Goldstar Fish&bar Turkish Cuisine in Mendip

Visited for lunch with a friend and had the lunchtime deal which was amazing value (at £7.95 each) and fabulous food. We had lamb mousaka hummus, patican ezme pita bread and baklava too. We had such a warm welcome and would highly recommend this place to eat a little gem in stourbridge. We will certainly be returning.

We tried this restaurant as a lady who had just come out said if she could eat there every night she would - praise indeed! Was not disappointed either. I had the lamb shish and my husband the chicken along with a few sides. Everthing was delish along with a turkish beer Def come again. Thank you. Very clean and social distancing practiced.

Great value , and the best fish and chips I have had for a long time . Was even as good as a seaside chippy . Food was fresh , hot , tasty and not at all greasy. Would recommend a visit to anyone

We had an authentic Turkish chicken kebab with a couple of tasty Turkish sides. Very good food. One of our party had fish and chips, good British standard. Brought back memories of Turkish holidays.

Went into this restaurant today for lunch. Was impressed as it was clean, spacious, nicely decorated. Friendly staff, good food. Turkish music was being played in the background. We ate from the traditional Turkish menu having a meal and side dishes. Drinks we chose were raki and rose wine. Great value for money. We both enjoyed our meals and chats with the friendly staff. Will definitely be going again when in the town. Give it a try!

Went on a Monday lunchtime first tome i have been inside a restuarant since covid lockdown. Felt safe as it is roomy and was not many customers. So happy with food love Turkish food and miss it since moving from London .Had a köfte kebab and patlican side dish served with rice salad and pitta. Felt like i was on holiday in Turkey or Cyprus. Portions were generous and very reasonably priced my frien had a mini fish and chips that was a good size. Would certainly recommend my friend had baklava as well. Was really happy . Staff were friendly and was able to practise my Turkish . No holiday this year think ill have to visit more often

Went to the gold star for somthing to eat.what a great place to eat the manager was absolutely brilliant nothing to much trouble.i had steak pie and chips which was beautiful.rest of the family had cheese and chips and the wife had shish chicken.every thing was gorgeous and very resonable would highly recommend this restaurant for the total package well done hope it last till come again

Very friendly staff made me feel really welcome, the food and drink is amazing I'd give it a 10/10. Clean and tidy very nice layout, if your looking for a nice place to go and eat I'd recommend this place.

Husband and I have visited this restaurant a few times now. Menu has choices of hot and cold meze, Turkish style grilled meats, fried chip shop style fish and chips and salads. They do a range of hot and cold drinks and alcohol too. The food is lovely; all cooked from scratch with fresh ingredients. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. This restaurant is very cheap considering the food is such nice quality; we had a main course each (with good sized portions) plus wine and soft drinks and coffee after, it was only £27. Highly recommended by us! Thanks

A wonderful warm welcome, made to feel totally at home. The owner is obviously very proud of the restaurant and the food that is served. The sea bass was recommended and did not disappoint the fish was cooked to perfection and served with salad and chips. We will most certainly be going back.
