Food was awful the crispy chilli beef I couldn't even chew and was soggy not crispy, have always had great meals from here but after last night's I will be going elsewhere.

No flavour and really greasy, soggy/slimy onions, soggy crispy shredded beef. There are a lot better Chinese takeaways locally.

We use this place regularly now as its good value for money. With takeaways becoming expensive it's nice to find somewhere that is still decent whilst staying cheaper

Affordable price with authentic taste of Asian food. Ordered a Singaporean Rice Noodle. Very warm and nice portion. Close to what I have in Asia.

I ordered roast duck and chicken satay. I have no idea what chicken dish I was given, but it wasn’t chicken satay. It had cucumber and slimy mushrooms in it, both of which I dislike. Would never order a dish with those ingredients and don’t know how they confused that with satay. There wasn’t a lot of duck and what ducks there was was not crispy and had small fragments of bone it it. There was barely any spring onion, just big chunks of cucumber (which I don’t like). Awful. I didn’t have time to contact and get a new delivery as I’m off out. I’m staying in a hotel hence the delivery. I’d never order from here again. However, the delivery was prompt and the driver courteous.

We ordered a Set B but the portion is quite big and enough for 3 persons. Great services and food. The food serve in hot and good condition. Love it!

Always get my takeaway from here... from outside you may think it does not look inviting but the food is fantastic, people friendly and i think its the best chinese takeaway i have eaten in my 50 years

If I was asked to describe this Chinese in one word it would be bland! The young guy on the phone was very helpful to start with so it was very promising but all of the food unfortunately had no flavour! It wasn’t greasy or anything like some chineses can be! The only thing that did have flavour was the chips and at that they were so salty! Chinese chips don’t usually taste of salt!

First time trying this takeaway, ordered multiple dishes. Duck was ok, plenty of pancakes as were prawn crackers. However lemon chicken chewy and drowned in sauce which was lacking flavour. Singapore noodles were plain noodles with chilli thrown on top , bland. Crispy chilli beef was soggy and no flavour. Rice was poor. All dishes were all tasting the same and left us unsatisfied. Wouldn’t recommend or visit again.

I walked in... No staff for 5 minutes. I should have taken that as a sign and left. Unfortunately I stayed. Starter was bland. And the 'spicy' main course was bland. Save yourself and go over the road to the Mandarin (Above the Taj-Mahal).

Had a take away whilst on a short stay in Chippenham. Food was very flavoursome and tasty and good size portions. Certainly better than we can get near to where we live in Seaford. Really enjoyed our meal. Staff were very friendly.

Not the best I have tasted. The spare ribs were the worse we have ever tasted and just bones in a very tasteless watery sauce. Went in the bin. Curry was only ok. Chow mien was very salty and greasy. Prawn toasts overcooked and chewy and dripping in oil. Only thing that was passable was the rice. Must have been the chefs night off but don’t think we will be wasting our money here again. Very disappointed.

Ignore the negative reviews, as Chinese takeaways go this is a good one, used Classic Wok for years but had a couple of bad experiences which led us to trying Golden Dragon as a recommendation from family, so glad we did, great food and reliable service even when they are clearly busy, used them for the last two years and we have no complaints :)

I loved the food my husband meal spot on but I ordered special rice lovely but I also ordered duck with mushroom & bean spouts ended up with chicken and mushroom with chestnut was nice but prefer to have what I ordered.

had a delivery a few days ago had to wait nearly an hour for the food to arrive were told that they were only doing home deliveries so why were they only using one delivery driver the food was well cooked and tasty but very small portions so not good value for money.

Quick friendly service, delicious food. Haven't used this place before, but is cheaper than most and good value. Will definitely be using again.

Terrible experience. Undercooked vegetables, pork skin sold as beef. There is nothing Chinese in that place at all. Never coming back.

Great Chinese. I ordered for 9 and got exactly what I ordered. Friendly service. While not the best Chinese I have had it was certainly the best I have had in Chippenham. Will definitely be back again. It was New Year’s Eve also, so was very happy.

Tasteless Curry, Stodgy Boiled Rice Defiantly pre over cooked not one bit of rice was separate from another and Tasteless. First And Last Order Waste of money.

