Kings Gourmet in Wiltshire

I would not recommend this chinese food wise. Sweet and sour sauce is basically slime and the food has way too much salt in it. My boyfriend and i couldn’t even eat it. Try Chop Suey house in melksham it is much nicer. Bette value for money. One positive about this place is the staff are so friendly, food is just a complete let down.

Had a delivery last weekend from Kings Gourmet and it was fantastic! Beautifully cooked food, well spiced and plentiful. 5 of us ate very well for £10 per head . Incredible food and superb value for money. Well done Kings Gourmet!

Worst Chinese I've ever had.. Never again..

Honestly one of the worst Chinese’s I’ve ever had. Didn’t end up eating the food we received as the curry had a weird film on the top of it. Called the restaurant back and the lady apologised and sent out a new batch however was exactly the same. All the food stank of vinegar and was overall not very nice

We were hoping for decent food for a birthday celebration and it did not disappoint! Really, really good food - lots of it too! Perfect seasoning as some takeaways are far too salty. So tasty. Fantastic service too, especially as I royally messed up the order (couldn't read my own writing). Phoned back in before it was prepared and they changed it to what we wanted with no fuss. Pricing and order correct on pick. Will definitely use again - fantastic value.

Our go to Chinese, not just for the value and great quality of food but also the great customer service you receive too. The owners Adeline and Andy are lovely.

Got our second takeaway from King’s Gourmet on Saturday night, as we wanted to see if it was as good as the first time! It was even better. Beautifully cooked, great flavours, large portions, sensibly priced and really friendly staff - and they’ve got 5 stars for cleanliness too. We won’t be going anywhere else now that we found Melksham’s finest Chinese takeaway!

Never let us down, best Chinese in Melksham. Great portion sizes and always delivered hot. Understandable that the delivery time is long, they’re the best. Won’t go anywhere else!

I have always used this place as the best in area however last time I came the chicken balls were sponge bob yuk and the curry sauce had the salt pot tipped in it they should have binned and started again not ruin there reputation over it will not return not happy

These guys are always friendly - delivery is on time. Large portions, always hot. Slightly different flavourings & menu to Golden Falls next door (depends on your personal taste - far fewer cooked onions & more sauce in the Kings G Chow Mein vs Golden F). Definitely get more food for your cash. All the Chinese takeaways in Melksham are slightly different, but Kings are consistently good. Andy runs a taxi service too - top bloke :-)

Decided to try this Chinese for a change as disappointed with our usual one. Really lovely food, generous portions and very tasty. I shall be using this one in future.

This evening was our first experience of this local Chinese takeaway. The flavours of the food and the presentation were fabulous, and the portions were generous too. The staff were obliging and friendly. A 5 star rating from us!

Best Chinese in Melksham. Huge portions (especially the house special chow Mein) , really tasty and good prices. Unfortunately they don't take card and don't order online

I ordered by mobile phone when on the last leg of our long journey home. My signal was very patchy but the lady taking the order displayed great patience and continued to wait until my order was complete. The food was delicious and plentiful and because they were incredibly busy and I had to wait longer than the stated time, we were rewarded with plenty of extra prawn crackers.

This was the best in Melksham but this evening was the last time we will be ordering anything from King's Gourmet. Food was cold and this wasn't the first time this has happened. Last four meals have all been one or the other have been cold.

I walked into to collect my order which wasn’t ready . Trying to social distance there were already 6 in waiting area and more were being allowed to enter . While I was waiting I watched the English girl in back scenes eating food while preparing food for customers . This put me off I told the owner . With covid 19 in place and handing food while eating it is a serious food Safety issue . So I’m sorry but I won’t be eating at this place no More .

We had a variety of dishes, such as chicken in salt and chili, chow mien, salt and pepper chips, chicken balls and more. And overall every single dish was delicious, we live all the way in Bradford on Avon, however we would still drive the extra miles for this Chinese. Honestly the best Chinese I’ve ever had.

Went there for the first time yesterday 27/03/20 the Singapore style chicken chow mein was amazing and the portions are really good it was much nicer than the chop suey House Singapore chow mein I normally have

I tried all chinese takeaways in the area and can confidently say that this is the best one in terms of food quality and value for money. Only downside can be the wait time, the place always seems to be busy.

Fabulous food and reasonably priced too

Used to be a regular but the quality of cooking has gone right downhill. Last Thai curry tasted really bad, other meal which had chips were very dry and overcooked. Service is with a smile but something has gone badly wrong with standard of food.

This is by far the best Chinese takeaway in Melksham. We have tried out every Chinese in Melksham and this one is definitely the best. The food is always fresh and extremely tasty. Staff are great and they listen so what you say if you have perhaps a special wish. Food is delivered hot and tasty and they tell you exactly how long it will take. If you are looking for a great take away look no further!!!!!!!

We used to have a really good Chinese in Bath, however since moving to Melksham we have found the best Chinese takeaway. All the staff are friendly, polite and the food is really really good.

Great food, friendly staff, you HAVE to try the spiced salt and chilli chicken wings. AWESOME
