We ordered from a caravan site on a friday night. They missed a portion of cheesy chips. We ordered again on the sunday night and added to the notes that they had previously missed an item off and could they make sure the order is right as we can't travel to them to sort it out. They STILL missed off 2 items and we got a chilli sauce instead? Very disappointing, especially since we had added a note to this order. We could have complained but decided we'd just ask them to make sure it was definitely correct the second time. It's a shame as the food was alright.

the chips where hard the pop corn chicken had hair on it and the garlic was disgusting

A good takeaway with very good prices and service. The half half pizza we got tonight was delicious and it was well cooked with heaps of toppings on. I'd recommend here to my friends 👌

Pizza came with a raw base my partner has got food poisoning being sick every where nd a cheesy garlic bread never got sent out so rang up nd they said their to busy they weren’t sending it or giving a refund for the missing food WORST PIZZA SHOP IN THE SR8 area raw pizza dough in the pictures

We ordered from her tonight we got a kebab wrap and a chicken kebab got to say the new chicken is just amazing chips was beautiful and the garlic so tasty. Kebab wrap was a good size and tasted beautiful. Staff very friendly always happy to help. Will be back as the chicken is amazing

Ordered here a few weeks ago, ordered a small mixed wrap as usually, a decent size normally and a small chips, prices gone up and portion size gone down disappointing. Give them the benefit of the doubt, tried again tonight, ordered a large chips which we can't normally eat and we did, and a small chicken tikka wrap, so disappointing so small wasn't big enough to share which we normally do, we've ordered here for years and not sure if we will order again.

Well it's that time where I call out the local chippy golden fry, so on 28/04/2023 I made an order through just eat they Didn't have 2 of the 3 Items I ordered so they called and told me they'd refund me, they didn't so I emailed just eat thinking they might be of some help nope... actually more useless than the shop, just eat said I was too late to request refund called the guys back waited about 4 hours to speak to the manager who assured me he would have me refunded gave my bank details and would you guess they didn't bother so I gave them a few days and then a couple more just to make sure they arent just slow. and now here we are sorry golden fry I used to be a customer but not if you're going to Rob me it was only a daft 8 quid or something but nahh you've cheesed me off now keep the 8 quid it's the last of my cash you'll see I'll be taking my custom to more reputable companies that don't rip off their customers.

Always order from here. Portion size Is very generous and thoroughly enjoy the food. Staff are always polite and friendly too!

Great food hot tasty would deffo recommend fresh daily portion sizes have increased I visited on a saturday give them a try please check prices as last visit prices had gone up and not well portrayed so ask make sure food still great

Absolutely amazing portions, my favourite is the wraps because I can’t find a wrap anywhere els local that can hold the amount filling you get inside the wrap, I gave it a 5 star review based on ordering from this take away over a period of 8 years on and of and tonight was absolutely amazing after not ordering for a few months, think I’ll order tomorrow now! I’d just like to mention I do use all other takeouts local to me and golden fry is my favourite, Ive definitely missed my wrap like *****💯💥

We have used golden fry over the years at first the food that we received was tasty and generous portion sizes after a break from this takeaway we decided to try it again last night and what a disappointment where should I start the portion size is poor the food quality is no longer there cold hard chips kebab meat has no taste as for the cheesy chips and garlic there is no taste of garlic and what cheese that was tasteless I said it before but after this experience we will never return to this takeaway what a waste of £17

Just had what I can only describe as the worst fish and chips ever! Had you asked me to review this place 6 months ago I would have raved about the fish and chips. Fish was either not very fresh or who ever had filleted it had cut the bile duct, very bitter tasting and over cooked to the point of the being dry. We ordered the "jumbo" fish and git what was more their "normal" size fish. Chips were thin, anaemic and tasteless. The free pot of curry tasted watered down as well.

Absolutely terrible service. First time using golden fry and wont be using again placed an order via uber eats and was told at 8:30 the food was on its way by 9:30 the food turned up and was freezing cold. Called the restaurant and told them to be told on the phone that he was not bothered. Absolutely Shocking service

40 mins late with order,food was cold and didn’t Taste nice

Kebab wraps were ok. Then it goes downhill. Chicken Parmo was awful and couldn’t eat it. Rubbery / chewey ‘chicken’? Not had a Parmo (or chicken) as bad before and couldn’t eat it. Chicken burger wasn’t much better. First and last time. Won’t be buying from here again.

Food is beautiful but customer service is dreadful, one of the men who works here asks me to go to the shops to get him a drink when they have drinks in there. I told him to go himself and he said he doesn't get two minutes so why doesn't he go before work or on he's break? I forever feel awkward going in now as soon as I enter he's like (you've forgot me drink) go yourself and stop being lazy anxiety is through the roof!

