Lovely! Literally never had a bad meal from here. Pork chow mein is probably the best I've ever had.

Poor quality food last night chips were old the rice was not cooked properly hardly any meat , ive had good food here before !!

Disgusting meal. Over cooked duck!! It was like leather. Rice was clotted, a large lump! Dreadful. Girl manager who runs the phone has no ldea of what customer service actually is. I've never experienced such bad service ever!

Don't no what's happened but..I get house special chowmein and I'd like to no what's happened to the meat and prawns...I counted 5 peices last week when I got it...I no you normally get more than that...hopefully they will sort it..as we really like the food from here normally...

First time I've tried here and wish I'd visited sooner, food was simply outstanding and the best Chinese I've had in a long time. Friendly polite service also, I'll be back!!

Absolutely ROTTEN. Gave this place numerous chances since i live around the corner...but its the worst chinese about.

Moved into the area fairly recently and have used this place regularly for Chinese food with no problems. Today we fancied English food and ordered Chicken Maryland and Roast Chicken. What arrived was frankly the worst takeaway I've ever had. Overcooked, dry inedible chicken, along with overcooked, hard and barely warm chips. The Chicken Maryland was very thin deep fried chicken in breadcrumbs with one sausage. Gravy thick and tasteless. When we called to speak to Golden House, all we got were excuses, and we were told it was very popular! Really??? See pictures and decide if you would eat this.

We are regulars using this place and the food is always great. Staff are always lovely on the phone and they also manage to find our house when delivering which is worth 5 stars on its own!

Best chinese take away in newcastle

Although we don't live in Throckley we're happy to travel as this is our favourite Chinese takeaway in the area. Food is consistently good and the staff are friendly, they show genuine interest in their customers.

This is by far the best Chinese take away in the North East. Being in throckley it could be seen as a hidden gem that not many people know about but they have the most delicious Chinese food of any Chinese take away I have tried. The quality of the food is always consistent so you know you'll get amazing food every time. Highly recommend this place as there's nowhere else as good as this!

This use to be the best Chinese I had eaten. Ordered chicken balls, fried rice, bean sprouts and curry sauce. 1 and a half hours for it to be delivered. The whole meal went in the bin. Chicken was like rubber, rice was dry, chips were disgusting. £18.80. What a waste of money.

Sweet n sour pork balls, fried rice, chips n curry sauce. Pork was horrid, and the fried rice was a mouth full of oil tasting rice. Disgusting tbh. Chips and curry sauce is quite difficult to get wrong, but tbh it was not very good. First and last time......

Odered a simple chips and curry from here and the chips were not cooked and the curry was to thick. I was aked to bring them back and when i did i was told that there was no refund! Was told that id left the chips for too long? Was told that instead of collecting them in 10mins and leaving them for 20mins that caused the chips to be hard? Used to be a regular but not now.

This is by far our favourite Chinese takeaway in Newcastle. Had all sorts from there and food is lush. Staff are great and very appreciative of a couple quid tip.

Gorgeous food. Staff are nice and friendly too. They won't deliver food very far as they don't want their reputation tarnished by cold food. I admired their honesty!. They are now my chosen Chinese takeaway restaurant

Best Chinese takeaway I've tried in Newcastle. Please do not be disappointed that the house is in fact red not golden. This is my only criticism.

I ordered a munch box and it was absolutely awful nicest part of the meal was the curry sauce but its a very small portion this takeaway used to be so good but has massively went down hill

Up there with the worst takeaway meals I've ever ordered. If piles of salt-covered fried food is your thing then you might enjoy it. The dim sum was like rubber. A macdonalds would be a healthier/tastier option. Inedible.

I come up to the Toon to visit the wife's family and this place is the local chippy. I judge a Chinese on there Hot n Sour soup and Chicken in Kung Po, and both are 5 star!

Good Chinese with good portions

Had the most delicious & fresh salt and pepper chicken. The spring rolls were lovely too very reasonable prices and polite staff. Clean and 5 * for scores on doors is always a good sign will be back soon to try the curry thank you :)

Been going since it was took over and love it. Food is always Good, cannot fault them. Staff always helpful and changes dishes based on what I like etc.. def recommend

Used to be a great takeaway as 'The Golden House'. Opened by a couple of lads in 2016,the food was lovely,fresh and tasty,cooked to perfection. Was taken over early last year by chancers who haven't got a clue. The food's awful. Avoid this place like the plague. Now known as 'The Lucky Garden'...says it all really.

The food took over an hour for delivery. Everything was mainly tasteless - the spring rolls were just empty pastry and the fried rice was in lumps. I ordered prawn balls with sweet and sour and the batter was that thick it wasn't even cooked inside - despite them being dripping with grease. The food took that long to arrive, everything was barely lukewarm when it came and it had to be heated up. Definitely won't be using again.
