Golden Platter in Hertsmere

I have used Golden Platter for our Annual Lunch. They are very good at taking on board the instructions as our members prefer less chilli and the food is still flavoursome

I have ordered some food from Bilal for the 31st night party at my home. We ordered £148 worth of food. Veg fried rice was off on the same day. They used rotten onions to the veg fried rice. Rice was too sticky. Fried brinjal was awful . Used so much onion and doesn’t taste like fried brinjal. My wife has text billal about this, but he choose to ignore it. I have informed to my friends that in the community chat (Sri Lankan)my local area not to buy. We waste money by ordering from Bilal. At least have the courtesy to reply back when you’re customer complaint. Very disappointed.

I ordered a chicken curry and rice. There was three quarter rice and a little curry. Most disappointed. Phoned and was told that is the amount they give. Won't be using them again.

We ordered food for a house party and the food was absolutely delicious. Very generous amount and nice presentation. Amazing to have a catering service at our door step not to mention with prompt service.

I’ve used Golden Platter for catering my parties a number of times and they’re so brilliant. The food is always great, lots of compliments from my guests. Great service from Bilal and team.

The mutton lamprais was absolutely delicious and so were the shorteats we tasted - lamb samosas and mutton rolls. The meat in the lamprais was exceptionally good, it was a generous portion and was very flavourful. We appreciate their outstanding customer service and the willingness to go that extra mile to deliver. We highly recommend them.

Got a take away. The customer service was good and was very accommodating but afraid that’s the only good I can say. We ordered; Mutton rolls - couldn’t find any mutton Chicken biryani - rice was ok but the chicken was too salty! Could eat only half of it Sea food stringhopper biryani - too soggy Fish pattis - ok Hot butter cuttlefish - I mainly went to order this since it is my favourite. But this is a wet dish and more like a devilled dish than the popular HB cuttlefish, which is dry. But as a devilled dish, very good

Exceptional service! I ordered some food as a birthday present for my friend in Chichester who was craving good Sri Lankan Lamprais and shorteats. They went out of the way to help me and to ensure high quality and brilliant service. They are extremely accommodating and even went to the extent of arranging a birthday card for my friend, at my request. I would highly recommend Golden Platter!

This place is amazing. I’ve eaten here several times now and each meal is better than the last.

I've ordered delivery a few times. Delivery within a nice time frame. The food has a home cooked feel to it which I appreciate. The hopper is also a very cool dish 👌

Very poor customer service. The ovner was very rude when I complained about the food, because it wasn't cooked. Avoid!!!

Friendly eatery with fantastic tasty generous portions of Asian cuisine that will have you salivating for more. The chicken curry with pilau rice is delicately spiced and comes in very generously sized portions. Takeaway only but all means are well presented in carts and the owner is one of the friendliest people you could hope to meet. One of the best eateries that Borehamwood has to offer and tucked away in a small parade of shops. Highly recommended if looking for Asian cuisine.

The food was so tasty we were carried away to Sri Lanka. We will recommend it to all our family and friends. Only criticism I can give is it can reduce a bit of Salt on health grounds

Absolutely love this place! It’s so good we’ve been ordering once a week for a weekly night treat! The jaggery beef is incredibly delicious as too is the Butter Chicken. I especially love the Nutella hopper for a sweet dessert after too. Delicious Sri Lanken cuisine with lots of flavour and wonderful service. A real find!

Thank you for the wonderful food which was so tasty and very presentable . The hoppers kothu roti, lamprais , with a variety to choose from a well presentable menu in addition the fantastic staff who very well qualified and knowledgeable. Thank once again. Really tasty food with loads of vegan options! Ordered for delivery and they came bang on the time that was asked. The food was hot, fresh and incredibly flavoursome. I will definitely be ordering again from here!

Excellent selection of authentic Sri Lankan food. They have a good selection of Hoppers which is my favourite, do try Nutella Hopper which is my personal favourite..

Catered for a Birthday Party this week in Ipswich. The food was so awesome that I felt like I was on holiday in Sri Lanka at an all inclusive resort. We had hoppers, rice and curry. Its all about picking the right dishes from the menu and clearly these hosts had and most of the guests were English who had never tried Sri Lankan food before and even they loved it.

Had the food at a friend's christening and the food was very tasty. It was the Sri Lankan style dishes.

This is a great place , best experience every time I had an event with them catering the event . The food is great really tasty and the staff are always on point

Food was ordered for a funeral and it was of very very poor quality, they were supposed to provide servers and charged for them but never provided any! When we told owner of this he totally disregarded what we told him. He was completely unsympathetic towards the type of event and people he was catering for, he accepted no responsibility for poor quality food or lack of service and refused to speak any further by hanging up the phone!! Utterly rude and atrocious businessman -DONT waste your money, time and guests experience with them as they don't care about the people they are serving or the quality of food they serve.

At 4pm today 22nd July I arrived at Golden Platter to pickup food for my Mum's birthday party tonight only to find he had the dates wrong. So I am left high and dry trying to arrange food for a party tonight. Don't use these people. They are not reliable.
