Golden City in Dudley

Ordered from here for years ...but tonight food was awful only 4 ribs and they were all full of fat ,I called the owner and he just made excuses... so disappointed 😞

Been coming here for years on and off and the food is always top notch

We have used this place loads of times over the last 11 years, however unfortunately due to the July 2024 hygiene rating of 1 we won't go here anymore. I really hope they sort this out soon and get their hygiene back up to an acceptable amount.

It was awful, got food poisoning and man who served us was very rude and had 0 manners. Do not recommend.

Staff need training in customer service as can appear very rude & answering the phone promptly. Calling 67 times during opening hours & it ringing out until phone cut off, is unacceptable when operating a business! On the plus side, the prices are reasonable & the food has always been nice!

The spring rolls are now 99% bean sprouts the meat and prawns are untraceable, bland and over priced. Chicken Curry was OK but very expensive and smaller portions plus rice is an extra charge, won't be going again.

Always our go to Chinese. Always spot on with anything we have. Chips are nice most of the time, odd occasions they haven't tasted the same but bar that we have never had a bad meal from here!

Currently trying to eat their hot and sour soup which is neither hot nor sour and tastes more tomatoey. It's also 90% an ingredient that looks like mushroom but doesn't taste like mushroom. Honestly have no idea what the hell it is. Will definitely not be eating from here again when they can't even get a simple soup to taste good.

Chicken curry was nice with eggfryed rice. Prawn crackers tasted like they was a week old. Paid nearly £10 for it. Not again 😡. Very disappointed .wot be ordering there again. Stick to the Mayflower in future. Only reason for ordering from golden city because Mayflower was closed. Wot a Rip off.

Worst food I’ve ever tasted ! Ordered at 7.15pm didn’t arrive until 9.00pm after I had to call them back to ask where it was. Arrived Luke warm all in microwaved containers and tasted absolutely terrible. Will never order from there again - will stick to Ordering from Lai Do.

My wife and I got food from here last night and both been up all night with food poisoning. Avoid at all costs.

ordered the meal deal on menu ( A2) for £16.00 delivery was included came within 40mins it was absolutely delicious food I usually use Lotus garden Coseley however it was closed for Chinese New Year, so glad I decided to give Golden City a try will use again.

The attitude in this place is ridiculous! Delivery charge of £2 for the same postcode is out of order. Overall rude and no manners. Definitely won’t be taking my custom back there!

If i could give it a minus 20 i wud i have been in bed for 3 days now with food poisioning i cant even look after my daughter i couldnt pinpoint what i had eaten 2 cause it as me and a couple of friends ordered from here but we all had different 2day a friend of mine messaged me she had also been in bed for 3 days but put it down 2 a bug but it turns out we both ordered from here on the same night with the same food and now we are paying the price so please if you read this do not order from.here

The staff are very rude, the food wasn't nice at all also gave me food poisoning, don't recommend it at all!! Waiting area didn't look clean either, definitely try somewhere else, won't be returning here ever!
