Golden Star Chinese Takeaway Falconwood in Bexley

We made an order before 8pm and was told the Oder would be with us with 30/40 minutes. After an hour and a half we rang to be told they only had one driver and the drive was on his way back to collect our order. I said they should of said it would be longer and admitted they only had 1 driver. The girl on the phone laughed and said yes that’s my fault. Sorry but it didn’t turn up till over 2 hours after we order it. If my daughter wasn’t ill in bed I would of cancelled and gone and collected it. Then when it arrived, the rice was stodgy and not overly hot.

Picked up a takeaway from here via Uber eats. The food came pretty quick and was piping hot. The food was ok, can’t really complain

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the sauce was so watery it wasn’t even a sauce. The chips were dry. Not good.

Restaurant failed to deliver food. Didnt ring doorbell even once but claimed attempted delivery. Phone line non stop busy. Offered for me to come and collect. Never again. Best avoid

Always a good meal from Golden star. Delivery can sometimes be hit and miss, normally late, this time it was early but food was fresh and delicious.

It was lovely food but it arrived very late.

Food was late by over half hour, once I opened the order, the food was full of mushrooms which I had specifically put in the notes section as there is a allergy to them in my group. When I called the restaurant to speak to them about it, the women I spoke to was so rude to me and was shouting at me saying I’d cut her off - I was trying to explain the issue! She then told me I’d get a refund, I asked about how this would happen as I’d paid cash and was answered again very rudely telling me the driver would be back with the money then hung up on me! She didn’t ask my address so I’m assuming I won’t be receiving the money anytime soon Wouldn’t order from here ever again!

Food was amazing. I just wish they had put a small dip sweet and chill sauce for the butterfly prawns. Other than that the meal was on time, hot and delicious.

Everything was delicious EXCEPT the duck which was burnt rather than crispy. We have always been delighted with our meal until tonight but I am sure it was just a one off.

I’m not normally one to write negative reviews but ordered some food this evening and the noodles smelt and tasted really odd. The smell and taste was so strong I couldn’t eat any of it. The rest of the food was fine. Tofu was dry. Crispy vegetarian chicken was lovely. It’s just a shame about the noodles.

Food is great, but seems to take longer and longer to get. We ordered at 6 and didn’t receive until 740. Even though we were told 710, this seems to be happening each time we order which is such a shame, we’re never told by the restaurant it’s running late and always have to chase. It’s a shame as it makes us feel that the experience isn’t great value for money.

Ordered at 6.30, should arrive at 8. It arrived at 9, stone cold. Just under £40.00 of food. Not a very happy pre valentine's day meal.

Revised delivery time which they did meet, however they sent prawn balls instead of chicken and the food was stone cold. Barely edible to be honest. Absolute shame on Christmas Eve. I can appreciate that they would be extra busy due to it being Christmas Eve but just stop taking orders rather than churning out inedible food. Wouldn’t bother again unfortunately.

Forgot dish then waited a long time for delivery

After looking at the delivery time for the restaurant which said 45-60 minutes then popped up as nearly 90 minutes. After delivery time came round, my food was late. I contacted the restaurant to be told it will be another half an hour. Good food. Slightly cold. Not worth nearly two hour wait.

Really disappointed as usually this is decent. The rice tasted off and reheated. The chicken also smelt off and was very soft. Overall really annoyed I wasted £25 on this when most was thrown away. Wish I could get a refund.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE how can you justify waiting 2 and a half hours for food to be told it’ll be there in 15-20 minutes every time you phone. Only having one driver isn’t good enough, don’t open if you only have one driver The woman on the phone was an absolute disgrace. Extremely rude and no apology given at all in regards to the order being so incredibly late. On google the restaurant says it’s closed on Tuesdays which doesn’t surprise me as it was most likely closed but didn’t want to say so instead stole peoples money’s and never delivered the food! And too top it off it has a 3 star hygiene rating. Never again and do not ever buy from this take away God awful would be the correct rating and no stars

Terrible service. I ordered at 19:40 . It's now 9. the app said it's being delivered 15 min ago.... The restaurant says it will be here in 10min, its with the delivery driver.... The distance is 1 mile !

Ordered a small takeaway 5 items at 7:40 on a Monday evening. App said delivery by 8:40. Meal arrived at 9:25 Who wants to eat at 9:25? Have asked for a refund. No reply. Restaurant should NOT accept an order if it’s so busy.

I very rarely review takeaways on here but I had to today, as this is probably the best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had! Everything is hot, cooked to perfection and delicious, and although there’s slightly cheaper takeaways in the area, it’s so worth it for the quality and portions are generous.

We had two quarters of crispy duck but they forgot to send the hoisin sauce. Otherwise brilliant as always.

The starters were quite nice but the mains lacked flavour (esp chow mein) and the crispy chilli beef was a bit chewy

La comida nunca llegó tuvo que cancelar después de una hora y media de espera, llamé al restaurante 70 veces y me dijeron que la comida se entregaría en diez minutos ya 20 minutos tarde. Manejé hasta el restaurante a 4 minutos de distancia y la respuesta fue que no tenían una máquina de tarjetas para reembolsar nuestros 32 y que deberíamos llamar a Just Eat, lo cual tomó otros 30 minutos. Un restaurante no debería aceptar pedidos que no pueda entregar, muy pobre.

Aparecí aquí para una comida borracha tarde en la noche después de un viaje en tren a casa. Entró y pidió pollo de Hong Kong con arroz frito con huevo. La comida era buena y llenaba un agujero.

All of the food was so full of flavour and not too greasy. I was especially impressed with the vegetarian shredded duck and satay skewers! :)

Excellent choice of Chinese food (inc. Szechuan, Cantonese etc) - ant they've recently added some superb Thai and Malasian dishes too. The price is very good, the service is excellent and, for "regulars" at least, really friendly, and the food is always hot and delicious. Highly recommended.

A Chinese take away ship that sadly lacks in customer service. Whilst the food is ok the experience makes you want to try other takeaways.

Pretty bland, and the meat was dry and a bit tough. Delivery was also a little late, but only by about ten- fifteen minutes or so. Average overall.

Delivered before predicted time, food was delicious but the Singapore chow mein could have had more flavour.
