Blue & Berry Café in Suffolk Coastal

We visited this lovely cafe last Friday as a group of 5 men who work at the port. We have tried many food establishments in Felixstowe, and this is the best we've had so far. The young lady who took our order was friendly as was the lady at the till when we paid. We all had a 10 piece breakfast, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent & very good value for money. I also had a chocolate brownie, which was very tasty. We will be returning this Friday for another breakfast, 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Busy very nice restaurant, lots of choice and nice staff

Service was prompt and friendly. Jacket potato with Coronation Chicken was superb! Salad fresh and crisp. Lovely latte to finish it off. Love this cafe!

I have used cafe a couple of times it’s friendly staff are great , it’s well decorated , but I have to say this , I ordered ham egg and chips , expecting a nice slice of ham ! What I got was three thin round slices of processed ham which you can buy from a supermarket for £3.75 . The meal cost me £11 , So please B&B you have lost a customer for not using a good quality ham . ,,from a very disappointed customer

Went there twice with family who live that way.Nothing like the photos obviously taken to encourage people to visit but cannot cook like the professionals have for the photos. Mushrooms awful taste goodness knows what cooked in.Bacon cheap and hard no taste. Sausages cheap. So will not go there again.Even our family have stopped going. What do they think they achieve by showing photos of decent food and then serving up cheap rubbish not cooked properly to customers? Pound wise penny foolish comes to mind here.

Went in for light lunch, good menu choices, excellent food and coffee, friendly service, clean and roomy toilets. Recommended

Went yesterday for the first time and it's a lot bigger on the inside than the outside so plenty of space, staff were really kind, helpful and welcoming, great customer service, food was brilliant really enjoyed it.

Only had a flat white but it was very nice ,a couple of things 1 the table was very wobbles and the floor was dirty

Very reasonably priced and well-prepared breakfasts. Coffee is of an excellent quality. Staff are friendly and attentive. For my partner who needs gluten-free due to allergies, food the menu was very inclusive. We’ll certainly be making a return visit soon!

We come here regularly - mostly for coffee, which in my opinion is the best in Felixstowe. We occasionally have food and it is always good, excellent sausage sandwiches. We also bring friends when they stay, it's useful to let them choose their own breakfast from the reasonable selection on offer.

Friendly staff , great menu to choose from, all day breakfast and the food came out fast and was delicious. I would recommend to anyone.

Although it was within an hour of closing we were made very welcome and greeted soon after walking in. We were offered some menus and our drinks order was made. Our food arrived in good time and it was all very nice. The staff made us laugh as their hoover was making an awful noise - no one had a clear idea as to why it made such a racket but they still used it anyway - we thought it was quite funny

Waited 18 minutes to get our drinks, and when the food came, dissatisfaction is a nice word to describe the quality of the food.

Only popped in for a coffee so can't talk about the food but what I heard from other customers ordering they are very flexible when taking orders. Decor and atmosphere very welcoming

A mixed bag, filled with mostly negatives... I'll start with the few good points: + Nice Atmosphere + Fairly friendly staff + Regular (meat) breakfast was decent + Hot Chocolates were tasty, albeit not fully stirred Now for the bad bits: - Sat for at least 10/15 minutes before getting served - Then waited for another 10/15 minutes just for drinks - And finally waited for at least another 10 minutes for the food to arrive - Veggie breakfast was not good, with the sausage being a poor meat alternative, the bubble and squeak coming out cold, and overall lacking flavour You might have better luck on another day, but would probably be better off trying one of the many other cafés instead, in all honesty.

My partner & I went for lunch today. We waited 45mins for our meal to arrive by which time we'd finished our drinks. The lasagne was cold in the middle (obviously not probed for food safety) and food quantities were meagre. The Cafe was very busy (great for their business) but nobody should be expected to pay for such poor food and inadequate service. Very disappointing 😞

I picked the 7 item breakfast. Had a coffee, was £10, bargain. The food was all cooked nicely, great bread. Love place to sit in, very clean. Will be back. Will try the 10 item breakfast!

Have tried this place for breakfast a few times and its very good. The ingredients are top quality and home made. Being from the states, i love the English breakfast and look forward to coming back. I tried another place next to the whimpys yesterday, as this place was closed and it was nowhere near the quality and what gets me is it was rated higher which is impossible...imo the blue & berry has the best breakfast in felixstowe

En route to meeting nice cafe and really good breakfast

Friendly staff, perfectly cooked food and lovely coffee. Perfect.

Sat at an outside table for 10 minutes waiting for menus/service. A waitress came out, looked directly at us and smiled, then turned and went back inside. About 5 minutes went by and nobody came back out, so we left. Not sure if we were supposed to do something to get service but we weren't communicated with at all.

First visit today, we went in for coffee, americanos, very nice, not bitter. We went back later for tea and cake, which was gluten free, a bit dry but topping was good and good flavour of lemon came through. Good tea, good flavour and look. Loved the atmosphere and comfortable sofa. Really clean toilets. Would recommend

Popped in for a late breakfast with the wife and doggies, very friendly and clean cafe,had the 7 choice option great idea eat what u like ,wife had veggie ,both lovely.

Cooked breakfast.... Amazing.. I went for 7 piece and it was definetly one of the best I've had in awhile. Quick service.. Will be back!

Very disappointed with the food we received. Over cooked Yorkshire pudding. Undercooked vegetables, very small portions but the chicken breast was OK but quich and the salad were very disappointing

Ordered bacon sandwiches, think bread, plenty of bacon. Latte was hot, and tasted great. Staff were friendly and polite.

