Food was absolutely amazing. The variety and taste was exceptional. All items had a unique taste and were full of flavour. The decor of the place is also nice and to top it off, great customer service.

Uncalled for racism from the service staff who refused to seat us inside despite us being able to get an online reservation. As Bangladeshis ourselves we denounce this type of preferential conduct that puts the value of seating visible non-desi clientele inside. Never returning.

I took my partner out for our anniversary meal to Golpo and it was an instant favourite. The dry-bar was great for us as we aren’t big drinkers and the alcohol free cider and Strawberry mojito were delicious and very fresh. The food was amazing and was clearly made with love and passion. Every server was kind and so helpful, we will definitely be back again!

This is an excellent Indian restaurant. They have traditional dishes and more unusual recipes too. Everything we had was delicious. I always use onion bhajis as a bit of a point of comparison as I love them, and these were truly top notch - as, in fact were all the dishes we chose. It has an extensive “dry” bar (all non-alcoholic) but they are happy for you to bring your own wine/beer. The service was also very good.

We were a party of 14 who just walked in without booking. The welcome was respectfully warm and welcoming. The service was first class, the food was delicious, freshly cooked and presented beautifully. The hosts happily accommodated our prayer obligation and even provided us with prayer mats! Highly recommend Golpo if you’re looking for an alcohol free environment with a wonderful halal dining experience in Cambridge! We had a really nice Golpo experience (Golpo translates chit chat!) Discovered this fabulous restaurant after a visit to the Botanic Gardens down the road and popped in for an early dinner. We'd never eaten Bengali food before and assumed it would be standard 'Indian' but were in for a few culinary surprises, especially the poppadoms and chutneys, which were very different to what we've come to expect. And date naan - a taste of sticky, sweet heaven. The staff were really friendly and, on discovering it was my partner's birthday, produced a little cake with candle, and the birthday tune! Golpo have a 'dry bar' which means alcohol free, but do an amazing range of cocktails, wines, beers and cider. We had the cider, which was light and refreshing on a hot day. Who needs alcohol when the food is so good? We'll definitely return.

This place has a nice ambience and lights. Loved the food. We tried pani puri, chicken biriyani, naan and butter chicken. Biriyani was soo good. Loved the flavor. Naan was a bit hard though. Quantity is quite large, good for the price. Staffs are very kind and friendly too!

Very welcoming and informative front of house staff made the visit most enjoyable. A newly opened restaurant, well appointed and decorated with pictures of life in Bangladesh. The knowledgeable staff were quick to provide explanations about both the dishes on offer and the cultural and historical background to the restaurant. The food was delicious with distinct differences in the taste and spice levels of the curry sauces. Would recommend Golpo to anyone and we are already planning our next visit.
