost of a tiny Pot of curry sauce. £1.50 is a joke. What I do is pop to the local Chinese en route home and for £1.20 pick a small tub which is about 4 times the amount u get from here.

Was late All the saveloy's was missing which the shop knew about soon as we phoned them they were still in the shop, wanted me to ''buy again on just eat something for '50p' '', and would send out 'replacements then', NEVER AGAIN will order from here!.

It’s a late review for this fish and chips shop,but I thought people should know about their mismanagement skills and how they turn their words over the phone to when you go to collect. This shop recently changed their management and now I know why they are having issues. So we tried ordering food online and it wouldn’t let us pay for some reason,called them to place an order and the aunty said it will take just 8min to get the food ready and asked us how far we were from them.We said it would take us 15min and when we reached the food had not even gone for frying and she started fumbling when we asked her that she promised us just 8min so the man frying food said they had run out of some particular fish.I cancelled the order as it was no point in waiting for more minutes for just one of the order. What shocked me was there was no apology whatsoever from the aunty at the till. Secondly when I wanted to order the pie she said that is not Halal ..which has left me with doubts about this fish shop. It was Ramadan and after a long day to end the fast and believe me this was the first shop which sent us back without food..with such a poor service and questions on my mind about the halal ethos. The one star was to write the review.

Went to buy fish and chips for my kids after school, service was poor. Was given tiny portion of chips, was told Il get the usual medium size chips… knowing the standard fish and chip shops I was expecting a decent amount of chips and this wasn’t the case..First and last time walking in after school run, and never going there again even for a Friday fish chips! We’re big fish and chips fans…. And never again for us unfortunately.

This used to be my regular but their service has gone down tremendously. I have been quickly popping in probably everyday for the past two weeks to see if they have wings readily available - their whole display has been empty everytime i visit and the waiting time is 15-20 minute if you want 5 wings. There are other fish bars in the area that have better quality food that also keep up with the demand. And also more hygienic as well.

It s my first time with my daughter, and we really enjoyed a good and hot chicken doner. The chips were hot, the ambient was really nice with music and really clean. Definitely well be back 😊

First time trying fish and chips from here and it was delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the fish was nice and crispy and the masala fish is perfect. Chilli sauce is also very delicious. Went on a Saturday evening and only had to wait 10 mins for my order. Will be back for sure.

Chips order Went to get only chips after work, late after 9pm. The staff I guess were on a break at the back of the store so they got this 9 year old boy to serve me I told them I woukd prefer to be served by anyone over 18, as illegal for a child to serve a customer in this environment. I tried looking for the price of chips so when I finally asked the price was told £3.20 for a regular portion, shocking, increased from over £2.20, by an extra £1! Since then I make my own chips at home !

I was really surprised... the price was very steep and the uncooked tortilla meat was almost 5 days old and very dry I was very hungry when I came home from work service 0

This place is a rip off. £40 for 2 large Cod and no chips and 1 fish cake on Uber eats. I get price has gone up but this is robbery. I spoke to guy on the phone an he said collection is £28. Blaming Uber Eats but you lot set your price. Completely avoid. Food was not all that!!

Proper vest of time order masala cod for collection 19.05 give me 30 minutes I went to shop 19.35 they said they said order not ready need to waite 15 minutes I did waite gess but they did made normal code wasn't masala when I saw they said sorry need can u take this or waite other 15 minutes for me is 0 star

I called in this evening to place an order as we had some family members over. They were in the mood for fish & chips so I called into the shop to place an order to save time. The women on the phone told me that I would need to wait at least 1 hour for my food. I told her that we always call in before hand to place our order and that it is always ready within 15 minutes like it always have been since they first opened. The women said that I would need to come into the shop in 1 hour time and not before that as they are busy. The lady was very rude on the phone and she refused to take my order so I left it at that. I then got my daughter to call in 10 minutes later hoping that someone else would answer the phone that would be willing to kindly take our order as that was the whole point of the "telephone service" as they advertising on their shop sign dine in/collection. The lady again picked up the phone but this time she was very abrupt and rude to my daughter when she asked if she could place an order for collection. I was in awe shock that we were being disrespected for calling into a restaurant just to place an order, especially one that we have been visiting for more than 2 years to receive treatment like this. After the way we have been treated we will not be visiting this place ever again. We ended up going to the new Mam Grill Hut that's just been opened down the road as we were left with no other choice and we had family guests to feed and it turns out the Mam Grill Huts food turned out to be great and their staff in the grill hut were extremely nice and accommodating so now we know where to go next time where we are respected and treated nicely!

