A great Sunday lunch enhanced by excellent service by Ava, who managed to be both attentive and unobtrusive throughout the meal.

Really enjoyable, food was perfect, vegetables were cooked beautifully and the 3 meats were gorgeous. Our server, Brock, was so helpful and friendly, really pleasant. Considering he said he was relatively new to the team he was very knowledgeable with regards to the menu and the wines, an asset to the already fab team working there. We will definitely be back when we venture back in a few weeks from Liverpool. Thanks x

Lovely Sunday. Great roast, though would have loved some cauliflower cheese. Brock our waiter was great, lovely sense of humour! Will be back but hopefully next time with some cauliflower cheese!

Do not eat here. Staff forgot our drinks completely and had to reorder them. Pie and mash was tiny and an absolute rip off. Salmon which was undercooked and raw in the middle. This was sent back and ordered another which was also undercooked (even worse than the first one) and ended up leaving without a main. The burger was disgusting as well. Ambience was terrible - music was too loud we could barely hear each other. Waiter was very apologetic but even so I will not be eating here again.

The food is amazing and max was even better. He was a babe. And the wine list is very good too!

Super friendly and attentive - Brock was so lovely and had great energy!

Very disappointing and therefore surprisingly expensive roasts. Fatty pork (50% fat) with no crackling despite asking if it came with it and being told it did, roast chicken was a chicken breast that had been shoved in the oven separately , anaemic roast potatoes and bisto gravy. A shame as nice staff.

Max was very attentive helpful snd happy!

The food was alright, but the portions were underwhelming for the price. The burgers and fries were too tiny, resembling a kids’ menu at McDonald’s. We had a cabbage salad with mushrooms, which lacked flavor and imagination. Overall, it’s a decent place to have a pint, but not for a nice meal.

Awesome evening spent with my parents in August ! Nice food, nice vibes. Max looked after us the whole evening and was perfect ! Sadly, we returned to France but can’t wait to go back !

We booked a table on a lovely sunny day and got disappointed when we got sit inside. We were literally the only table inside the pub. Despite the menu being quite small, the food was delicious, the fish and chips were not greasy at all and the portion was huge. The duck was full of flavour and it resonated perfectly with the rest of ingredients. Overall, it’s not the kind of place I’d go to have good quality-value food.

We went to The Cyclist for the Euros semi finals and it was perfect. They had plenty of staff looking after all tables with table service, they were offering a full menu during the game with great options, the atmosphere was epic without it being too rowdy. Lovely place too! Big thank you to Max who provided great service throughout the match. Will be going back for the final on Sunday too. Can’t wait!!

We had fantastic service and also amazing food. My husband- who is very fussy about his steak- said it was the best steak he has eaten for years. Our waitress was really attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We definitely will return. Thank you for a great night

Attended the reopening of the Cyclist Pub. It is well located on the main road and has some outdoor tables and seating. The main bar area is quite small and also has a small dining area. The drinks were reasonably priced. The also have a bar food menu consisting of a variety of small bites. The small meat pie was particularly good. The staff were all friendly and welcoming who h added to the ambience. Great place to meet friends for drinks if you are in the area.

I was pondering whether to rate this pub three or four stars but I went for three as I really felt we were taken advantage of, due to our food choices. We're vegetarians who don't like nuts, so we asked for a veggie roast without the cashew nut wellington. Obviously something should replace that - we asked for a cauliflower cheese but were told no, we asked for an extra Yorkshire pudding but were told no. So, effectively, we spent almost £40 (for two) on eight potatoes, cabbage, carrots, swede and two Yorkshire puds. They were not accommodating at all. On a positive note, the waitress was lovely and they did a good bloody Mary.

The best bar I've been to in a long time! This place is so much fun and not to be missed. It's a laid-back, enjoyable bar with the friendliest staff. Max was our server and he was one of the best! Thanks to all the staff for making our visit to London so special. We love finding great bars to visit, and this one was perfect!

Best bar ever to come to!!!!! MAX IS THE BEST WORKER IN THERE!!!! We came for a week and half long visit and made it a point to come here multiple times! They are the best bar in Balham it’s nice, clean and beautiful! Everyone needs to come here and have max as your server!!!!

