Golden Fisheries & Pizza & Kebabs Wingate in County Durham

I firstly want to say a huge thank you to Cam the owner. Your customer service is 2nd to none. Having wrote a poor review last week, i was suprised when u phoned to talk about the review. U listened, u were pleasant and very apologetic. Not ever had any business owner make the effort to contact me and find out about my experience last time. It shows u care n want yo make things better. Point extra for that. You promised us great food and you surpassed our expectations tonight. Chicken Kiev pizza and a vegetarian pizza were spot on. Plenty of topping, pizza base cooked to perfection. I asked if u would cook chips till crispy and you delivered perfect chips, uniform in size with fluffy insides but crispy on outside.....wow! You sent us chicken tikka and it was so nice that it was wolfed down by us all before we even had pizza boxes open. We will be back. It just shows that some owners do listen and want to rectify any issues the customer has. Thank you Golden Fisheries for what I'd say is definitely best takeaway weve had in years.

Food from here is top notch the tikka is amazing and the customer services are amazing very friendly

What an absolute delight, I ordered fishcake, chips and mushy peas, the mushy peas were all mushy and tasted like peas mushed up so that was nice, the obviously hand cut chips were definitely delicately deep fried and tasted like chips which was another pleasant suprise! The fishcake wasn't as expected as I imagined it to be a fish with cream or between a victoria sponge but have to say the lightly battered coating around the fish works a treat ! All topped off with a delicate sprinkle of salt and pepper wrapped in what appears to be paper which was also a pleasant suprise on opening. Many thanks golden fisheries team . Oh the delivery driver was kind and polite beaming with enthusiasm over the other items available on the menu ! Have to say I have never heard of gravy jam but may try that next time .

Woman behind the counter with the blonde hair had an extremely bad attitude and was unwelcoming and rude. Food was greasy, unpleasant and stale. Would not recommend and I would certainly not return.

Shocking experience. Most of order is wrong e.g. chicken instead of scampi. Out of date free bottle of pop. Mushy peas are brown? Ordering and collecting was an awful experience - blonde haired woman behind the counter was so rude and enough to put me off returning. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Tried this place months ago and to be honest we wasn't a fan it was average at best but after reading the reviews again though tonight we would give it another try after the place we was going to was shut and I'm afraid to say it's not improved any from our last visit definitely alot better abit further out if you have transport and don't mind a quick trip out

Do not recommend food was that greasy it was inedible taste was grease food was bland greasy nothing went in the bin never again over £20 and got home had a pot noodle outrageous

Always amazing food 🥘 always piping hot , staff always polite, delivery driver is so chatty and kind, it was said Delivery was to be between 35-45 minutes, which turned up 25 minutes later which was a bit of an inconvenience as I was balls deep in the wife at that time.

Fast delivery food is always hot and delicious. Definitely recommend to others. Staff all friendly and always welcoming

Amazing food, my partner is the pickiest eater and loves it here, the food is always hot, the staff are always polite and delivery is always great, the chips always comes hot, the burgers are made perfectly, cheese even melted on the bun, the portions are brilliant, this is going to be our only take-away, the kabab is amazing:D

Ordered fish n chips ..chips last weeks horrible told him about this before n blamed the girls n never charged me for chips but probs blame girls agen n fish was full of grease all family had bad stomach n shites dont know how they get away with it paid good money for rubbish never again ........this was saturday 5.30pm on the 9th feb this has happend twice now you applogised last time said it will not happen again

Ordered two kebab WRAPS but instead they gave us two bags of chips with meat and went back to complain about not giving us WRAPS and they gave us two warm wraps and told is to make the wrap ourselves at home. Disgusted....

This was the only chippy open in my area I'm so pleased now that it was as my food was delicious

Excellent menu something for everyone a very good one stop takeaway. Dish and chips are fantastic pizzas my kids love them kebabs parmesans burgers and wraps they've got the job sussed. Friendly cheerful staff as mentioned excellent. A lovely young couple and assistant that are going places.

Chips hard and unappetising, they should of be thrown having driven home I did not want to return with them, I won't use this place again.

Disappointed in the food we purchased this week as a few weeks before it was good. For the price of meals you should always get top quality. Pizzas were tasteless and kebab meat was cold and hard on edges might go again but at the moment giving it a miss.

Wasnt so good this week found what looked like fish bones on top of my chicken parmo . Was also over cooked .

First time I have had a pizza from here. I love a hot and spicy one but apart from a shop in Chester le Street where i come from i have never found a nice one till now. Not the usual mince with a few onions thrown on. But a true hot and spicy absolutely class