Multiple orders, all perfect and hands down 1 of the last few best Fish and Chips around, and portions like the good old days

Ordered batter in a bun absolutely disgusted how the young worker handled money and handled my bun. I confronted him and said did you not wash your hands he point blank lied to me said he did I said since I ordered my food been standing and watching you take 2 more orders after making my food. I do not want to imagine what he does in his spare time let alone working front desk and handling food. I said how did you lot get the health and safely certificates clearly dodgy print outs better off brothers in seven kings for your fish and chips they actual have better hygiene and better service. I also ended up throwing away my food.

Since the Goodmayes Fish&Chips opened door we've bought food and was delicious, the portions were okay. Unfortunately last week's the large chips portion is getting smaller every time we've ordered them but today's large portion is like small one. That's not fair. So the company will lose their customers

Visited this lovely restaurant today to be greeted by some new faces, very quick service by the till assistant. Very friendly too. The food was cooked fresh and the taste was amazing. Would definitely be coming here again.

The owner took an incredibly long time to fulfill my takeaway order and seemed to have no regard for implementing a proper queuing system. To make matters worse, online orders that were placed much later than mine were served before my order was even fulfilled. The quality of the food was equally disappointing. The batter on the fish was completely unseasoned and tasted bland. Considering the subpar taste and poor service, I found the prices to be exorbitant.

One of the best place to get fish and chips In Redbridge. Fish is always cooked fresh to order. Chips have always been consistently good. Try and visit the shop for take away for better prices then online delivery service and be greeted with friendly service.

when I opened up my delivery of fish and chips I found that it was two portions of fish missing but had two pies instead, however after contacting the shop the mistake was corrected and a fresh order was despatched, the fish portions were very large and very good in fact it was excellent although some of the chips could have done with a little longer in the fryer some a bit hard. the mistake with the delivery was dealt with quickly and with no questions asked, they handled the problem very well.

Well really good fish and chips in a london area (very hard to come across) but this is nice and the batter is nice on the fish too (well most of the time i have and cant complain) portions are quite good to so i would recommend...also i also go there myself as uber/etc mess up ...

On Thursday 13th off April 2023 I came to the shop around 11:40am I have ordered Donna kebab and chips the kebab was cold warm and crispy on one side it was the worst kebab I have ever tasted I am disappointed I have eaten 3 mouthfuls off it it was disgusting I have left a lot on the plate the kebab bread was cold the meat was awful abut burnt on the edges some parts was cold and the rest was warm waste off money the only thing on the dish was the chips the chips was good the kebab I gave it 2 out off 10 I won’t be eating kebab again but I will eat the chips here sometimes☹️

Avoid ordering food from them I’ve ordered my food on Uber eats from them and they took the first payment and then on the next day they took the second payment from my bank account which I do not understand why they took the second payment from me as I did not order anything else in order for them to take-the second payment off me.They are scammers trying to scam people, I have also contacted them so many times and asked them to why they’ve charged me more than once then they denied and wasn’t agreeing with me I even sent them a proof. I’ve screenshotted the evidence from my bank account which they took my money out from the bank twice. And I’ve requested them to refund my money back that was taken out more than once and again they’ve refused to refund my money back. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS AS I DO NOT WANT ANYONE ELSE TO GO THROUGH THE SAME THING. AND DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM I REGRET MYSELF AND WILL NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN

Honestly, the best fish and chips I've ever had in London. So much so I've been going here pretty much once every single week for about 5-6 months now. They never fail on the food, quality and service. The masala fish is amazing and goes great with their chilli sauce. I look forward to visiting this place everytime and always leave happy after having absolutely great food. All of my photos attached are on different occasions of my visits.

I got a few food to try I got the fish and chips, the spicy burger, and the plus a few wings. The establishment was super clean when it came to order the code came by itself so it’s not fish and chips it’s fish and you order the chips separately fish needed more taste to it no seasoning at all not even the batter it was fried in the wings was not fresh the bones was black it’s old chicken the spicy burger they didn’t have so they gave me a fry chicken burger with spicy Masella the fry chicken was cheaper than the spicy burger but they said it’s dipped in Spicy Masella so it’s the same price ok I will have to say the Masella is good so best cook at home and just get Masella takeout.

Went for £9.50 small fish chips with drink, the fish looked burnt the flat as pancake the chips was nice but sorry wont go back. Go to traditional fish chips guys avoid if possible.