90 minutes for delivery, tasty food but very dry. I had special chow mein, no liquid, gave me hiccups.

We ordered two lots of crispy chilli beef, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style and Kung Po Chicken and the order arrived mildly warm. Crispy chilli beef was the worst I have ever tried and both portions ended up in the bin- if you fancy a gravy like sauce mixed with vinegar, this ones for you. The sweet and sour sauce was also ruined by the taste of vinegar, the only thing which was decent was the vegetable spring rolls!

I really enjoyed the food. It was lovely. At least this place know how special fried rice should be presented! 😍 Otherwise the rest of the food was hot, crisp and not greasy and very very nice. Such a shame they have such issues with the ordering system via Just Eat!! Also, an 1hr and 30mins to wait for food is unacceptable!!! 😡 Good food but sometimes takes the piss!!!!!!!!

Food was 2 hours late, but owner did sort a refund for me and it was ok after reheating.

Oh yes, now we’re talking. I moved and I’ve been searching for 2 years to find a Chinese to rival my old one. I’ve now found my new regular! Great tasting food was ready super quick with friendly staff and outstanding customer service. Yum yum. I’ll be back again soon!

The food is by far the best in Chippenham. The owner and his wife are wonderfully friendly and always eager to help. Prices are very reasonable, and delivery is always really quick! I cannot recommend this takeaway highly enough!

Food is nice when you can actually order if you have cash or they are actually online on just eat. Phoned on a Friday evening to place an order and pay via card and was told they would not process my card payment over the phone as they’re really busy... so rude! Great way to lose customers!

Go to order a meal, but refuses to process the payment over the phone because "It would take too long to do", but said it was possible to do. We had no other means of payment. Very lazy!, and bad customer service.

For some time now we have had quite good food from here and the customer service has allways been good but a few times now we have noticed that the food is not that great it's been very greasy and tasteless the menus don't seem to change and the vegetarian choice is boring myself and hubby have both had dodgy tummys so we have given this take out a miss which is a shame as we have never had couse to complain but considering the cost of Chinese it's a lot of money for greasy , tasteless, food not really perpaired to pay for it

I ordered food (one "chicken" chow mien and one sweet and sour chicken and chips) from here on the 19th of January and was very disappointed. Upon arrival the food seemed absolutely fine - the chow mien itself was delicious - however, we ordered a "chicken" chow mien but we believe to be beef! This was HIGHLY frustrating, as one of the people we were eating with was not able to eat it because of this. In regards to the sweet and sour chicken, HAS ANYONE LOST A HAIR? BECAUSE I FOUND IT IN MY DISH!! I was appalled to find a dark black hair in amongst my sauce which I noticed after a couple of spoonfuls in and rang the restaurant to complain. The man that we spoke with had no idea what was going on nor knew the process for dealing with complaints. I was on the phone for 7 minutes while he deliberated with other staff just to DRIVE to our house and return us £4 after offering us a frankly pathetic two cans of coke (rather than the full £5 we paid for the dish itself). We are also not getting a refund for the £1.50 service charge which is probably the worst part of all! Extremely disappointed with this restaurant and will not be ordering from here again!

I went to the Golden Dragon (2nd time) upon recommendation and was not disappointed. I could have asked for delivery but I prefer take-out. I only had to wait briefly for my order, freshly prepared and wrapped nicely (it was still hot when I arrived back in my B&B apartment). The choice is humongous. it isn´t called "chinese menue" for nothing. I had some rolls for starter and spicy beef as a main, both very delicious. I´ll definitely come back. (hint for travellers from abroad: you have to order the rice separately)

Wouldn't bother. They don't answer the phone and it cuts you off. Always "offline" on just eat website. Supposed to be easy to order.

I have used this takeaway over the past few weeks as fancied a change from my usual takeway. I am really glad I did as the food has been great every time. I have ordered for delivery and collected and service has been speedy and the staff very friendly as well. Have tried several dishes and the portion sizes have been great and the price is very reasonable. I am definetly going to keep ordering from the Golden Dragon.

