Golden Wok in Wiltshire

Once again we enjoyed perfect polite prompt service with really good food for a very reasonable price. This has been the case for the past few years. Long may it continue. Thanks guys and girls 👍

Went here on a Friday night. Food was really good. Had chicken balls with curry sauce and full of flavour and tasted very fresh. Also had chicken fried rice and it tasted fantastic

STILL LOOKING FOR A CHINESE AFTER CHINA GARDEN CHANGED HANDS, THOUGHT WE WOULD GIVE THE GOLDEN WOK A TRY WHAT A MISTAKE!!! WORST CURRY EVER, SAUCE WAS THINNER THAN WATER GREASY AND DIDN'TEVEN TASTE OF CURRY WONT BE GOING BACK

Turned up at just after 9:30pm, nearly 2 hours before google and Facebook said it closed. The lights were on and the door was wide open. Attracted the attention of someone only to be told they were closed! Why are they closing so early, lockdown is pretty much over? And why aren't they showing their new opening hours on the door or online?

The food is good but the delivery times are awful. Always say 40 mins you have to chase numerous times, always the same answer “it is on the way” you need to allow at least 1.5 hours

Used this Chinese through lockdown as my usual was shut. Food was a little bit cold. curry sauce was amazing I would rate it as average.

Ordered just after the opening after lockdown and it was hot and delicious! I’ve ordered from there for years and has always been a top Chinese! So don’t believe all the negative reviews

So very disappointed in golden wok. Had some lovely takes aways from them. But to be told take away is 45 mins away, then nearly 1.5 hours later still waiting is not acceptable, when other take away are delivered for others are delivered and eaten and still nothing 🤦‍♂️. If it’s going to be 1.5 hours them TELL ME! Be HONEST

I've ordered from here before, but I'm always amazed at the length of time it takes for them to serve walk-in customers. They prioritise telephone orders, as was demonstrated again today when I went in and placed my order. The young girl serving behind the counter took my order and just as I was about to pay, she answered the telephone and began taking another order, which took her over 5 mins. She then passed that order on to the chef, before returning her attention to me! At that point, I decided this would be the last time I would put up with this from this particular takeaway. Perhaps, as part of their future training, the owners should talk to their staff about completing each order in turn!

We Have been here before, so thought we would give it another go after the last times fiasco, I thought it could only get better, how WRONG can one be. First of all the food that we ordered while we waited was stone cold when we got it back Home?? so couldn’t work that one out.....unless we got someone else’s order? the Rice was reheated and stoggy, the Beef Curry had solidified and smelt very strong? The sweet n sour Chicken was again reheated or kept in Oven before being sold, the Bean Sprouts we’re swimming in some sort of liquid which looked off colour the pancake roll was actually cold inside, the only thing that was ok was the SnSour sauce. It all went straight into the Bin. If there was some way I could get our hard earned money back I would do it. We 100% will never be stepping foot back into that place again never in my lifetime, and would advice others to do the same. Really Horrible!!

Called in for a take away on the 1st December 17, had Sweet n Sour Chicken with Egg Rice and a portion of Fried Mushrooms..... in short,The Chicken was very dry as was the batter, the Rice must have been pre heated hours earlier because it tasted like cardboard, the Mushrooms had gone off and should not have been allowed out of the kitchen....in all a very bad experience. Why do these establishments think they can churn this sort of food from good paying customers and expect to be paid for it. Think twice the next time you want a Chinese takeaway!

Abysmal, this place has an undeservedly good reputation the good reviews are un-justified. The prawns were still translucent also no food standards sticker anywhere to be seen

After reading the other reviews I had high hopes for this place, unfortunately we were very disappointed, the beef green pepper and blak bean sauce was extremely salty yet very sweet at the same time, shredded beef with chilli was swimming in sauce and had no flavour apart from being over cooked and the beef chow main was really chewy, sorry to say we won't be going there again :(

The food here is the best around very fast delivery! I can't fault any of the food that I have had from here i order most weekends. I won't order for anywhere else now

Best by far. We've tried others but The Golden Wok gets it right every time! Mixed appetiser prawn toasts are THE BEST!

This used to be just around the corner from us so became our local takeaway. But we moved a few miles away so it wasn't that convenient. Any way I like to try different takeaways and there was no shortage where we lived. So I tried one then another....until I realised that actually none of them could improve on the excellent food we used to get from our Old faithful. So one night we thought "lets see if they deliver to our area"...Great news they do. So we order 3 main courses and one rice. (Sweet and sour chicken balls, Vegetable satay, Vegetable chow mein and Veg rice) It arrived with in 40 minutes (Great when you consider a local Chinese took 90 minutes) The meals came with free prawn crackers, which is always a good start!... The food was tasty and there was loads. We ate our fill...then plated up what was left to put in the fridge....another 2 full meals.... So I'd consider that great value for money. My only criticism is that they don't have a website to view the menu. But apart from that my wandering days are over I'm sorry we left you...I hope you'll forgive us.. :-)

Greatest chinese takeaway in the area, great value! The staff are always polite and flexible. I highly recommend this takeaway.....
