On our last trip to London, we enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Open Page : superb food, friendly staff and a terrific atmosphere! I had phoned through my extensive list of allergies in advance and was delighted on arrival to be presented with a personalized menu, with a selection of game, fish and vegetarian dishes. The rabbit and the chocolate pudding, were gorgeous: both five star! The venue is only minutes from Earlsfield underground station so we were able to leave the car behind and enjoy the extensive wine menu. An early start the next morning so cocktails, albeit tempting, will have to wait until our next visit!

Moving to the area so thought I would try a roast. Had the Pork which was excellently seasoned (can be hit and miss I find for roasts) and the veg was very fresh and flavoursome. As well as that the portion was really generous. Decent beer selection on tap and the service was really friendly and personable as soon as you walk through the door. Will definitely be back.

WE had the pleasure of DJing at the Open page tonight. We were booked for a wedding via the clients. From the moment go Dom and his team were incredible. We installed a sound system and lighting in the front of the venue. This is a beautiful venue and really ideal for a celebration. The staff are incredible and made us feel really welcome. The food is great and the drinks are good. The courtyard style garden is beautiful. However, the prices are steep when you order a mackerel for £16.50 you expect some sort of carbohydrate accompanying it - I fear the Open Page will struggle against more competitively priced nearby pubs. I suspect the pricing and perhaps limiting marketing has stifled footfall. Atmosphere in the garden with a few people can be good. Inside is frequently dead - which is a shame. Drop the prices, put in some sort of promotions, market - what you lose in margin will be made up in volume as people will want to come and will then want to stay.

I recently had brunch at the Open Page and it was a great experience. The menu had a nice variety of options. The eggy bread, crispy bacon and maple syrup was delicious- lovely twist on the American classic! The cocktails were another highlight as is the wine list and recommendations. Service was prompt and attentive, and super friendly. The ambiance laid back and welcoming, and the presentation of the dishes was on point. The meal ended on a high note with an excellent cheese board Overall, The Open Page is a solid choice for brunch. I look forward to returning soon for their ever so popular Sunday Roast!

After a couple of really nice meals at the Open Page, we had a family meal there last night but left feeling really disappointed. We were surprised to see that the rugby was being shown and there was a large group of noisy lad who disrespected my wife, and turned the usually nice atmosphere into what you'd expect from a sports bar. Now I wouldn't usually link this kind of thing to the establishment itself but they seemed to know one of the owners, and we overheard him asking them to keep it down because of 'that table', which made us feel really awkward that somehow our presence was ruining their fun. Despite all this, the waiter was excellent and the food was really nice. Real shame because we've had some lovely meals there in the past, but I'll be much more cautious in recommending the Open Page in the future, particularly when they're showing sports.

This is a very chi chi gastro bar; the food and service standards are stellar. They obviously have a real desire to give a great customer experience. The decor and the ambience make this a great place to visit as a couple or with a group of friends. If you have an interest in rugby James (co-owner) is a passionate and knowledgeable England rubgy fan who is always up for the banter! Dom (co-owner) has a focus on maintaining a wine list which gives great choice and a chance for new vineyards to showcase their wines among the staples. Well worth frequent vists which will be your inclination after your first encounter.

We hosted my baby’s christening at The Open Page and were so impressed. Ahead of the day, we went for a planning meeting and wine tasting and talked through every detail we wanted. The venue also took receipt of balloons and decorations and set up for us. On the day we arrived to welcome drinks and a delicious 3 course lunch, which we pre-ordered. Our guests were really impressed and one even commented “one of the best roasts I’ve ever had.” Good quality, plentiful food and although we just had an area to ourselves, it felt very special. We had a reservation then when we arrived we were told it would be 20 minutes for food. Fine. It was actually 40 minutes before we were even given our coffees. We asked if we could even see a menu and were then told it would be an hour before we'd be able to eat because they had a table of 8 to care for. This is ridiculous for several reasons. People who arrived the same time as us were being given their food, so not everyone was being treated the same. The table of 8 were given more than one round of drinks whereas it took 20 minutes for our waiter to even look at us and ask if we wanted anything to drink. I've never come across such poor service and any restaurant that can't handle serving 5 tables at really shouldn't be accepting reservations.

