Our go to chinese for over 25 years. Highly recomend

Ever since ownership changed, the food is below par, often cold when arrived (2 hours waited for delivery 😡) I lived in Asia for nigh on 20 years, this food is only an approximation of Chinese food, not like the real thing, very dissatisfied with this place, not recommended !

Just got mixed grill and the steak is off taste like cheese, one bite and spat it out, first and last time I will ship there.

We have used these for years and its been great and the food normally lovley. However i ordered last night and the food was disgusting. All you could taste was salt. And i mean as if they had emptied the salt cellar into it. We couldnt even eat it thats how bad it was. Was to late to complain but i will be on the phone today. £29 which i want back. I believe its changed owners.

Randomly ordered my meal tonight minus a menu. Gentleman on phone was very accommodating with lots of patience.... Baring in mind that it is New Years eve.... I got my order within 30 minutes WOW.... I ordered special curry without onions, and prawn toast. I have to say these were all absolutely DELICIOUS... well worth the money,.... Down side is that I ate the lot... HAPPY FATTY NEW YEAR TO ME 🤣.... I will be back... 😁

I know it's a Chinese takeaway, but if chips are on the menu, they need to be good, awful!!, pre cooked, don't bother

Been using them for years. Never yet have I had bad food. Always piping hot, full of meat and very good sauces. Decent prices, delivered quickly, very good portions. We definitely recommend and buy from them again.

Ordered Chinese takeaway foods yesterday, their service was excellent. Food was ready in 10-15 mins, you can enjoy hot food immediately & freshly. The taste is so great and suitable for all gourmet!!! You will NEVER disappointed with Golden Gate!

I’m very disappointed when ordered my food and it arrived and was uncooked and I had terrible customer service they also refused to refund me. I would not recommend this takeaway to anyone!

I used to try this takeaway shop several times. Generally, I would say that the dishes are delicious and as good as that in the Hong Kong’s restaurants. Especially, I like the curry dishes and honey dishes. With the fried rice and potato chips, the taste is excellent. This could wash away my homesickness. I will surely order dishes in this shop again in the future.

Delicious food! The staffs are nice and polite. Singapore Chow Mein and Honey Chicken are highly recommend.

If i could give a zero star i would, ordered £43 worth of food for our family after doing a 14 hour shift for someones meal to be wrong and they were left were no food was totally unacceptable and to top it off we phoned up to complain even though we repeated the order 4 times! For them to laugh at us when we said the order was wrong! Absoloutly disgusting! No customer satisfaction at all!

Tonight I got a takeaway from here the chips were old nd dry my beef nd crispy noodles were soggy nd disgusting terrible food never go there again dnt know how they can sell food like that disgraceful!!!!!

Disappointed with old chips that were like bricks paid for 2 meals that were fresh please cook chips on order .....

Friendly staff,cheap as chips,definitely worth a try.
