Bland, bland, bland. Never had such a tasteless Chinese. Maybe it was just a one off but should never happen at these prices

Bloody lovely and welcome back missed you and your wonderful food, been away and you come back and smash it on customer service and fantastic food

Lovely food and we go each time when we are on holiday here. Only take cash payments and we always ring our order through and then go and collect. Never disappointed, good portions and nice and hot.

Food was average, edible but not the best Chinese I have had. I prefer my noodles in mushroom chow mein to be cooked a little long Husband and sons had no complaints. Curry sauce was a bit glubby.

Friendly, efficient helpful staff. The food is always hot and plenty of it. I had the meal for one and it would easily feed 2 people. I have used this Chinese for over 6 years now and it's still as good as the first time.

Ordered tonight after having people rant and rave at me how good the food is, when looking at the prices I thought this could be true and must be decent. Spent just over £30 on 5 different dishes and every single dish tasted the same. All bland, boring, watery and very very unexciting. Totally disappointed and will not be ordering from here again the best thing was the salt and pepper chips and they were “okay” at a push. Saved all the food because I’m not wasting £30 and il add to it myself and make it taste how it’s actually supposed to!

Something's gone wrong here . This place used to be o.k , the food was usualy good to very good , but this time round it was rubbish . Everthing seemed almost finished , the chicken chow mein was bland and the noodles soggy . No colour to it . Crispy shredded beef was tasteless and the ribs in sweet and sour was again tasteless . The egg fried rice was terrible , no egg to see , and the rice smashed to mush . The chicken balls could have had another minute to brown them off , again no colour to them and very greasy . All the food was piping hot though ! Don't get it really , it's really dropped off and a shame that i have to find somewhere else when i'm down in Chapel again .

Not impressed had sweet and sour prawn balls. Egg fried rice chicken curry . Prawns not cleaned batter only just cooked curry ok but short on mushroom.

Had a meal from this takeaway last night, it was absolutely delicious, hot tasty, very little grease, special requests completely sorted and huge portions! Fabulous meal!

Sunday night, left our food options a bit late and settled for Chinese takeaway (reluctantly) but it was great! We had spare ribs, fantastic portion, pork fried rice chock-a-block with all the bits and pieces, freshly fried prawn crackers, still warm. Really tasty and really generous portions, highly recommend

we called in and orderd a king prawn curry no onions,so we got the meal after being told its pay extra for rice wich we didnt do.instead of onions therewere 2 miniture mushrooms and then we had game of find the prawns.the container was the very small size and for 5£.50p was a major rip off.the curry was wishy washy to say the least,and i really regret not asking for my cash back.neveragain and just wish we had gone next door to the chippy .stay clear of this place.the worst in chapel by a country mile.

Happy with the food, good variety and friendly staff. Would use again Couldn’t Find an online menu tho so maybe that needs improving

We were visiting the area again and wondered whether to choose a different takeaway this time. We didn't we wen back here and were weren't disappointed. We choose two of the House Specials and enjoyed them

Sweet and sour Hong Kong style, roast pork chowmein, egg fried rice, vegetable spring rolls and prawn crackers all very large portions and tasty too. Good value for money and ready for collection in 15 mins after walking in to order

Lovely take away to eat in our tent :) Great quality food, quick service and a very helpful guy serving at the counter. Really good value for money too.

Husband loved his chow mein, I had the chicken curry, his was lovely, but I didn't care for the curry sauce, it seemed to lack the aniseedy flavour some have. Next time I will have the same as him. Good prices though

It was sweet and sour chicken I purchased but all I could taste was the dough. It cost a lot of dough did that dough and I won't ever go back there, even if it was the last Chinese takeaway on Earth!

This place never fails cheerful bloke on the counter food always great and well served and always good portions

We had sweet and sour chicken balls and chow mein from here and it was superb. Lovely fluffy batter and the portions are huge. Highly recommend!

on a recent visit to our caravan . we decided we wanted something different to eat and decided on Chinese so looked on trip advisor and came across the golden dragon chapel st. leonards and glad we did . rang an order in and it was ready by the time we got there . lovely staff and one of the best Chinese I have had at a very reasonable price

Whilst on holiday spotted this Chinese thought we would try it for a takeaway, food was piping hot when we collected (no delivery) the chicken was wired thin over cooked. Not enjoyable at all.

Had two lovely currys and rice hot and so spicy service top notch use often and the service never fails

Sunday evening I went in ordered my food and went home after work had chicken balls sweet and sour I always have that the next morning work up feeling okay I was off to Nottingham while I was in Nottingham my tummy didn’t feel right so I kept drinking water and then went to the car threw up in the car park headache and automatically felt dizzy and freezing cold and I felt like I couldn’t walk so me and my friends decide to go to an Indian restaurant I didn’t eat anything I felt awful I passed out at the table woke up to my friends paying the bill I went to the toilet and I was sick 7 times and had the got home and mum said she tried some of my Chinese and spat it right back out lucky enough I left some and it was chewy and wasn’t cooked properly and I’m still poorly and it’s been 2days

Well what can I say aske d a member of staff if there was any nut's or onion in the meal my daughter asked for he said he Dont no I asked if he could check he came back and then asked the next person in what he would like I then asked him did you ask the chef if it has nuts or onion in the food I ordered he went a few minute's later he came back with my food opened and slammed it on the counter shouting no no no I told him I have to ask and there's a sign that states any issues please ask its very important that it Dont as it could kill my daughter I then told him I Dont want the food it scares me that you didn't check I also told him he needs to learn how to talk to customers he then told me in front of my daughter to fok off fok off I shouldn't have but I told him the correct saying is f,,k off f,,k off then walked of

