Even tho we had a little problem with ordering thru Just Eat, we were able to make it work when we called. Food came fast, hot, and fresh and totally hit the spot. THey even gave us extras for being patient with the app mixup. A+!

We had chicken curry & chips, all of it had the same taste to it...kind of stale tasting. Chips were pretty hard. Would not recommend this place. Only good thing it was delivered on time 👎👎👎👎👎

Portion sizes were very big and food was delicious-we got a big bag of prawn crackers free with our order as well. Food was delivered very quick and 20 minutes early which was brilliant

Worst Chinese food we've had in a good while. Salt and chilli chips were definitely left overs from last night thrown back in the frying pan with some salt and chilli seasoning. Hard as nails. In the bin. Chicken was really chewy in all the dishes and my children could hardy bite through the salt and chilli chicken. Loads left. That says it all. Won't be back. Only good thing was delivery was on time. Wonder why? (No cooking involved!)

I've been going to this take out for many years and never once have I had a bad experience, delivery has always been fast, food always hot and tasty, delivery person very friendly.

food arrived suspiciously early then I had 1 mouthful & it tasted vile, it smelt off. the beef was slimy & the chicken balls were dry/overcooked & possibly reheated. absolutely appalling! this is my 1st & only time with this restaurant. avoid. & I got less than 50% refund,

Sent the wrong food, tried calling to give them a chance to rectify and they hung up the phone, and then ignored my call back. Won ton had zero filling, some weird rice dish sent instead of a chow mein. The rudeness of the staff is unacceptable

Food had weird taste....the beef wasn't great and food was cold

the chicken nuggets were over cooked and were rock solid, and the gravy was cold and under everything instead of over the top

Very pricey for what you get, but well that is the way of the world these days. Special curry was packed full of flavour, probably the best thing from here.

Used this place on and off for many years and it has never dropped in quality. Also, best sweet and sour sauce in the south side, proper sour and tangy, not thick sugary gloop like some places!

This was my first time ordering here and it will not be my last food was piping hot, fast delivery and good portion sizes food was really tasty so pleased i used this takeaway, i will be telling my friends and family to order too because i know they will not be disappointed. thankyou 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟5 star +

Food overall was very disappointing.. Wasn't very warm and had to reheat the meal..Fried rice was very dry, no flavour and looked very pale...Sweet and Sour sauce was very watery..Delivery was quick.

Ordered previously with Golden Phoenix, and it was great - they accommodated a custom request happily and we enjoyed the meal. This time they failed to accommodate that same request and that was disappointing. And so was the food (chicken fried rice). The chicken wasn't in the right shape (big fat white blobs rather than the usual slim long chunks), and it didn't appear to have been cooked much in the soy - it was too white and dry. There was also a weird goo in there too, almost a white froth that was oily. And the ham request was basically ignored and we got a few tiny bits instead, themselves gooey. This was not horrible, as much as it sounds like it was, and the curry sauce was good, but unfortunately after the great previous experience, this one one sucked by comparison and we won't order here again. Delivery time was great though.

chips were brick hard, the curry sauce looked like watery gravy I also ordered Brest of chicken and could tell just by looking at it it wasn’t! I wasn’t brave enough to even try it.I dipped a chip in the curry sauce and safe to say I didn’t even bother to finish dishing it out straight in the bin. Don’t waste your money!!!!

Excellent food - delivered hot and perfectly

Delivered early and the delivery guy was really friendly hence the decent service score. The food however was absolutely repulsive, meat looked like it had been left out for days and the smell was awful, instantly put it in the bin.

I tried this restaurant for the first time , bought 2 chicken curries , the curries are a really dark colour, but I felt the chicken had be boiled before hand making it very tender for sure but so soft it had lost all taste. I’m afraid it’s maybe my personal taste but I didn’t like it at all, neither did my wife. So I’ll pass in future on this restaurant.

Normal Chinese shut so gave this a go. Amazing!! Wee bit more expensive that other one but well worth it. Curry sauce didn’t taste like just a generic one, full of flavour. Good quantity of meat and the portions were huge, quality was absolutely fantastic and delivered in 20mins, albeit I am not that far away, Tue night around 630-7. If you haven’t, give this place a go only been once so can’t give a run down of menu but I’ll defo be back. Thanks, man!! Loved it!

Absolutely horrendous. The worst Chinese I’ve ever had. The chicken was really over cooked and dry. The sauce was runny and flavourless. £27 for some of the worst food I’ve had.

Just spent £30 and everything was delicious , two curries chips curry sauces and fried rice was 👌 . You are my new favourite

I or salt and chilli chicken rice and peking sauce. Portion size is ridiculously small for the price. Sauce is £3.80 appp and your given a small pot. Tasty but overpriced and small portions

Food was average. Curry sauce really not good.

Food was completely rotten. Chicken was dry, satay sauce was like gloop and tasted nothing like what it should have. Spring rolls were soggy. Chow Mein was tasteless and again, the sauce was gloopy. Full meal was a waste of money and went in the bin. The delivery time was the only positive thing I can say about this meal.

Service was all fine but food tasted bad. Especially the green curry which was made with jalapeño peppers.

Duck was chewy and curry sauce is really poor also my mussels came in a small tray. Need to step up their game

After reading the reviews I was really looking forward to trying this but I'm majorly disappointed. Chicken breast curry. Every bit of chicken was like eating chunks of jelly. Nothing like chicken. The sauce was runny and greasy, tasted vile. One of the worst curries I've ever had. About 4 forkfuls eaten out of both and put in the bin. The peking ribs were burnt to a cinder and bone dry. I will be asking just eat for a refund.

I ordered Hot and Sour Soup and Beef Soup West Lake Style, I have been loaded with the cold and these were just amazing. Tasted perfect and actually cleared me up great, can’t recommend this place enough.

Great tasting, light sauce, food. Not too heavy. super fresh. Delivery was estimated at an hour to an hour and a half and the food came in 15 minutes! Can’t beat that.

Had salt and chilli chicken in batter with chips and curry sauce and it was discusting I ended up throwing up. I will never order a takeaway from golden Phoenix again they should have paid me to try and eat it worse take away in Glasgow.

Had a look through the reviews before ordering and wasn't disappointed, didn't feel grotty or heavy after eating here which is unusual for Chinese. Food came early and was of good quality, would definitely order again.

Ordered at about half 3 expecting it to be around an hour, given the delivery time was estimated for that, but it arrived literally 15 minutes later! So that's on me for not realising they would be as efficient as they were, but the estimated time was roughly an hour. So it's not a criticism really. Food was exceptional - I saw a review on here saying this was a Chinese you don't feel grotty after, and I'd agree. Extremely tasty (chicken fried rice and ham fried rice) and incredibly generous portions. It actually lasted 4 meals, for £20 that's not bad. Delivery guy was friendly and, as we say, very quick. Can't really fault Golden Phoenix and the next time I want a Chinese meal, they'll be my goto.

Food was lovely. The chicken in garlic and white wine sauce was lovely. Chips were a bit undercooked for my liking.

Ordered last night, food arrived fast but the meal was very poor. Mixed starter for 2 and egg fried rice was disgusting, tasting of grease. Chicken balls and sweet and sour was fine. A lot of great reviews on here so may have just been a bad night.

Chips were old, hard and kind of cold. The main dish was good though.

Outstanding food, the chilli salt chicken with noodles and king prawn dishes are regular favourites of ours now, can’t recommend enough!

Having moved to England, this was my first Golden Phoenix in 5 years. It was just as good as I remember- Totally hit the spot !
