Golden House in Suffolk Coastal

Probably one of the best Chinese we have ever had. Was hot, tasted really fresh. All correct. What more can you ask for for a Saturday evening treat. To be able to pay with a card. Having to go to the cash point first was abit annoying to be honest, would make us re consider in the future how much we wanted a lovely tasty Chinese.

Great Chinese, really recommend the crispy beef and spicy carrot (it’s very crispy! Not very spicy but a nice level). Chow mein is also awesome! Woman behind the till is a bit blunt and borderline rude sometimes, not a particularly friendly vibe there but it’s a take out so it’s never really bothered me!

Wrong food. Specifically rang them to check a dish didn’t come with a sauce and it turned up with a sauce. Chicken balls undercooked, their special fried rice was horrible. Well over priced

Not the best I have had. Chips were hard and overly cooked. Could only have been re heated. Curry was a bit sloppy. Not the best experience I've ever had and will check out others in the future.

When the Chinese takeaway knows your name before asking you probably go to often but... The food is really good, excellent consistency and good prices. Thank you 😊

We visited on Saturday 28th October. Food is fantastic - 5 stars - we had Set Menu E for three people. Tasty, hot and plenty in each serving. The duck and pancakes were terrific. Seriously everyone was happy. Service was shoddy - 3 stars - they took the order and payment before telling us we had a 30 minute wait. It turned out to be 45 minutes! If we had known it was going to be 45 minutes we would not have placed our order. The staff were boarding on being brusque to customers who were starting to get irritable due to the wait and the feeling of being ignored. One guy had waited 45 minutes for a pancake roll and a chow mein! He was treated pretty discourteously when he asked where his order was. The atmosphere was what you would expect from a takeaway - 3 stars - because times have moved on and this place is stuck in the past. If service doesn't improve it will be a thing of the past. Wipe your feet on the way out! Good luck!

Sensational! Ordered on a Saturday evening at 8pm, collected the order after 10 minutes. Mixed starter was lovely, followed by a chicken chow mien and crispy chilli beef - which was amazing. Highly recommend!

Tried this take away during our 10 day holiday in Sizewell , the food is delicious , can recommend the Beef & Chilly in black bean sauce, salt & pepper chicken wings and also the chicken chowmein Singapore style, wish we could have sampled more of the dishes but 3 take aways in 10 days 😅😋 was ore than ample, maybe next time , certainly recommend The Golden House

Best Chinese takeaway in Leiston

The best Chinese takeaway we have found around here. Friendly staff and fantastic, tasty food. Real seaweed not chopped cabbage, and very reasonable prices for such good quality. We definitely won't be going anywhere else.

A decent Chinese meal. We had crispy seaweed, prawn toast, Thai chicken curry and sweet and sour vegetables with boiled rice. A little bit pricey perhaps.

My favourite chinese good portions

Amazing food and people. We stayed in Sizewell for a family getaway and was fortunate enough to stumble upon this gem of a Chinese Takeaway. Their crispy noodles are the best we've had outside of a high end Chinese restaurant from Chinatown. The Won Ton soup was equally as good. The owner was super friendly and chatty which made the experience all the more memorable. Highly recommended and would definitely visit again when we are back on Suffolk again. I always have take out from here . Tonight I decided to widen my menu choices . 40. Sweet n sour chicken balls , 52. Roast Duck sweet chili and garlic with pineapple bottom. 121. King prawn with pekin sauce. 124. Golden House special curry with Egg fried rice..185. Malaysian satay chow mein , What an amazing taste explosion on the palate. A portion of everything on the play and the sweet n sour chicken balls on the side. As authentic a meal I have had the pleasure to eat , have not had food like that since the open air restraunts like Bedo corner, the Malaysian Singapore Hotel and the market food stalls ... 110 % guys n gals top food thank you . Cost £33.50 but we have enough left for a full dinner for 2 again in the fridge. Can't wait for the next sitting

This place is one amazing Chinese take away, some of the most authentic Chinese food I've eaten outside of Hong Kong, will be ordering food from here on a regular basis from now on, very, very impressed.

Good food, really friendly and quick service, and great value for money

I would not eat it again. Rice was not Chinese, the flavors all from a bottle. I felt sick eating it.

Lovely,hot and delicious food. We recommend to our guests to try this Chinese Takeaway because we use it as a family to. We haven't been disappointed yet! You can order on line and have a look at what they have to offer, easy payment online and user friendly site . You just need to remember that they only take cash payment in the shop.

Very friendly, lovely food enjoy every meal

Ordered online Saturday night. We were advised 40 mins for collection on order. When we arrived to collect there was a queue outside. We had to wait 40 mins for our order. The owner was lovely, she was very apologetic to everyone and offered out cold drinks to everyone waiting. The food was well worth the wait too, very nice. We'll definitely order from here again... Maybe we won't rush to collect next time though! 😅

Golden House is een informeel Chinees restaurant. Het ziet er netjes en schoon uit. De bediening is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Op de menukaart staat een ruime keuze aan Chinese gerechten. Ook is er de mogelijkheid voor afhaal-maaltijden. Have a nice meal !

Best Chinese, excellent food always.

My family and friends ordered meals for six people on Friday July 7th, via the phone. The meals were prepared and ready, well within the time specified. We found the meal to be very well prepared, very tasty, and the portion sizes were very generous. It was excellent value for the money, and we would have no hesitation in obtaining chinese style food from there again.