Must of ordered on a bad day. While it came early and the fish was cooked perfectly the chips were not even cooked and looked very pale so had to be thrown out. Which is a shame cause they usually do good

Obviously in need of a reorganisation face lift. The place is clean and the menu is very extensive but if you want a delivery it's chaos. They don't know the area and the service is slow. That said if you can collect it yourself the food is ok. The prices are not to bad to be honest but staff personally could work on customer service and satisfaction. A good tip.

Ordered fish and chips twice peas and curry delivery drivers female friend rang my mobile as they could not find address she was insistent she was in my street even though I was stood looking for them and there was no cars in street she continued to say she was finally 5mins + later a male came running from top of street with my order if i wasn't already annoyed when I opened i found a bag of black scraps for chips and fish just stuck to paper the only edible part was curry and peas I will never order from here again and don't advise anybody else too.

We go here quite often (Usually late on a Tuesday night) for food and it’s usually the pizza combo meal where you get a pizza, chips and drink. Always tastes amazing and it’s good to have a chat when we go in too.

This was my goto place for food. However as with many places lately they have reduced portion size and put price up. Still nice food apart from chicken parmo. No bechemel sauce which is a must

Been going here for years on and off well to start where mmm mmm quality of service has gone down hill a ordered a chicken wrap with chips salad and chilli and garlic sause told it would be an hour turned up 1hour and 40 mins later cold and not much chicken possibly 2 pieces phoned the shop I was offered a new order considering it was gone 9.30 pm now I decided to decline and have baked beans on toast I must admit normally spot on but the delivery service is garbage kneeds looking into sorry but it's putting your business into a very bad place

Ordered late due to work. Ordered large mixed wrap salad and chilli £5.50 +£1.50 delivery tipped driver £2.00.£9.00 for a stone cold wrap with two bits of chicken disappointed?

This was the second time we've ordered from here and twice they have said the same, they had the wrong phone number for us so couldn't deliver, will not be ringing back agaim

We went Horden for a weekend not knowing much about the village. We ordered 18" pepperoni and chicken pizza and the price was around £16/17. When the delivery came we were shocked to get another I think 10" garlic pizza with a can of coke. It was amazing, The price and the taste too.They provide halal pizza on request. Make sure you ask otherwise its not halal. Thank you for the fav deal. I so recommend this place.

Ordered a wrap and a parmo from golden fry got the food and the wrap is cold. Rang back told them I got told there will be another 1 straight away waited another hour no show and asked for my money back told me I wasn't getting my money back and put the phone down. If I was to tell any 1 were not to order from after going there for over 4 years that's the service I get. After I was being politely to them! 😠

Food cold tastes discussing told put no salad in box still did don't listen to you on the phone waste of money !!! Will be take food to trading standards and food agency see what they say waste of money and time not happy what so ever I said food should be hot they reply was it should be warm no when food is cooked it should be hot not warm so been given left overs !!! Absolutely horrible never again rook far to long it was cold got a mixed wrap don't no what was in it but found bit into a bone the parmo was small n horrible the chilli sauce is tin plum tomato sauce the chips felt like there been in mud every time you has one the salad is far too dry and not fresh so never again!!!!

Horrible customer service, Very slow delivery service (waited 1 hour then called, was told it had left the shop 30 mins ago, when it arrived it was cold). Kebab wraps are massive and tasty, fish and chips are also nice.

I ordered a chicken wrap with lettuce and garlic a portion of chips, it took an hour and 45 minutes to deliver the wrap was a kebab wrap with no chicken, it was colder than stone and the driver walked round my estate 4 times and I still had to get ready and look for the delivery driver in his car. Never again

I ordered kebab meat chips salad and a pitta.with garlic sauce. It all came in one container with garlic already on food. It was cold. Food looked like it had been through a mixer. Revolting. Won't be ordering again

Delish parmo wrap decent size shame about an hour wait sometimes longer

Very disappointed after a recommendation from a friend..The Large Cod and Chips comes with a"free" carton of either curry or peas..The large Cod had heavy batter and was about 20% batter.The chips were not very crunchy and the "curry" was so watery it barely tasted or looked like curry.Also people are constantly ringing in orders and it takes a while to get served..I have no problem with the staff,some of whom were immigrants as mentioned by another poster,and were polite but constantly on the go..The area is quite "iffy" and "sketchy" and felt unsafe leaving my car parked around the corner..Fish 2 out of 10...Chips 3 out of 10..Curry Sauce 0 out 10 Price was £5.20 and felt it was poor value..