He usado este takeawy durante las últimas semanas, ya me apetecía cambiar de mi típico de comida para llevar. Estoy muy contento porque la comida ha sido excelente en todo momento. He pedido para la entrega y recogidas y el servicio ha sido rápido y el personal muy amable. He probado varios platos y el tamaño de las porciones han sido estupendas y el precio es muy razonable. Sin duda va a seguir pidiendo desde el Golden Dragon.

Bronze Dragon. Went here on Mon 27 Mar 17 and ordered king prawn chow mein and when I got in, I actually had chicken chow mein. Shouldn't have been surprised really as while I was waiting in the shop for my food to be made, someone on the phone was also complaining about a mistaken delivery order. Whilst the young lady on the counter is very pleasant, I sense there is a communication issue. No salt and pepper squid on the menu either :o ! Also not VAT registered so not so good if you are away on business and want to claim on expenses. But the food they actually made (albeit incorrect) was decent enough.

Ordered from here the last 3 times we wanted a Chinese meal and we were all impressed very much with food quality, price, customer service and efficiency. We'll be returning!

Tuvimos una comida para llevar en Golden Dragon porque tenía una buena calificación en tripadvisor. Fue un extraño para llevar! En primer lugar, me preguntó cómo grandes los rollitos primavera de carne y me dijeron que eran pequeñas, así que pedí 4. Son absolutamente enorme (y muy grasienta y casi nada de carne). El especial de arroz frito y judías negras pollo estaban absolutamente deliciosa y se puede decir que el pollo es pollo asado propiamente dicho (en vez de las cosas que a veces encuentras correoso). Sin embargo, no había mucho pollo en el plato. Lo más extraño de todo era la 'carne crujiente de chili. Sabía muy bien y estaba muy bien crujiente. Sin embargo, estoy seguro de que el 90% no había hecho carne dentro! Cortamos unos trozos abierto y no había nada en el interior. En general, este fue una mezcla de comida para llevar! Los sabores eran maravillosas. Yo lo intentaría de nuevo.

To follow on from my previous review... the food is still great (many, many visits later) and you can now pay by card. For that reason, I have upgraded to 5 stars.

Siempre en Chippenham dos veces al mes por negocios y éste ha de ser el mejor restaurante chino que recomiendo encarecidamente. La comida es muy sabrosa y no sosa como por el resto también hacen lo posible para variar los platos a mis necesidades. Recomiendo encarecidamente "Golden Dragon" como su nivel de comida es de primera categoría.

Ordered this last night but was very disappointed. Food smelt and tasted horrible and gone off. Had plenty of other chineses and they are not suppose to smell and taste like that. Will never buy from this place again.

La comida que pedimos era abundante y muy sabrosa. La salsa dulce y amarga parecía una casa mucho más hizo que otras comida para llevar. El servicio era genial, me dijeron que estaría lista en 10 minutos y estaba listo cuando llego. La bienvenida fue muy agradable y alegre. Además, los precios eran mucho más razonables que los de otros chino comida para llevar que he utilizado recientemente.

Me he alojado en este hotel llevar tres veces, debido a probar varios llevar chinos sub-estándar en la zona de Chippenham. Me pareció que la comida era muy agradable y bien preparado, a diferencia de la otra crítica mis bolas de pollo estaban todo el año con un rebozado crujientes, y otras partes de nuestra orden eran sabrosos (grandes rollos de pancake, no Chow mein viscosa preciosa). Generalmente comida frita es bastante grasienta pero a lo establecido con rollo de cocina apaño! Yo recomendaría Golden Dragon a cualquiera que esté buscando una deliciosa comida china.

absolutamente chocante, la comida llegó rápidamente, pero no era muy pleseant. El pollo al curry y arroz sabía muy bien. También pedimos pollo Pelotas con dulce y salsa agria, el pollo no era tal condición como una bola era plana como un panqueque la pasta estaba cubierto de aceite ouzing tenía grasos de cuando poco en ellos. Fueron asqueroso terminamos tirar, ya que todo lo que se puede degustar el aceite no era el pollo no había mucho pollo en las cosas forma planas. Mi pareja y yo tuvimos muy malestar estomacal, a 2 horas de comer, gracias a Dios que mantener en un antidiarreico que era un salvavidas para nuestros malestar estomacal. Yo evitaría este sitio si valoras tu salud.
