Delicious food, wonderful customer service, for a couple of pound gave us a tub of plain chicken for our dog. Brilliant price for the outstanding quality food. I would highly recommend this place. The staff are incredible

Great food for reasonable price. Lady who works there is really taking care of her customers. She always adds something extra into our bag and is she is very friendly and her meal suggestions are always useful.

I had a delivery chips rice curry sauce in a tray there was hardly any curry sauce it was too dry was not happy as i needed to eat due to diabetes

All I can say is very disappointed. The food is probably going to be very nice. But we will wait and see. as I'm still waiting for it. The lady told me it was going to be 45 minutes. It's now been over 2 hours. When I rang to complain she told me it was on the way. This is just not a good enough. My daughter buys from this Chinese takeaway every week and they have recommended me to change from my normal chinese takeaway to this takeaway. I've got to say is hot looking good. A very unhappy custome.

Called in tonight for food and there is sign behind the counter 'CASH ONLY' ...... are trying to avoid paying tax?

I feel 1 star is too many after the service we had tonight. Ordered at 5.30 by phone was told half an hour to 40 mins for delivery. Over an hour later we phone to say still no food. The lady on the phone says 10 more mins as there is bad traffic (he only has to drive down 2 roads ) so we wait a further 20mins before cancelling the order. Another 5 mins later the food comes. We tell the driver we cancelled the order as its been an hour and a half. He simple says 'has it' ok' and walks off. Not bothered at all. No apology etc. Will not be using this Chinese again shame really as the food is good.

Best takeaway ever and we've tried lots of places in Coventry. Excellent prices. We pay £14.60 for Beef curry and we can choose either chips or egg fried rice that comes with it. 1 portion of chilli, salt and pepper ribs that are large and lots of meat on them. And also free prawn crackers with delivery. The lady who answers the phone is always very pleasant and has got to know who I am. The delivery driver is an Asian guy who is very pleasant. They have never got my address wrong, not like some places. I would highly recommend their food and they are very quick at delivering.

Brilliant Chinese takeaway, my favourite in the city. Food always cooked to perfection and always arrives quickly and promptly. Friendly staff too, you can't really ask for more. Highly recommend Happy Family, anything Salt and Pepper, Sweet and Sour, and the dim sum collection.

Excellent experience all round. Very friendly and helpful receptionist, delivery driver was excellent too, not just for arriving after only about 15 minutes but was also very pleasant. Very nice food, and not bad value. Worth calling rather than using apps etc. Recommend: sweet and sour chicken, special fried rice, crispy beef Cantonese style.

The best Chinese in Coventry . Someone recommended this place a while ago, and I'm so happy they did. The food is absolutely amazing every time!!!! I would rather not have any Chinese food if this place is closed 😄 I am a very loyal customer 😀 Thank you so much xxx

If I could have given this place a 1 star, I would have. From start to finish they were just awful. I waited over an hour for the food to be delivered for the delivery driver to not even believe it was me who ordered? He had to ring my phone to believe that it was my order. Fast forward, the food came and was DISGUSTING!! The food was cold, tasteless, greasy and to be honest it seemed as though the chips were old/refried. I rang the restaurant to speak to someone and got told me they’d only refund me if we gave the food back?😂God knows what they’re going to do with the food if they want it back, after someone else has touched it. Overall, the experience has just been AWFUL. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve had many Chinese Takeaways over many years but must say that this evening’s first visit to Golden Kitchen was amazing. The efficient, friendly service culminated in me and my family enjoying the best meal selection that I can remember. The free pancake rolls and prawn crackers were a delightful bonus. I will definitely return for more and can only recommend the food here, as the best I’ve had for a long, long time! Sincere thanks to all at the Golden Kitchen!

Very good Chinese/Cantonese takeaway, with on street parking rifgt outside. I found it via Google reviews, whilst working in the area. Reasonable price, good size portions & chips to die for.. I chose chicken curry with chips, Thai style chicken chilli & banana Fritters. All was freshly cooked, hot & tasty.

My favourite Chinese i really enjoy the food from here.

We have used this takeaway for over a year. About two months ago My meal was not as ordered. I phoned up and after quite a long conversation. I asked them not to redeliver and they offered to give me the meal free next time. No problem. Everyone makes mistakes. We did get it the next time and all was ok. OH, but not today. Ordered a dish with Duck. Chinese roast pork and crispy chicken in oyster sauce. What I received was fried tofu with vegetables.!! I phoned and was told it was what I ordered but then they said the chef had cooked the wrong one and they would send the right one. This time I said yes. In the meantime my husband ate his vegetable curry , which by the way has always been spot on. When my replacement order arrived. They may as well have not bothered. The Chinese pork was burnt ( deep fried to warm up I think) and dry, even with the minute amount of sauce. There was NO duck. . If I knew how to post a pic. (I am 72 and no idea) I would have.. Needless to say will never ever use them again. They had their chance!

Ordered today. The veggie curry was nice but the chips that came with them were inedible. Over fried and hard as nails. My guess is they have been refried more than once. The sweet and sour balls was lovely. Shame about the chips I would of given 5 stars

DO NOT ORDER IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES!!!!!! My sister has a life threatening allergy to peanuts and rang up & told the manager about the allergy. She was told that she would make sure there were no nuts in the food. It got delivered & she had one bite & started getting symptoms straight away. When we rang up the lady said “oh the chef forgot” and “we’ll I’ve done my bit”. Absolutely DISGUSTING service, they don’t care at all whether she potentially goes into anaphylaxis due to eating their food. We are now on our way to A&E.

Above average highstreet Chinese takeaway food. Certainly some of the best examples of each dish we've had. Bbq ribs were tender and well cooked falling off the bone. Chicken satay still moist and easy to bite off the skewer. Crispy beef was also great not too fried and with a good sauce. Not cheap, more than typical, but then better quality. Happily recommend and return if I'm passing Coventry.

Not Amazing, not bad. Food needed to be hotter, collection order as well so no reason it shouldn't be piping! Need more chicken in the house chow mein with more care taken chopping the vegetables. Overall, average.