I have visited 5 times now - the first 2 (summer 2021) were incredible. Very high standards of food - we absolutely loved the tuna tartare with avocado mousse & the lamb rump with dauphinoise. We recommended to everyone we know that lives nearby as we felt we had discovered a real gem - amazing 'centre of london' food, in the neighbourhood and at reasonable prices. On our recent visit at the end of Jan, we came away really really disappointed. The menu had changed significantly and the food was poor - made even worse by prices that still reflected the high quality we had first had. I had the sautéd chicken livers on toast, which whilst edible wasn't great and was served on a piece of warm bread (not toast). My wife had garlic prawns with toast - again not toast, but the prawns looked like the basic ones from a supermarket. Our main courses arrived after a lengthy delay. The risotto was cold, undercooked, no seasoning/ flavour and a tiny portion. The lamb shank with lentils was edible, but also cold and served with beans - a rip off at £18. I left with the feeling that I could have cooked a far better meal, which when you are paying £85 for a meal for 2 is not great. It's really disappointing to see how quickly this has gone from high-end dining to somehwere that is serving cheap products poorly (livers, lamb shank) at the same prices as old menu. I understand the previous chef is no longer there, but they need to fix this or change tack with the menu/ style before we return.

A disappointment overall. The chilli squid was so crunchy and we could barely find the tiny scraps of squid inside - it was more like fried Skips. The Tiger prawns were actually 8 King prawns which was a rip off for £10.80! We both had a burger for main. The bun was dry and tasted like it'd been defrosted quickly. There was hardly any sauce either. The table next to us complained about the lack of sauce on theirs too. Our bill came to £80 for 2 starters, 2 mains and some non alcoholic drinks which feels very overpriced. On the plus side, the waitress was lovely and friendly and the restaurant decor is nice inside too. We left feeling a bit sad as last year's reviews looked great and we wondered what's happened since then? Perhaps the challenges with covid have forced them to cut corners. Maybe there's been a change of chef. Whatever it is though I'm afraid we won't be going back.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Really wanted to enjoy this but just missed the mark in a few ways. The staff were all very friendly and the restaurant inside looks great. But sadly it took 1.5hrs after sitting until our mains came and really didn’t see a lot coming out the kitchen at times. One starter (the ham terrine ) was good, but sadly the muscles were a bit underwhelming . For mains we had the fish and it arrived cold and not a huge amount of flavour, burger was overcharred and dripping with oil, and the fry’s were not fully cooked through. it was a good menu but like it was another chef who was cooking it vs who came up with it. My reservation was on OpenTable but was removed meaning I couldn’t feedback directly to the restaurant on the platform, so no choice but to review via Google. Lovely place with a good vibe and I hope the feedback is taken onboard. This might have been an unlucky meal we had, as other reviews are good