My partner and I are holidaying in Chapel St Leonards and fancied a Chinese takeaway. After looking in TripAdvisor, we found this gemOf a takeaway literally 5 minutes away. Very clean - and was good to see had scored 5 on their health & hygiene. Food was delicious, we had shredded chilli beef - spicy but yummy. Very generous portions.A definite recommendation from us

Title says it all! Very good take away based in Chapel St Leonards. Very quick turnaround of orders even at busy times. Only take cash. Offer a good selection of english dishes as well. Limited free parking (30 mins restriction) outside the take-away

Been using this takeaway for 4/5 years always was very busy normally 45 mins wait, turn up this evening and got told would be ready in 5 to 10 mins ? And boy does it show the starter (barbecue ribs) was unedible......imagine all the worst gristle bits cut of the ribs and put into one container, yet not one bone with meat on 90% gristle! And the rest of the the food rubbish avoid. Traveled all the way from Skegness especially to eat from here. Phoned up to advise about experience got offered refund only if I traveled back in end they hung phone up on me.

I always go here for my chinese . The food is great and the service is quick and the owner is always willing to alter dishes to your needs ..10 out of 10

We has spring rolls, chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls, salt and chilli crispy shredded chicken, vegetables in black bean sauce and egg fried rice.It was all decent enough and not overpriced. The menu isn't extensive but there's nothing wrong with the food, without it being spectacular.

Had a birthday takeaway whilst on holiday and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered for 5 people but didn't have to wait too long and all the food was piping hot and of excellent quality. Would recommend

Had a take away from there tonight, was ready within 15 minutes, very hot and fresh. Really nice take away, not greasy at all. Would definately recommend.

Tried several times very good as photos show. Large portion of duck & tasty special curry. Worth a try Chapel now has two Chinese takeaways & Canaan has tables to eat in if you wish although it's more of a cafe than restaurant

Had the beef curry with fried rice and some prawn crackers, very very tasty, I've had beef curry's from loads of different locations BUT this is the best I've tasted in a long time.

This is without a doubt the most awful Chinese I've ever eaten. I do not normally leave reviews but because of the poor quality and taste I had to comment. Had the shredded salt & chilli crispy beef which had no beef and was basically pieces of chewy batter. Mother had special curry which contained square slices of processed meat which looked & tasted similar to that you would get out of a Spar shop. More bland sauce than actually content.

This is one of the worst Chinese takeaways I have ever eaten it was really over salted and have never been back since. I would prefer panda over thisone.

I had high hopes considering the reviews. Aromatic duck was so chewy none of us could eat it without sitting there for 10 mins per mouthful. Pancake rolls were tasteless. Beef and chicken Chinese style was slices of beef and chicken on a bed of been spouts with what seem to be tasteless think gravy. Looked like there was no effort what so ever. Singapore noodles were average.Personally I am used to a lot better. It's the first Chinese in a while where I have thrown it away before finishing. All of us (4) were very dissatisfied. Poor.

What a busy little Chinese. Food was very good. Owner very friendly. Price on par with other chinese I have been to. Will go again.

We have our favorite dishes and they are always excellent. When we have visitors we try something else and these dishes are always tasty and plentiful. Yes, it is busy but that is because the food is good. Highly recommend any of the fried rices, beef in oyster sauce, crispy shredded beef and chicken chow mein. Friendly staff, even when under pressure.

The food was non- greasy and very tasty. We ordered by phone for collection and it was ready when we arrived. One of the best Chinese Takeaways I have had.

We went to this local Chinese takeaway in the village and wasn't disappointed. Although very busy (always a good sign) we didn't have to wait long for our order. It remained hot while in transit back to the BnB and was very tasty. We had noodles, chicken fried rice chicken with bamboo shoots and spare ribs. Good portions and filling. Well less then £20 between three of us.

This is by far one of the best Chinese takeaways I have had. Very tasty and not over salted at all and also not greasy. Some of our party even went back the next night for seconds. It is also very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

I believe that this is the best Chinese take away anywhere. The little Chinese man is always obliging and the food is always great. Never had any complaints. I must question the authenticity of the review of terrible. A possible rival ??Who knows! Great food great service, been going 18 months never had any bad food!

First time in Chapel for years. Couldn't find anything else open the first night so tried this Chinese. Had chicken in black pepper sauce and it was gorgeous. Had spring rolls and egg fried rice with it. Nothing was greasy at all. Just lovely tasty food. Used twice since and always quick and tasty food. Spot on!

Hand on heart I can't see that any one can call the food from this Chinese anything but well below average. Salty, greasy dirty food it's anything but real Chinese food! If you want a very bad English take away then this is for u? The 6 or 7 hairs found in every dish come for free as do the prawn crackers!

Visited for a telephone order take away while staying at The Ship Inn caravan & camping site at the rear of the pub. Nice clean reception & waiting area, served without delay at exactly the time the food was ordered for. Once back opened up the dishes that smelt & tasted great. Free prawn crackers too. We will be back.

Went here while on holiday and got to say its the best Chinese food I've had. Egg fried rice was yum. Please come to the Chinese takeaways near me and teach them how to cook.

We have visited golden dragon more than a handful of times over the past year. The take away is always busy so I ring the order in 1st. The service is good the food even better. No complaints at all!!

We've been attending chapel Chinese since we moved in April 2013. Since then its a weekly regular. Even so they know our order/voice when we call. We've changed ingredients to our liking with no problem. The food is the best quality we've found throughout the Skegness area and would recommend to anyone.

We get take-out from here. Good, friendly service at a reasonable price.They do awesome crispy shredded beef :)Will continue to order from here.

Through the the summer we have visited this takeaway on many occasions it has now become the norm as my son requests it. The food is very tasty and of exceptional quality they can even make egg fried rice taste one step up from everyone else
