Gojis in Redcar and Cleveland

As soon as we sat down the waiter was quick to run over and take drink orders when i hadn’t even had a chance to look at the menu and my partner was at the toilet. it was as if the staff were in a rush to get us out like we were bothering them even though we had booked our table. staff were stood staring the whole time grabbing the glasses whilst they still had drink in them and immediately asking us what we wanted to order. only vegetarian options for mains were margarita or pasta arrabiata despite the restaurant claiming to be vegetarian friendly. We both got the pasta and it arrived 5 mins later, cold on the outside and boiling hot in some spots (clearly been heated up) The ingredients said chili so we were expecting some spice, but we were not expecting a plate full of chilli powder. The pasta was soggy and tasted like water with some tomato. It was completely inedible because of all of the chilli powder. Me and my partner enjoy spice but in this case there was no flavour at all except for the powder covering the whole plate. We had a few bites and as soon as we put the fork down staff were of course rushing to grab the plates after watching closely whilst we were eating (or trying to eat). They asked what was wrong which we replied it was inedible, to which we received ‘awww sorry… do you want desert’. No customer service or politeness. Perhaps it was our age that made them be so uncaring, and we wondered if we were older they may be more sensitive and asked us how they could help. Still had to pay for the mains despite being inedible and leaving full plates of food. I must also mention the loudness of the music in the restaurant, we couldn’t hear each other.

Wounded most depressing kebab I’ve ever had £11.10 for a donner kebab chips chilli sauce and pickled chillis the garlic sauce was off the chilli sauce didn’t taste of much pickled chillies were flat soggy and old pitta was stale chips were nice donner meat was old and dry very disappointing was starving as well gutted

I ordered 20 minutes before closing time, some of the cheese from my pizza was stuck to the top of the box but did I care? NO! Been ordering from Pav’s my entire life and everytime I come back to Boro they never let me down - always good tasting affordable food! P.s the delivery driver was very lovely so thankyou!

A great pizzeria in the heart of Marske. We had two delicious pizzas and the garlic knots and every bite was perfection. Beautiful decor and friendly service too.
