Food was awful sweet and sour sauce was thin and sour no sweet totally unbalanced with a vinegar flavour. Singapore noodles were also lacking flavour. The banana fritters were disgusting batter was like cardboard and looked anaemic. Would definitely not return.

Horrible chicken balls battersomehow dry and chicken very poor quality and too tough to bite. Over charged and no refund offered. We not be using again. Overall this has massively been a waste of money ordered was for 4 and all of us disappointed in the taste and quality

Spent £60 , they forgot one item , poor food , chicken balls batter was like a spoonful of flour with tasteless chicken , no apologies for the missing item , never again

It certainly was a late night food situation as it nearly came before I went to bed. I am still waiting and nearly into a 2 hour wait on the food I ordered just for myself. It better taste good. I haven't used this takeaway for years and I don't think I will again. Haven't tasted the food yet so I will wait and finish this post when I have tried the food. That's if it EVEN EVER arrives. Arrived and nothing to write home about.

Ordered a takeaway was told 20-30 mins 45 minutes later a call from driver saying can't find you so I'm not coming won't be going back to them

Last night my wife had chicken and 5 minutes after we eaten, it was horrible, stomach pain and daeria, went through all Friday night, 20 times run to the toilet and now, in the bed, all Saturday. Weekend ruined. I'll call officials to do something about it. NEVER AGAIN food from Pewsham Chinese.

This is a fast food takeaway that appears to have a problem with lead timestold 45 mins and now 1 hour and counting - this not the first time this has happened.

Awful food. Egg fried rice grey with no discernible egg. Kung po chicken scary red colour and tasted only of salt. Singapore noodles not great but ok. Curry sauce runny.

I’m prompted to write a review of this takeaway because I absolutely hate paying for bad food. My husband and I had not eaten here in a long time after previously not enjoying the food but lately we had heard a lot of people saying how good it was so we decided to give it another try. The menu looks really appetising. My husband is not a particularly fussy eater and he ordered his usual; pork chop suey, egg fried rice, curry sauce and poppadums. I am fussy and so decided to try the chicken pad thai. Well mine was about as far away from a pad thai that you can get, other than it containing noodles, and my husbands was fatty and bland; he didn’t even eat the curry sauce and ate very few poppadums as they were greasy and stale tasting. It seemed like very lazy cooking. We ended up throwing most of it away which we rarely do but we were so disappointed by it all. My theory when eating out is if I can cook it better at home then why would I pay a supposedly professional chef to cook it for me? I absolutely could have cooked this better so we will not be eating here again.

Most dishes were very salty, the others were bland. There was a distinct lack of flavour to everything we ordered. We won’t go back.

Food is really tasty however service and delivery is appalling. Given them the benefit of the doubt on multiple occasions whereby they say delivery will be 30 mins and an hour later I call and they say it’ll be another 20 minutes. Blaming it on the weather and multiple deliveries when really this is a common theme. Will stop ordering from here which is a shame as it is nice food.

This is the only Chinese restaurant i will order from in chippenham, the food is usually good /safe to eat. I placed an order at 5.45. The said 45 minutes, fine. 1 hour in , they are just bringing it now. Same story each time. So after 4 phone calls i recieved my order at 8.05. Fobbed off at every chance. To top it off they forgot some of the order.

The best Chinese, Thai and Malaysian food I have ever had. Everything is fresh and very tasty.

We have had some good meals from here, however the meal we had on the 19th August was terrible. Over cooked and the meat in the chop suey was off. Considering it cost over £40, it was extremely disappointing. Maybe a different chef? It will be a while before we go back.

Very good food and they accept card payments, which is always a plus for me. A little too pricey compared to others around the area, this is the only reason why I didn't give 5 stars.

Reasonably priced and nice portions

Went and got a chinese last night , the crispy won tons terrible , the ribs burnt to a cinder, salt and pepper lamb shocking! Last time I go there the foods been gradually going down hill and this is the final straw.

I have tried to order from this Chinese twice recently, I was told delivery would be 45 minutes but never arrived. When I rang back I was told it would be another hour before it would delivered. Back in November 2021 I ordered from them and got food poisoning from them and was ill for 4 days after. There are 2 young lads working down there that really don't care spending more time playing on their mobile phones. I won't be ordering from then again avoid if possible.

My favourite far east takeaway (I choose that wording because I usually order Malaysian style food from them). Food is always excellent quality at reasonable prices with a very wide range of choice. There are other places I think do better Chinese food but this isn't your run of the mill choice. If you like spicy chow mein then I suggest getting the Chicken Mee Goreng and ask for it extra spicy, very tasty!

Waited 45 minutes for a meal that never arrived. Was told it would be about 15-20 mins. After a further 30 minutes of seeing other customers come and go, I asked where mine was. Chap behind the counter said two more items were being prepared, then another 10 minutes after that, I had to check again this time with the manager. It seemed my order hadn't been put through. I cancelled it, got my refund and walked out without a full explanation or apology being offered.

