Golden Grill in Southwark

Food is really good. Staff are crap, can’t smile and have no manners, only interested in money certainly not service. Witnessed older lady, think the mum,walking in picking up rubbish off floor, I thought that was great, and then handling food, didn’t see her washing her hands and I was watching. Shame as food tastes good

Myself, partner and teenage son, went along for a takeaway, the portions were huge, the food was out of this world, and the service was absolutely faultless. We was chatting to the owner and his brother, for a Friday evening during lockdown the orders were coming in thick and fast, very friendly, quick, service. We Will definitely be coming back to this place!! All COVID restrictions were in place, I.e social distancing, workers wearing correct PPE/masks. Spotless grills and kitchen area. We have found our new hotspot

I’ve been coming here for the past year now. The new refurbishments means there’s nice tables and chairs to eat at. The chips are always nicely done and as with the fish never too oily. Yesterday I had the chicken shish wrap, hands down the best wrap I’ve ever had. Needless to say I’ll be ordering the same again for the foreseeable!

Very good quality fish and chips at standard prices. Clean, pleasant surroundings and you can eat in or out. Only small downsides are you can wait a while in there, but the food is worth it. Also, no signal if you're on EE while you wait, which is kind of annoying if there's stuff you need your phone for while you're waiting. Lastly, I do think the men need to clean their uniforms a bit as their white coats often look grubby and it puts my partner off buying from there. Luckily for them I can see past that - their fish and chips is excellent.

After using a few other local Kebab shops we was recommend The Golden Grill. We gave it a try and been using it since, always lovely food and friendly staff. We've sat in and had take aways you can't go wrong here.

The delicious kebab shop, very friendly people. I like this shop and fish and chips amazing good. Fresh food and low price.

Cocina turca con fish Andrés chips, hamburguesas y un poco de todo. Probamos varias cosas y todo estaba muy bueno. Éramos 4 familias con un total de 15 personas y sus maletas y nos atendieron eficazmente, con un buen servicio en la especial con los niños. Bastante limpio.

I went to Golden Grill and fish bar on spa rd on 18th September 3018 at approx 8.30pm. I have heard things abt the shop before but liked the food and live close so I go anyway. I purchased 1chicken and chips and 3 hot wings. I went home and sat down after a hard days work, started eating a few chips and was shocked to see a huge dead fried insect inside the chicken box, it was crispy and black (I have pictures). I am not a fussy eater nor do I ever leave reviews in fact I have never left a review of anything!.. Having found the huge insect I proceeded back to the shop, kept my cool even though I was horrified. I went in and showed them the insect in the box and they denied it straight away at first, said “this can happen, it happens everywere” then a young boy in there roughly 19-20 started shouting saying “so what, he don’t care do what you like” so that’s why I’m writing this! I didn’t get an apology! Until I informed them they haven’t apologised!.. I am not the type of person to do this rubbish but an FRIED INSECT! Only to deny it?! I have heard of stories like this since I was young but never ever honestly believed them! Now I have seen it for myself.. I go there which I was trying to explain to them before the guy started going nuts! I live in the area why would I waste my time. If you are not put off by food and want to look at it yourself I am leaving pictures here.. it only had 1 wing on it, I haven’t checked the box so I don’t know if there’s anymore in there but what I do know is that everyone in that shop had there food in the same oil.

I dived in here to get out of the cold while waiting for a friend and have a cup of tea I decided to have a small kebab as well. The kebab came up on a plate with a mixed salad. and a very nice toasted bread not pitta on the side. Two delicious dressings came with it. I m not a great Kebab fan but this was delicious. They also do shish and fish and chips as well. The restaurant is small but clean. The staff are very friendly and l understand it is very busy in the evenings. At £4.80 and 80p for a large mug of tea it was very good value and a large portion so if you are in the area and fancy a kebab you could do a lot worse than take a look in here