This cafe offers gluten free options that I don't usually get so I really enjoyed my lunch here last week. Their sausages are gluten free so I had a sausage sandwich with gf brown bread. My husband (who isn't gf) had the same and said it was very nice. I also had a gf Brownie which was obviously homemade (usually pre-packed). My daughter and I were inspired to try to replicate them at home. I also noted that the toilet there is well set up for people with limited mobility. This will be my Felixstowe cafe of choice from now on.

FABULOUS CAFE!!!!! amazing service, food arrived quickly and was delicious. i loved the decor, and also the tv showing the news! i ordered soup and it was so tasty, and a good spoon too

First visit and very impressed. Love the vibe, its airy and open atmosphere and loads of tables inside and out. I enjoyed a 7 piece build a breakfast and my partner had the vegan breakfast. We both enjoyed a cappuccino. Service with the coffee was within a minute and not too long a wait for the food which was very good quality. We will come again.

A decent breakfast, good quality beans. Sausage a bit over cooked. Nice bread. Good coffee in regular and large sizes. Servers were nice and good at their jobs. Nice and spacious.

Safe place to eat and staff were very attentive. Coffee is good. Partner had "Hunters Chicken" and thought it was tasty and well cooked. I had "Ham, egg and chips and found the eggs greasy so a reasonable place to eat.

Don't go here if you are hungry!!! £6.45 for a salad with barely any salad. Also asked for no onion (lucky not due to allergy) but still got a surprise half way through! Panini was okay think there was more salad with that than the actual salad itself!! Very skimpy portions Sorry but will not return!

Good food and nice service. They got our order mixed up but I guess it was because it was Saturday and they were busy as the food and drinks also took ages. The staff on the till were really nice and everyone was polite and friendly. Although it is not advertised as dog friendly (not that I saw), dogs are welcome inside and out as I also searched this online before hand.

Lovely cafe on the main street , enjoyed a breckfast for reasonable price. Would have been a four star review but concerning a dog was wondering around the tables inside when we arrived .The dog headed into the kitchen area! , if your allowing dogs please make customers aware with signage on door as some customers have allergies and prefer not to eat around animals.

I have visited B&B quite afew times. The last two meals weren't as good.Only excellent when the chef is there. Service isn't as friendly. Spoke to the owners mother who was helping out.The staff need to take afew tips from her customer care service. Thankyou

Great staff and the food was excellent; generous portions, quick and efficient service. I had the vegetarian breakfast and also got a lovely wedge of cake to go . There is a good selection of gluten-free and vegan food. Definitely worth a visit.

I have been here several times. Most welcoming good food and dog friendly !

The only downside, we sat at a table near the counter, when people came in and ordered several Takeaway coffees the noise from the coffee machine was really obtrusive.

Had coffee here this morning with my sister. Very nice and hot. Toilets clean. We went back to have a lunchtime snack, brie and cranberry panini. Well, it wasn't a panini but a squashed baguette! Nor did it have cranberry as advertised. 1 very thin piece of streaky bacon and an even smaller slice of brie. When the waitress was informed, the 'paninis' were taken away and a large amount of cranberry put in, and reheated The amount of cranberry was excessive, point made we will definately NOT be returning.

Nice breakfast, friendly staff

Being a bank holiday not everywhere was open that Monday but we thought this should be fine. It was not a good start when we were not permitted to sit where we chose, even though the cafe was never full. Beyond that the service was polite enough but when the food arrived my egg was hard, the mushrooms were cold and the bacon undercooked. I still fancied a pudding but could not have my first choice, so had the sticky toffee pudding, which was all right but rather expensive at £5.75. As value for money it was not outrageous but I would say one can eat better in Felixstowe. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with the cafe and I may have been unlucky, so perhaps readers should form their own judgement.

A lovely little eaterie. First time for us. Delicious hot food and happy helpful staff. 3 of us had the liver and bacon with chips and 1 had the chicken melt. All of us very very happy with the dinner. We all had after which were just as good. Lovely atmosphere and beautifully clean. Just the one negative and that was a dog. It looked as if it had been brought through via the counter with its owner. She proceeded to eat her plate of food and the dog jumped up at the table. The girl proceeded to feed the dog with her fingers and then her fork. I'm sorry, I love dogs, but they should not be allowed in restaurants, it is not at all hygienic. This is the reason I only gave 4 stars. Although everything else was perfect, this has put me off going again

Nice comfortable place for lunch today

When searching for ‘gluten free cafe Felixstowe’, Blue & Berry Café was at the top of the list, and just so happened to be the closest to where I was at that time. I popped in and on asking about GF catering, they pointed me to a selection of cakes (coffee and walnut, and brownies) on display, and handed me a menu while informing me of GF bread. The sandwich selection all sounded delicious, and I opted for the honey roast ham and cheese with GF bread. This is the first establishment I’ve been to in all my 20+ years of being gluten free where I’ve been asked if I’d like white or brown GF bread! What a pleasant change to have a choice! I also opted for a cappuccino. Expecting a short wait for my drink and sandwich, I sat down and got out my knitting. I was halfway through the first line when my coffee arrived, and by the time I was finishing that same line my sandwich arrived! Very prompt service indeed. The staff were lovely, the café comfortable and well decorated. It’s been a gel of a find, and I’ll be sure to return on my next visit to Felixstowe!

Only complaint.....had to wait 50mins for our food! But when it came was really nice. Helpful friendly staff who were helpful when they were told I was diabetic .