Nothing wrong with the food, just the ridiculously long time they keep you waiting. Telephone order 45mins past the time given to collect. Victim of their own success.

Walk in customer. Waited 20 mins for a single dish. After another customer with a large walk in order received theirs I enquired as to where mine was. Oh I’ll check for you was the answer. Waited another 10 mins and asked for a refund. I ve been a customer here for 15 years. Never had this rubbish service. Very disappointing. You have lost a customer.

Firstly they ask for a minimum order, then they wang to charge you for delivery as well? Cant order online, not happy giving my card details over phone. Not even prompt with delivery

We order regularly from here, good selection, excellent service, ordered over telephone and collected, there was a little wait as advised but this was expected as they were busy. Food was hot, delicious, good portion size and decent prices 😁 thank you

Great vegetarian Chinese cuisine. The crispy tofu with salt and chilli is highly recommended! I can't replicate it myself, no matter how hard I try!

Used the Chinese takeaway loads when I lived in pewsham and always enjoyed the chats with the lady in the till. Havent been for around 5 years but on returning a few months back she remembered me and the wife. Food was always amazing and they would make my food spicy to the point I could enjoy it.

Ordered a meal over the phone for collection, was told it would be ready in 40 minutes. Turned up on time to collect it to be told our food wasn't ready, "just waiting for a couple of the dishes to complete the order". Chased at 15, 30 and 40 minutes late, each time with "it'll be 5 mins" type comments. Food finally arrived 45 minutes after it should have done, so 1:25 in total. I can appreciate Saturday evenings are busy times, but I don't appreciate being basically lied to. I'd only just gone back following a similar experience last year where I had to cancel the order after another extended wait and went elsewhere. Won't happen again, disappointingly I'm done with this place. If you can't be straight with me, you don't deserve my custom.

Our closest Chinese takeaway. We rarely eat takeaways but with our daughter down to stay we thought we’d have a treat. All the dishes we chose were delicious. Smallish portions if sharing with more than two people although some dishes have a slightly larger size option. Menu is a little complicated with several options for each dish. This has resulted in wrong dishes on two previous occasions which is frustrating. Be careful when ordering. Couldn’t fault the food though. Nothing left for next day unfortunately!!

Had been in lockdown for 9 weeks and needed a change of meal. Food was hot & tasty but sauces were very "watery" and portions VERY small. Banana & Pineapple fritters were a disappointment, batter more suited to fish & chip shop and arrived swimming in Syrup (Other takeaways serve syrup separately) Delivery was 90 mins instead of 60 but guy was very polite and apologetic, that being said made a change from home cooked meal May give them another try after covid and things return to normal. Comparatively expensive to others in area

Food is good but estimated delivery is unreliable. We're always told 45 minutes for delivery but this can mean 20 minutes to 2 hours.

We decided to collect as there was a 2 hour wait on the delivery time, we were told it would be 40 to 50 minutes so we got there 50 minutes after we phone in, the people waiting were everywhere, now we no its lockdown but this was mad. We waited another hour for are food, once we got got it home all I can say it was awful, we paid £30 for a meal that was not good. This is there business they should run better than they did tonight, not sure if they were short staffed or had other issues but I think they should have been more honest when phoning in that the wait was over 2 hours for collection lots of the people waiting outside went back in and got there money back.

Food is nice, but paid close to £7 for something which was supposed to be in a large container, which turns out to be the same size and a standard container from other takeaways

Ordered takeaway and was told 90 minutes. Actually arrived nearly 3 hours after ordering. Followed up several times and was told a variety of excuses.. “already left, just cooking now, system crashed, driver lost, driver on way back, etc” . Lady on phone completely out of control. Food very average when arrived. Avoid. Message to owner, just tell your customers the truth at point of order. Simple!!

The very best Chinese food you could wish for. There's a huge choice including an impressive vegetarian selection. We drive here regularly, even though there are several Chinese restaurants in our immediate area who would deliver. Believe me, it's worth the trip.

Haven’t had a take away from here for many months but as always we weren’t disappointed. The meal was ready “in 10 minutes” and it was nice and hot so didn’t need a zap in the microwave when we got home. The food was very tasty and good portion size for two of us. Musn’t leave it so long next time.

Haven’t eaten here in ages, as didn’t like the food before. But tried it again tonight, and it was really nice! Tasty. Great sized portion, not too expensive.

I am very disappointed in the portion sizes I have just received. I ordered the same dishes as I did a few weeks ago and they were very different.....no consistency!

Love this place...fast service, friendly smile and most food I have had has been great. Wide choice of dishes and for a takeaway one of the best Peking duck and pancakes I have had.

The portions are very small and for the small size the food was overpriced. The staff were friendly and food served quickly. Just needs to be priced accordingly

THE FOOD IS NOT NICE! THE PORTION SIZE IS TINY AND VERY MUCH OVERPRICED! The rice was not cooked properly! Chicken balls were stale! And the sweet and sour sauce was watered down!