Unfortunately this was one of the worst dining experiences my partner and I have ever had. I had been DYING to visit The Open Page since they opened, and we finally had the chance to go last Friday, 15 Oct. Sadly, the food was disappointing in every single way, and we left hungry. Starters*: Gin-cured Trout Game Terrine Mains: Lamb Rump with Dauphinoise Potatoes Corn-fed Chicken Breast with a mushroom cream sauce Side of Seasonal Greens (tenderstem broccoli) Drinks: Bottle of Argentinian Malbec (*The gentleman who brought the Starters to our table informed us they would be taken off the bill to compensate for the exceptionally long wait we had. Not the greatest start.) Being creatures of habit, we both ordered dishes we love. Gin-cured trout is one of my very favourite starters when I go out to eat. If it's on a menu then I'm ordering it! Unfortunately The Open Page's gin-cured trout was inedible. The most unappetising greyish-pink, the large chunk of trout was tough and bitter - it was as bitter as the pith of a grapefruit! I couldn't eat it and set it to the side. Our waitress, bless her, was lovely and offered to replace it with an order of their Focaccia with dipping oil and balsamic vinegar. This replacement starter of "focaccia with dipping oil" was merely three large pieces of deep-fried bread. It smelled like a plate of oily donuts. Not great. I tried a piece dipped in the oil - which most diners would assume would be Olive Oil. No. This tasted like cheap cooking oil. My partner was so unhappy he asked what the oil was which the waitress checked for us. Indeed it was not Olive Oil but Rapeseed oil... and it was not a good quality at that. My partner's Game Terrine was interesting. The Terrine slice itself was edible, but it was more like a cold, meat pie than a terrine. Sadly the terrine was let down by the accompaniments on the plate - some tasteless, crunchy onions which seemed to have been sweetened with brown sugar (no, these were not caramelised onions) and a beetroot-goats cheese mousse that didn't really go with the terrine and tasted like something from the shop. Our waitress was lovely yet apologetic as she cleared our plates. Then came the 30-40 minute wait for our mains. Food takes time, of course, but we placed our initial orders around 8:15pm and by 9:42pm still had no mains in sight. At this point I started a 5 minute clock saying to my partner I was happy for us to pay for the wine and leave to get food else where. To say our confidence in the mains had evaporated would be an understatement. That 5 minutes passed, and we called over a member of staff to ask about our mains/getting the bill when we then saw our waitress approaching with our food. My lamb rump looked acceptable, but a bit messy. That I could forgive as I was becoming hangry. My partners dish, on the other hand, was interesting to say the least. The chicken had been rolled up, cut at a sharp angle, and stood on the plate so it was spikes up. The same with the potato. These chicken spikes alternated with the potato spikes which resulted in a strange 4-pronged plate of beige. The chicken prongs were over-seasoned, and the potato prongs were under seasoned. There were two slivers on mushroom in the sauce, and it wasn't particularly appealing. My lamb rump was under seasoned, but it was cooked beautifully rare in parts. Other parts of it were a bit blue which is simply too rare for my personal taste. The dauphinoise potatoes were undercooked and topped with a cheese sauce that tasted like something from the shop. The carrots and onion (maybe a radish?) on the side were disgraceful though. The carrots had no seasoning and were not cooked properly. They tasted old as opposed to tender. The onion/radish situation was very disappointing as well. I couldn't tell if the little, round, white, vegetable was an onion or a radish that had all the flavour boiled out of it. Both vegetables I love, but they were soft and tasteless - again, not seasoned. The tenderstem broccoli hadn't been properly cooked either. It hadn't been steamed long enough, so it arrived quite raw and tough but also a bit charred. It wasn't dressed in anything other than some flaked sea salt - no olive oil, no butter. It wasn't a treat to eat. The positives? The wine and our waitress. Our waitress was so lovely at every turn and she was receptive to our criticism of the food. We saw other diners' dishes be sent back the same night, and keeping her grace and composure must have been difficult on such a challenging night. But she was great, and our wine was delicious. Never before have we sent a dish back nor have we gone for a two course meal and left hungry, but I suppose there is a first time for everything. Based on that one experience, I would not recommend The Open Page, and I have no intention of returning.

First time I’ve left a restaurant hungry!!Didn't make a fuss as I was being treated by my family.Informal Sunday lunch booked well in advance but a 1 and a half hour wait for food? Not on.I had the so called fish pie which was basically a ramekin of mush.In spite of being asked which potatoes we’d like, it arrived only with a few stems of overcooked broccoli.I was told it didn’t come with any other vegetables. The owner did come up with 2 roast potatoes between my niece a I and a couple of tablespoons of mixed vegetables. So disappointing.I was literally hungry on leaving the place.Basically the venue looks the part but obviously can not come up with the goods. Will not be returning

Great outdoor seating, high quality food, attentive service. Not cheap, but fairly priced for the quality. Delicious treacle tart :) We ate out Thursday evening around 6:30pm and it started off quiet but started filling up. The indoor seating looked good too.

It's a pity that Google can't yet tell whether I visit a business premises because I'm a customer or because I was there to maintain the electrical system at the property. Even though, I've worked in the kitchen several times, and I can honestly say that all the food created by Harry and the kitchen team, looks exceedingly yummy, maybe one day I'll have the time to sit down and experience their culinary skills.

The restaurant is located directly on the Thames and has a circular floor to ceiling glass layout. The ground floor is essentially a coffee shop that serves meals and the first floor is a restaurant. An ideal place for a relaxed meal. Good food, friendly staff, and excellent views of the river. The breakfast pancakes are not to be missed.

Such a beautiful town! The castle is a fantastic experience, staff were so friendly and helpful. The displays were stunning and well displayed, lovely to see. We were on a tour so couldn't spend as much tie as we would have liked. Highly recommend, hope to come again.
