Good Fortune Fish & Chips in Wigan

4 curry samosas £3.50, very expensive. Chips were under cooked and clearly refried. Ordered mushrooms, which turned out to be a foil tray of gravy and more onion than mushroom. Really disappointed, and this has been 4th poor experience in a row, I won't be returning.

Got charged £9 for a small portion of chips and fish. Fish was fried fresh but chips had been sitting out.

Thought I would give this Chinese a try but honestly have to say it was the worst I have had in years. Soup was so salty it was inedible beef in black bean sauce was so rich it was again inedible, the sweet and sour pork was more jelly sauce than liquid, salt and pepper ribs were more of a crispy batter than salt and pepper coating.

The best Chinese in the area, food is always lovely and hot.

Been here twice and both times the fish & chips has been spot on! Really delicious - fresh and crispy. Looking forward to trying the Chinese food too next time.

It was ok. The food wasn't the best tbh. It wasn't inedible it was just ok. I wouldn't be rushing back. The staff were lovely and pleasant.

Strange extremely sweet sauce on both main dishes, ruined underlying meat which tasted fine. Ribs (no sauce thankfully) average Poor food 1/5. I hate to say this but probably the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve had actually.

Chinese okay very tight on skin she £29 for some food she only charged me £19 by mistake when I told her about this she charge me the extra £10 couldn't even throw in a drink for a goodwill gesture I've been so kind could've took £10 from these people they are so tired so skin G trade offer me up a free bag of prawn crackers after spending £30 of them on fair

Never again. I have been to so many different Chinese takeaways and was looking for a new one since we have moved house. We tried this tonight and straight away I thought the prices was really high even by today’s standards. We got rice chips and chicken wings it was £10 😬 I thought it must be good. We got it home and I have never seen portions as small In my life! I got 7 chicken wings for 5.80 and what looked like a child’s portion of rice and chips for 4.20. If it was good food I wouldn’t mind but it was average at best but at restaurant prices. Save your money.

I use this chinese at least once a week and the quality and service are consistently excellent. Be sure to phone first though at the weekends especially as they get very busy! One thing I would like to see though is the calorie content of each meal on the menu. Good work Good Fortune! See you again soon!

Best for miles. Great tasting, freshly prepared food, large portions and excellent service. Highly recommended....

Put a telephone order through and when I arrived they had only just started cooking it. Stood there for 20+ minutes waiting. Then when I received the food: - Fish was small and soggy. - Chips & curry were put in the bag upside down. - Paid for a jumbo sausage but didn’t receive it. - Pot of mushy peas was just runny sauce. - Duck was burnt with very little meat on. Will not be returning.

Ordered via telephone, was told that the order would be around 35minutes. I was still waiting for the food an hour and a half later. Very poor organisation of food orders.

Gorgeous freshly cooked food, good service, phone ahead though as it's always busy! The Special fried rice is amazing and the salt and pepper chicken too.

This is by far the best Chinese chip shop in the uk. Always fresh food and always helpful.

A local chip shop, do a decent fish and chips. You can request a light battered fish which is a healthier option,or you can go the chips and pie root. Good value. There isn't much of a parking space, so can be a bit tricky on such a busy road!!

I have been ordering a takeaways from here at least once a week for the past 6 months, always food the food hot fresh and very tasty, phone the order through and its ready in 15 min, highly recommend.

Always order Chicken Foo yung, as the portion is large and contains lots of chicken and is enough for the two of us.(we are a couple of pensioners with fairly small appetites). We ordered the same again today and struggled to find any chicken at all. A phone call to complain resulted in a totally negative response and we won't be going there again.

Decent chips and the spicy noodles are addictive. They should consider adding tofu to their main menu.

Having recently moved to Lowton we thought we'd give it a try. Now we go about once a week. Delicious food really good chips. The ladies are lovely. Chicken and cashew nuts one of my favourites.

I have been to this takeaway on numerous occasions. The food is great, the owners are lovely people and go out of their way to make sure you get good takeaway food. The owners moved in a couple of years ago and refurbished the place. It’s clean and has a large variety of Chinese food dishes. You will not be disappointed with the quality of food. I travel here from a distance as I used to go to their last takeaway, you tend to get used to your local food. The only downer is they only open tea time. You may wait a while for your food as they take a lot of telephone orders, so call them and order before you go in to save waiting.

My daughters favourite Chinese take away. I drive past 6 Chinese take always to get her. Love the quality food, the friendly service from the ladies and a great price. Park up, pop in co-op next door got fresh milk and bread Winner all around....never tried it as a chippy

The previous owners of The Rainbow produced a good quality beef curry and boiled rice for £4.60. The present owner has increased the price to £5.30 and produced a much lower quality in taste. That was the last time I dropped in.

Mi esposa y yo visitamos la buena fortuna de un jueves a las 6 de la tarde. Quizás tres o cuatro personas esperando. Tomó cuarenta minutos antes de que finalmente nos dieron nuestra pequeña llevar un entrante y dos platos principales. Lo siento, pero esto es totalmente inaceptable. Obviamente tenía unos pedidos teléfono, pero ciertamente no esperaba que esperar más tiempo. Ni siquiera tienen que pudimos sentarnos en sillas. La comida está bien, pero hemos tenido mejor.
