Goa Balti Spice in Bolton

Had four delicious hot curries delivered off Goa balti spice in December ordered New Years Eve early evening our two curries were delivered COLD warmed curry up but onion bargies and naan had to be thrown so sorry won't risk it again

Almost 2hours wait for cold and part of our order the finally turn up. Shocking service. Order at your own risk! Left hungry and very frustrated.

As a bus driver on the 575 route i was stopped outside Goa Balti as the lights was on red. The chef inside picked his nose with his bare hands and like a lil kid wiped his nose with the back of his hands and then on his red t shirt he had on. And carried on doin what he was doing without washing his hands.

I was a regular customer of this place for almost 20yrs and generally found it very good, but the last meals we've had from there have been decidedly awful. A few hours after one visit and I had my head down the crapper, hawking back up a House Special Biriani. I wasn't too sure if that was the actual cause of my illness, so a week or so later, we ordered the same dish and I was ill again...exactly the same. The only time you'd get me too go here again is if I needed to lose rapid weight or there was a gun held to my head.

Got a takeaway from here a few days ago, don’t normally bother writing review but it literally tasted rancid like something in it had gone off, the chicken was also really dry and chewy not just like over cooked but like it had been left out too long or something, threw it all in the bin. Used to be good but steer clear now unless you want to get ill!

As a new customer, very disappointed. Although the food was warm and ok the service was aweful. Ordered through just eat, around 5pm for 7:15/7:30 home delivery, cannot get through on the phone as shop not answering, so at 8:10 decided to call in and collect as we'd paid online. To find them bagging up customer orders, saying we're busy. No refund of delivery charge, just given 2 popadoms. Up to you but we WONT be returning

Fantastic, very tasty food, not greasy and well presented. Had friends round so tried several dishes, all were outstanding. This is definitely our new go to Indian takeaway!

Ordered at 8:15 for deliver at 9:15. Restaurant immediately put 10 mins on order. At 9:30 contacted just eat, they added 10 mins on...Then they added another 10 mins on. Food came at 10:00. Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened!!!! Shame the food is alright. Avoid.

The food is the most authentic/delicious I've had outside of India. Never had a bad meal from here: the paneer sides and chana chat puri are particularly tasty.

terrible service, food was delivered an hour and 25 mins late after 4 phone calls being told it was on the way. finally it arrived cold with two parts missing. no apology or offer of refund. used to be a great place to get food from, now I’d rather share pedigree chum with the dog.

Great early delivery all items there. Apart from the onion bhajis being dry everything else was great. Would recommend.

I used to order food from here quite a bit and it was always great. recently had a very bad experience. food was due to be delivered at 9.30, rang at 9.41 and spoke to someone (who’s customer service skills were shocking) he said it was on its way with a new driver, and he’s got lost. rang again at 9.55 food still not here, I couldn’t be given an explanation at all except a lot of erming. finally food arrived at 22.10 which was late anyway but to add insult to injury this took 30 mins to arrive at my door for a journey that should take 8 mins max, therefore food was cold and to annoy me even further 1 of the items was missed - this takeaway has certainly gone down the hill! the guy on the phone couldn’t of given a hoot about his customer considering I was spending £25!!!

The food was ok but it was really late with stuff missing. The guy didn't apologise about the delay when I called, he just blamed a delivery driver for not turning up. we then realised there was rice missing so rang back, he just said well there's nothing I can do because by the time the driver gets back to you it will be too late! he did offer to knock it off next time but I doubt there will be a next time after this so I will just have to take the loss!

over an hour late. On ringing take away I was told that the delivery driver had left with the order. A further half hour later still no food. Tried to ring the take away but it was permanently engaged. Food eventually turned up, driver said he had just left and the food was cooked hot. It wasn't. Wanted to cancel order but had paid by card via Just Eat. Almost impossible to get money back. Lesson learnt.

Terrible food. Badly cooked bhaji, basic korma over sweet and bland, wrong drinks delivered, onion salsa off(or mass produced and poor quality). Delivered on time, but would rather had a refund as we didnt eat much. Not good at all.

this is the second time we had ordered form here, the food was fresh and good delivery time. my only complaint is that the size seams to have reduced between my first and second order

Had two meals from this place, on both occasions I have had terrible pains in my stomach, and severe bowl movments that lasted several days. I leav you to draw your own conclusions as to why this is, but reported it to enviromental health. You should see the state of the back of where the food is delivered into this establishment.

First time ordering from here after being dissappointed with Saturday night service from orher outlets! Reviews were excellent so went ahead and ordered. Was not sissapointed at all. Food arrived after 40 mins which was 10 mins earlier than expected. Food was hot and full of flavour. Superb all round. Will definately be ordering again

We have been using this takeaway for years and can vouch that you won't be disappointed with the consistency of service and quality of the food on offer. The portions are always generous and served with a smile. Try the chicken tikka shashlick you won't be disappointed. We have had this in restaurants and it has never been has good as Goa's.

When we are looking for an Indian takeaway this is our place of choice. The menu is varied and the outcome is usually very very good. A number of takeaways choose to use reformed meat which is cheaper to buy but ruins the meal. They did this for a while here and the food went downhill but that was about 2 years ago and they thankfully use proper decent ingredients these days. We have used this takeaway for around 10 years or so. The staff are friendly and by the way, if you order delivery it arrives piping hot! In fact I think we may order another tonight!!!!

Called up demanding more money for delivery, after I already paid the charge on the app. Delivery driver was rude when delivering as well. Won't use again. Food was average, service terrible and rude.

This has to be the best Indian food I have eaten outside of India!! So authentic. So tasty. Ordered two sides of saag paneer,mutter paneer, Bhajis, stuffed paranther and rice, all for under £13. It Served two adults with a portion left over for tomorrow. Definitely good value for money. I would recommend these dishes to all vegetarians and non vegetarians.

We have regularly got food from here over a number of years now. The food is always good. The set meals are great, and my wife and I share a set meal for 1 between us - and we are full afterwards! Keep up the good work Goa Balti Spice!!

This place has recently upped its game, tonight's order was very good, the madras was tasty without being painful to eat and has lots of well cooked chicken tikka. By a mile the best in Horwich and Blackrod.

Always great food. Bhaji's were a little over cooked on this occasion, but the rest of the food was great.

22 mins late, and no apology when I mentioned it to the delivery driver - he just laughed

Usually a brilliant take away ordered our normal garlic chicken tikka kebab and was nothing like they normally are! To the point where I'm wondering do they have a new chef? If so sack him and bring the other back. The chicken was dry the onions burnt and the naan bread omg was dry hard and mine had a giant hole in so big I would not eat it as a kebab. I feel bad leaving this review as I love goa and have had amazing food for years.. Sorry to say this has lost a customer