A few years ago I ate here and it was awful. Was pressed to go again and decided to take the chance. It was much much better. Sweet and sour sauce was a bit watery but the chicken balls were good. Not too fatty a good balance of batter and chicken. Was nice. Will go again Not the best Chinese in chippenham but quite good.

Ordered a 3-4 menu b meal and it was very small would only feed 2 people...portion sizes have reduced in size ..this is the 2nd time and both times have been small portions

Always well cooked, tasty chinese food. They have the best vegetarian options in the area too. Sweet and sour tofu and crispy tofu with salt and peppercorns both highly recommended. One of the only things I'm sad to leave behind moving from Wiltshire.

I love Chinese so I went here thinking I would get a lovely meal.Clearly I was WRONG I ordered some chicken balls with sweet and sour I got to extremely greasy hair covered balls and no Sweet and Sour I was home when I realised.THIS PLACE IS AN Absolute INSULT TO CHINESE FOOD

Every time I visit this Chinese restaurant the food is always well cooked and delicious, this place has never let me down in the 20 years I have lived here.

The staff are always very friendly, the service extremely quick and efficient and of course, the food excellent. If I ever moved away from Chippenham, this would be something that I missed!

Wasn't the best chinese I had.The egg fired rice was not very good did not look at all like egg fired rice.food was over cook.small portions and food is a bit over priced for what you get.The best thing was the fish and chips which wasn't too bad that's all I can say.

Best Chinese ever. That guy who wrote the review about getting food poisoning must be an utter wet wipe. I've eaten here all my life and Never been ill. In fact, if you have a dodgy belly, I suggest you ask these legends in the kitchen to sort you out a few chicken balls and a big old pot of special fried rice and you will be right as rain in no time.

We have used this Chinese for several years and have always found it reasonable, tasty and friendly. Unfortunately, in the last year some meals have not been up to scratch. For example, using salted peanuts instead of cashew nuts in Chicken with cashews. Hopefully, it will get back on track because it's so convenient and we've now been let down on the last 3 visits!

Always get our chinese from here and have done for almost 20 years!! Think that says it all.The sweet and sour Hong Kong style dishes are lush as are the thai dishes and they will cater to your tastes if you don't want something so spicy. Would definitely recommend.

Slow service which is normal for a Saturday night, but the diarrhoea i got and have (7 plus hours after) isn't right. i would go elsewhere. The high price plus the the small portion not to mention the foot poisoning means i won't be coming back to this "so called great Chinese" Give others a try before these.

This is a regular treat for us, and the Pewsham Chinese Kitchen rarely lets us down.On this occasion it was a take-away with neighbours; one of them is not keen on Chinese but loves Thai, so it is fortunate that this restaurant does both!We had a splendid meal; it always arrives hot and freshly cooked. Their delivery service is probably the fastest of any restaurant in the area.Well done again to Lilly and the team!

I went into this establishment to order some food for my partner and I and ordered 4 dishes which came to just under £20 the food was served to me as a take away within 5 minutes of being there which i thought straight away was very quiet but took my food 5 minutes down the road in the car to our house to open it all up and prepare it on our plates to discover how bad quality and over cooked it all was ! My partner and I were unable to eat the food as it was such poor quality , i knlw its only a take away chinese but you expect some sort of standard , following this i phoned to Pewsham Oriental kitchen to explain my situation to has a response of "ok take you" will never return to this place again and would never reccomend..

A great selection of Chinese, Thai and Malaysian food - it might take a while to decipher the menu, but it's worth it. The Thai dishes are particularly good - fragrant with Thai basil and lemongrass, and filled with lovely vegetables like aubergine.

I have tried this takeaway a few times now and have aways had a excellent meal, Have a choice of a standard or large portion on most meals on the menu I normally go large as they taste so good, on my last visit I went in but could not decide what to have so I told them the sort of thing I wanted, I came out with chili prawns in noodles which were absolutely gorgeous.

When I moved to the area 13 years ago, I was bitterly disappointed to find that there were no really good Chinese restaurants within easy travelling distance, and then we discovered this exquisite take-away.The food quality is matched only by the very best sit-down restaurants in Bath and Bristol, so easily scores as the best for many miles around. The staff know us so well that we hardly need a menu and they remember all of the fussy little tweaks we like to the dishes. Nothing is too much trouble, so if there is something you would like to be cooked slightly differently they are only too pleased to oblige. Everything is freshly cooked to order, yet they are very fast in preparing the food; a delivery service is available and that too is fast.The menu is very extensive and has a number of Thai dishes; prices are marginally higher other local Chinese take-aways but the quality of food is so much better here. I just wish they would extend and open a sit-down!

Although limited in what I can eat nowadays I can heartily recommend the Nasi Goreng. You have a choice of meat but whatever you have you will enjoy.