Amazing food, atmosphere and service! Max our waiter made it extra special, he went above and beyond and just did those little touches like filling up our wine whenever our glasses became empty really made a big difference. Couldn’t have been better! Highly recommend!

I was soo disappointed!! I’ve been told this is the place to hang out with my work girly’s on Friday’s because the music is on point!! Where did the South African DJ go? I came recommended a few times to check it out and was very disappointed with the dull atmosphere. The manager didn’t seem too bothered . So on with my quest to find a good place to hang out with the girls and to chill

Had a great meal here on Saturday evening. Very popular pub with very good food. Extremely helpful and friendly well-informed staff, really up to speed on allergy information, kitchen has a frier for gluten free food items. Good selection of food, beer, gin, and wine.

We had a very interesting experience we ordered IPA and got largers 3 times. I drink IPA all the time as you can see in the photos the 2 beers are IPA’s which were brought to us the 3rd time of asking, after they just sent the lagers.really weird service was amazing food was amazing just wish the management took responsibility for mistakes.

It is a pub that serves food and has a very pleasant atmosphere. I only went to have a drink with another person and we really enjoyed its atmosphere.

Went in for a drink on Sunday, after I had finished the LLHM. Started to order, and I was eating a roll purchased in Pret. The server told me to STOP EATING the roll. I told her I was hungry and I had just run 13.1 miles, and hadn't had time to eat, as I was very tired and exhausted. She said "NO, you cannot eat that in here"! I repeated that I had just run 13.1 miles for charity. Still, I was told I could not eat inside: you can go outside and eat that!! I said I could take my business, about £100, elsewhere: she just shrugged, and said "OK, then"!! Very dismissive of me. I repeated I was exhausted and I needed something to eat and drink! Still, she would not agree. I said I could ask for the manager: but, I am the manager, she replied. I said I'd ask to see the senior manager; I am the senior manager! I'd report it to the area manager, then: "you can email him", was the response. Again, very dismissive attitude and unbending! I told her I was Type1 diabetic, requiring food at regular intervals (for which they did not cater), and had coeliac: again, "you can eat outside but not inside". Even for people with Special Dietary requirements, there was no bending of the policy: UNBELIEVABLE!!! Stupid, really, as I could just have taken ONE step outside, taken a bite, walked back inside with the food in my mouth and continued eating! What's more, there was SMOKING area outside affecting my lungs! Later, I noticed a couple of tourists had brought inside, and were drinking from, a Pret coffee cup; this same server saw this, looked at them, and walked away!!!! I CANNOT recommend at all this place; VERY UNHELPFUL, and a totally DISMISSIVE attitude, and UNWILLING to accommodate health issues, probably against the Law. I will NOT be returning! Will go to the Firefly next time, instead!

I've been looking for a place like this in the neighbourhood for a long time! I went for a bite to eat after work yesterday and I loved it! The atmosphere is pleasant, clean and fun. The food is very good, the staff are being very well trained, my glass never got empty. I've certainly found the ideal place to go in the area. I'll be back with friends, work colleagues or my partner, because the atmosphere is great for anyone!

The guy with the mullet, ignored me and served 3 different girls whiles I was standing at the bar, eventually I said: “excuse me” and he pretended that he just saw me, it’s very unprofessional to ignrore the people that were next and serve just the girls. Place looks great, shame there’s desperate staff.

£7 a pint is unfortunately becoming the norm!

A nice pub, nothing too special. The toilet was clogged (didn’t include a picture, it was quite gross) but not for long. It would be fun if the menu had cycling refrenced drinks. Who wouldn’t order a vodka-Lime bike soda?

I applied for a job here. The manager Alex Streeter, didn't clearly mention the date of the trial shift. However, I did ask a question to reconfirm the date to which he didn't reply. When I went for a trial shift, he told me that the position is already filled. This is clearly not done!!!!

I loved the food was super tasty and affordable. The staff was super friendly, we had our friend’s bday party and they provided cutlery and plates even when we brought our own cake. Very friendly and supportive.
