Superb pie mash and liquor and traditional yummy desserts. Exceptional service from the staff/owner as well

The single mash portion is enough for a small child...certainly not a good enough portion for adult it was a ice cream scoop of one dollop of mash ....other then that it was decent

The owner apart from the excellent menu 😋 is a lovely and friendly character... chat informative and knows so much history around a lot of boroughs and he's the cook ...that was the original chef in the mash & pies shop in shepherds that was they for over 50 years 😋

One of the best pie mash shops. As good as Manzes and Cookes. Close to lots of things to do including public transport. Great for a trip to the Battersea Power Station once you have enjoyed your pie mash.

I've never been disappointed at golden pie (pie & mash) it's a true taste of traditional food cooked to a great high standard,,,,I always look forward to going back,, adding to my review since visiting golden pie I'm a bit disappointed I've noticed the pies are definitely at least half inch smaller,so please Ali/owner bring back original size pie tins & bake the normal size pie's we were acustom too, really not happy with the shrinkage

Always lovely service and with a smile. Atmosphere was quiet as later in the day and a very cold day so not many people out . Food always lovely .

Lovely pie and liquor BUT !!! The potato is something to be desired as there were more eyes and bits of potato skin than actual mash

Had a lovely pie and mash with my mum very tasty food would recommend this place

I eat here every week and as you can see from the pictures I have uploaded the PML is always spot on. One particular thing I like is the Chilli Vinegar is more flavoursome than other shops and the black pepper tasted amazing too. The guy who owns it has over 30 years in the trade. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Discovered Golden Pie in Clapham Junction. The decor of Golden Pie was similar to Electric Rooms in Norwood. As I wasn't that hungry, I just had the pie and liquor which cost 3.50. Before adding the white pepper and vinegar, I tried the liquor first and to my surprise it was salty compared to other pie mash places I have tried. The pie casing itself was a bit soft like it hadn't risen and there and I could taste some pork lard which had gone a bit funny. Overall, I had to try it anyway for my records.

Tried this Pie & Mash shop for the first time yesterday as my local was closed and this will now be my pie & Mash shop of choice! Couldnt believe the shop is owned & run by the staff that used to run Cooks in Shepherds Bush!!! Food was 10/10 at Cooks & is 10/10 here. Wont be going anywhere else.

Not sure if covid related but were out of stock of a number of items on the menu. Hence the 4 * review. What they did have was very tasty and the service was lovely

Man who made the pies at Cookes shepherds bush is the same person at Golden Pie

The owner was nice and friendly and the shop was clean but it was not the best pie mash I have had and it was not the worst either they also do deserts there is no parking there I hope this helps

My only takeaway of lockdown and what a dissapointment. Dry pie, freezing cold old mash. The liquor was the only tasteful thing. I am hoping this isn't the standard as terrible but admittedly during a challenging lockdown period.
