Golden House in Malvern Hills

Very late. Had to wait almost 2 hours for the food.

My food never turned up I’ve tried to ring the restaurant more than 40 times and it’s been busy

I did not receive my order!! When trying to call the restaurant, for over 30 mins, I couldn’t get through to anyone to speak to and I had to make my own way to make a complaint!! I want my money back!

Everything was awful. The chicken looked slimey, anemic and probably from a tin. The chow mein was full of wet beansprouts with hardle minimal noodles. We also ordered a vegatable curry whcih wasnt a chinese curry. Worst chinese ive ever had

Second time ordering from here and can’t fault the food. Arrived on time and everything was perfect. Will definitely order from them again!

order was rediculously late and no one answered the phone and I ended up driving to the restaurant to find out my order had just left absolutely shocking experience

The food was hot and the starters were excellent The Kung pao chicken was a bit bland so will definitely try something else next time

Okay, I forgive you 😉 I swore never again after I placed an order last year which took several hours to arrive and couldn't contact restaurant to resolve. However chanced an order again this evening as really fancied their lemon chicken. Delivery was within acceptable timescales and i am happy to report food was superb. Piping hot and full of flavour.

Didn’t read the delivery instructions

The food was delicious. Delivered piping hot and so tasty. Quality ingredients. The prawns were fab. Great portion sizes with lots of meat and sauce. Not high in msg. No salt thirsts after. Probably one of the best Chinese take always we’ve had.

Food was very nice but ordered beef with cashew nuts and got chicken with cashew nuts, asked for no mushrooms but got no veg at all

Best Chinese in town for delivery, really great food but constantly late to deliver, maybe 10 minutes sometimes an hour !

After a long delivery time from order to then turning up a further 40 minutes after it’s just a waste of time. kids went past hungry to tired waiting so long. The actual Food to be honest is not that great... 80% of food ended up in the bin.

Great food, always use this place. The only gripe and it's a big one is delivery times. When putting the order together it's always 40-50 minutes but then when the order is accepted it goes up to 90 minutes !

Didnt like the finger rolls i thought they would be vegetable tasted as if there were tuna in it not nice the chips werent good in all it was nothing special

We didn't really mind it coming late and the food was all excellent as usual. The best Chinese takeaway we know in the area.

Unfortunately our food did not even arrive, the app didn’t even get to preparing and then suddenly jumped to ‘enjoy your food’ that we didn’t even get. Very disappointed on this occasion as we have ordered at Golden House for years with no issue. I am expecting a full refund as we did not get any product this evening. Tried phoning but user always busy, didn’t get a text response either which was requested. In the end had to cook our own food and eat a lot later than we would like too.

Been trying to contact takeaway for over 20 minutes. Phone continually engaged. Delivery very late and would have loved to speak to someone about it.

Ordered 5.45pm and still waiting now at 7.50pm. Their phone is constantly engaged so I have no idea what went wrong and I am diabetic and now starving hungry. This was supposed to be my new job treat and I am out of pocket and still hungry. Will never use again.

We've previously ordered from Golden House & very impressed by their quality of service. We had no quarms when we ordered our Friday night treat. The food came within 25 minutes of placing our order which was great as we were all feeling very hungry!

first time ordering from here, very impressed, lovely hot tasty food, the special curry had lots of content and the delivery driver was quick and friendly, I can definitely recommend 👍👍

Genuinely the tastiest Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had! Great quality.

Order placed at 6.50pm. Due to arrive between 8.15 and 8.35pm. According to app food was out for delivery around 40mins before saying it was delivered but we still had no food. Rang them. To be fair, the guy who answered the phone was very help. Said my food was about 10/15 mins away. Did arrive within this time at 9.10pm. As for the quality of the food, we won't be ordering from there again. Never seen a chicken chow mein look like. All pretty abysmal. A waste of £52.10.

Food is very mediocre, but delivery time was absolutely awful, over a two hour wait time & was 45 minutes late, waiting 2 hours & 45 minutes for a very poor Chinese!!

Made my order at half past 5 and the food arrived at 7:45. Luke warm had to be reheated. When the delivery guy arrived I said do you want the code and he said nah i don’t need it.

The food tasted awful for starters the rice had conjealed together, the chicken balls tasted foul, the crispy beef was more like crispy batter we could not find the beef, the chicken sezchuan was mainly vegetables hardly any chicken, rhe curry was disgusting, the vegetable spring rolls were underdone and tasted horrible the chicken chow mein was the only thing that tasted remotely ok.

gunna be honest I brought 50 Quid's worth of food and the only think I found nice was the chow mein everything else just tasted weird or bland not for me unfortunately

The chow meins were lacking any flavour at all even the satay one didn’t taste of much. The prawn toast and spring rolls were quite soggy. The peppercorn chips however are some of the best tasting I’ve had in a long time. But unfortunately the rest wasn’t that great

Ordered at 8.30 arrived at 10.30 been calling the restaurant since 9.30 but it's been engaged. Food is cold.

The restaurant suggests 1 hour for order to be delivered or as soon as possible, if you opt for as soon as possible once you have paid you are quoted 90 minutes. The food was cold and congealed fat on the lamb. Nice food, just too long for delivery every single time I order.

Food is not good quality at all , the chicken was awful!! I’ve never tasted chicken with that texture before, I’d much rather pay more for good quality ingredients than waste money again . Sorry I won’t be back

Really tasty food, arrived in great time and the delivery man was very good, after I accidentally had my food sent to my mum's house and couldn't collect due to having driving and mobility restrictions from foot surgery. Thank you 😊

The batter on the prawns & chicken balls was very thick & very little chicken

Every dish was delicious, waited an hour for food but it was Saturday night and was informed of wait prior to ordering. Arrived piping hot and was worth the wait.

When we want a takeaway, we always order from Golden House. We prefer them to any other in Malvern.

This is saying I've received my food and I haven't yet. Estimated time was 20mins ago. I've payed online for it Can't comment on food as haven't received it

Took almost 2 hours to arrive, some of the food smelt so odd and tasted even odder

The duck had so much fat it was inedible..

Disasterous delivery .. didn't arrive, JE said delivered 30 mins after due time, then JE then said delayed, then we phoned and found out driver couldn't have delivered to the right house. 2.25 hours after delivering, the food finally arrived. The food however was absolutely excellent and the restaurant sorted out the problem of its driver's making, not theirs and apologised profusely. So, excellent customer service in the end. Thank you.

Asked for vegie spring rolls and got meat, but apart from that, all was good 👍

Fast delivery. Delicious food with fresh tasty vegetables and the food was hot on arrival. Delivery driver was friendly and polite too. I will definitely be ordering from here again.
