Golden Balti Indian Takeaway in Birmingham

The food is unbelievably good. With so many run of the mill restaurants around its great to have Golden Balti on the doorstep.

Late, poor quality of food, cold and missing item

Curry was ok but wasn’t to normal standards. Chips were inedible. Nann and rice all ok. Must of been a bad day at the office

Arrived nearly two hours since ordered and when it arrived it was almost the time I needed to go to bed due to work in the morning. Really disappointed as we are regular customers and the food is lovely….let down by the delivery service. The restaurant have said they will give us a discount next time we order.

Ordered at 6.38pm delivered 8.30pm Food was cold. This was the second time in a row the service has been poor.

Food was hot, fresh and tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed the lamb and sauce. Happily order again.

Good food and delivered quickly

2 1/2 hrs wait for nothing to turn up and unable to call the restaurant as their line was ‘currently unavailable’. First and last time for us. Absolutely appalling. Food didn’t arrive at all. I’d give 0 stars but it isn’t an option.

Prawns and spinach was slightly salty. Boiled rice was absolutely perfect👌🏾

This place has gone downhill massively when they decide to open. Presume it’s new owners.

Struggled to find the meat in the dish.

Lovely curry, nice and thick and lots of flavour

Really disappointed with the food we ordered this evening. The curries were bland, watery and a completely different colour to usual..

This restaurant did the best cheese naan and Tarka Dhal locally which is why we normally order from them but just received the food and the naan has changed to the rubbish one others do with cheese melted on top of the naan. The chips were soggy which isn’t normally the case. Wondering if it’s under new management. Will probably try somewhere different next time.

Had family up and dinner from Golden Balti did not disappoint. Arrived early, hot and tasty as always 👍

I have been visiting this takeaway for 5 years after trying many and this was the best by far around Alvechurch/Barnt Green/Redditch. I was therefore somewhat concerned that when I returned recently I found out it was under new ownership and following some other reviews which weren’t complimentary, I was worried. However we had probably the best meal in all the time we’ve been using this takeaway. The sauces for the poppadoms offer a great selection and the prawn puri starter was a great portion size as well as full of flavour. The Balti Jalfrezi was also extremely tasty and a great spice level. My worries are no more and I will continue to use this as my go to Indian takeaway.

We have had a takeaway from here nearly every week for the past 5 plus years and can honestly say we have only had issues on the odd occasion and that's sometimes the food but a lot of the time them forgetting to put in the salad or nan bread. We had a takeaway from here a few weeks ago and when we received it was told that it had changed hands and you could tell as it wasn't up to its amazing standards. Usually, each curry sauce is different in colour and texture but my Lamb Bhuna sauce tasted and looked like the Chicken Madras sauce, just not as hot. You could taste the raw spices and the quality of the lamb wasn't as good. Not sure if we will go back, IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT!!

Food was ridiculously swimming in grease , so much so we couldn’t even finish it after we tried draining the grease from it . The paratha was not light and soft as it’s supposed to be but hard and heavy . Very disappointed

Quality of food was great although saag aloo was sent as a tub of sauce no potato or spinach in sight and was disappointed to not have any yoghurt sauce with my poppadoms and starters

Another great experience from this gem of a place. I’m never disappointed, in fact the opposite, I am always impressed with the food and customer service from the Golden Balti. First time ordering as the usual place we order from is getting the kitchen refurbished. Food was edible but mostly bland. Sheekh kebab was however too salty to eat. Food was late.
