The food is very good I think I rely like it

Spoke on the phone, the lady on the other line was very helpful in terms of payment and delivery. Ordered on their website which was simple and easy, food was on time and we had a few issues in terms of finding the right house but thats our fault for living on a farm in the middle of nowhere! 😂 the gentleman delivering was lovely, considerate and patient. The food was beautiful and came hot, good quality and in good condition. Lovely place! Lovely people! Lovely food!

Cannot trust this takeaway. Member of the household has a nut allergy which was stated when ordering, allergy is only if consumed. However, when the food arrived arrived it had nuts in it ! This was never disclosed in the allergens section of the dish or when ordering. Takeaway then refused to refund the dishes with nuts in so went to waste.

Number ONE Chinese takeaway!!! Always fresh and tasty food. We order only from them. Staff is very nice and kind :)

Food was fine but not hot when it arrived. Had to pay extra for delivery which I thought was included in my online payment.

Awful…do not waste your money! Rude customer services and the food was undercooked and tasted like burnt oil…so many better take aways…will never use again!!!!!!

Don’t get the salt and pepper tofu it’s disgusting maybe the worst tofu I’ve ever had I gagged and spit it out the two times I’ve ordered from here. It’s too dry and flavourless.

We have been getting Takeaway from Golden Horse for years. Their food is consistently good. Also if you need to ask for any changes to your dish, (because of dietary requirements), they are always accommodating

Working in newmarket for the night. Ordered a thai green curry, vegetable spring rolls, egg fried rice and prawn crackers from here. Really pleasantly surprised. Would order again. Was cash only so make sure you've got some.

Absolutely appalling customer service, vile food! We received our take away delivery, dished up some but realised the majority of the food tasted of burnt stale oil! I contacted the shop to express that we had barely eaten any! Just had tried what we had! And was told they replace oil daily and that maybe I didn’t know what it tasted like! And they recommended I tried another shop! After spending £46 not the response I was looking for! Contacted food hub who contacted the take away and they said they would send delivery driver out to collect the food, didn’t realise they wanted me to scrape the left overs that we had already served! So the delivery driver stood on my doorstep and took pictures of the bagged up food that I was asked to return! He then knocked back on my door to hand me back the food and said his boss was not going to refund anything! I said please take it back to your boss! He said if he was the boss he would issue a refund as said he could see the meal has not been enjoyed! Poor man! Contacted the shop once again and was greeted by the woman with absolutely no customer service skills! Refusing as the pictures they had seen I had eaten over half! Which is not the case at all! Contact food hub once again who managed to get me a partial refund! still not happy with the outcome and would never eat from here again! Food vile!

Golden Horse is fairly far from where I live, but my husband and I love the food so much that we order from here every time! It's better than anything closer to us, the food is always delicious, arrives hot despite the distance, and never disappoints! The delivery man is always kind, too!

Good food, decent prices and they are not wasting money making the place look fancy. Looking forward to ordering from them again. No dine in option, which again I think allows them to concentrate on great takeaways

Only had a few things from here so far and tbh not one thing has been wrong. Not just saying it but the chicken fried rice was just how I like it. Will definitely be ordering more.

Used to buy here every time as the delivery is quick and the food tastes great, but three of us had lousy diarrhoea when buying two times in a row

Ordered from here online and the menu online is so great, it shows all the allergens and dietary requirements underneath which is so helpful. The food was ready in 15 minutes and they even followed instructions we gave in a comment before checking out! The food was delicious and good size portions. Highly recommend and would definitely order again. Amazing for vegans!!!

The best Chinese food in Newmarket, just wish they accepted cards

This is the best Chinese takeaway in Newmarket by far, the one very close across the market square is a disgrace, but the golden horse is excellent. I order food from the golden horse every week.

Ordered from them without realizing the road to ours was closed due to an accident. They walked a half mile in the pouring rain and pitch black to deliver our order. The food tasted great!

I ordered from this Chinese take away (Golden Horse) tonight at 7:40pm 7th Aug 2021.using there online app Foodhub. the app has a step by step guide to my order, it was indicating my food would be ready in 15mins (As you can see in this photo the order is still in the preparing phase). Its' now 9:45pm. That's not he end of it. I went to collect the order some 25 mins after I ordered it only to be told they did not have the order. I was a bit perplexed as I had already paid online for it. Then I thought perhaps is was the other Chinese in town (As I did look at their menu), so as my order apparently was not placed with Golden Horse, it must of been my mistake and was at the Golden bowl- so went over there to see if it was there - nope it wasn't so went back to the Golden Horse and asked again where was my food, again the girl on the front desk said they didn't have it after a little time came back out of the kitchen saying there was no order there, went back in and came back out and asked me did I order it on the phone or online. I said on line approx. 35 mins ago. Went back in the kitchen then came back out and said they have it and it will be ready in 2 mins. Some 10 mins later the order arrived. Took it home started to eat it and my wife said her chicken was under cooked, I tried mine and also concurred it also was under cooked (Even though I started to eat mine). So had to resort to reheating both meals in a frying pan to ensure they were cooked through. So it looks though they had lost the order and cooked it whilst I was waiting (10mins) I am not looking forward to the next 24 hours at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only used them because my preferred Chinese take away was on holiday Studland Chinese is much more organized and cooked throughout. Will never use Golden horse (This shambles of a takeaway ever again).

Only just moved to the area had this Chinese twice already it’s absolutely brilliant and a great price! Best part is they deliver super fast and when I have hungry kids it’s just the best. Thanks so much! Also they always sneak in something like fortune cookies or prawn toast! Really is the best in Newmarket

Food is not nice there ordered special fried rice order came out in 2 mins ,how can they cook in 2 mins ,got home tasted terrible ,will not go back there out of 10 -1out of ten

What can I say, just order food, very disappointed, had to chuck 3 quarters of it away, always used this Chinese takeaway, gone down I'll since been taken over, different sauces and flavour, not nice, dont recommend it!

Told food would take 30-45 mins delivery, rang after waiting an hour, was told driver is on his way back and then will be with you!? 1 hour 20 mins later food arrived, it was vile. Dried up, clearly been on a hot plate waiting for delivery. We threw away and re ordered elsewhere. If you want a nice meal DO NOT buy from them. Waste of money, vile food!

Waste of money, none of the chicken dishes were cooked properly, pink and slimey. Crispy shredded chilli beef was like chewing on rubber. Sauces were thick and lumpy. Agree with another comment on here wouldnt feed to my dog!! 3/4 went in bin!!! Only thing edible were chips, prawn crackers and fortune cookies. Wont use again as i value my health.

Very tasty food and fast delivery.

I would have to say this is the worst chinese we have ever had. The chicken in the curry was slimey I wouldn't even feed it to my dog the only good part of it was the peas. Rice is all clumpy and sauces way to thick and lumpy. Will never order from here again. Extremely disappointed and a waste of money.
