Ordered from just eat really been looking forward to this since seeing a post on fb Arrived on time but was stone cold tried to heat up but that made the beef and chips hard and totally rotten. Spent 17.60 will not be reordering

The curry was really tasty. We had chicken green and beef with red paste and holy basil. My only complaint is that the veg was slightly over cooked and the S&P chips were soggy. The also are starting doing smash burgers and included two samples which were really good! Fast delivery, polite staff. Support your local businesses!

Possibly the worse Thai I have ever tried in my life. The Thai green curry was watery and beige and the meat wasn't seasoned. The satay chicken was salty and so oily it leaked through the bag. Not authentic at all, not even close. Save your money.

For one reason in another we haven't ordered from this excellent Thai takeaway for a few months. It was long overdue so we ordered enough for two meals and it was fantastic. The menu is varied and interesting and every dish we've had from it has been authentic and excellent. it is authentic Thai cooking at its best and the portions are fairly good and spiced tea or taste The pork green curry was a standout, as was the king prawn with basil. We often get some Thai prawn crackers to supplement the food as these go really well. We get it delivered as it is someway from us and the services, fast and reliable. Highly recommended.

Never had thai food before but I'm glad I had this the most flavorful tastiest food I've ever had this guy deserves a medal I havnt tasted anything so good my taste spuds was having a party I loved every bite I can't complain one bit worth every penny I couldn't stop eating it I've tried another of food and this is something different worth every penny ide be lying if I scored this any lower than a 10/10 makes me wanna go to Thailand to try there food cause can't lie there food was magical

I've been coming here for ages and normally love it, but on my last collection the receptionist had his hand down the front underwear. Adds to the flavour I guess. In response. Im genuinely not trying to trash your business, I was shocked to see it.

Not authentic anymore. In the past red curry fried rice was a lovely fragrant dish. It is still not bad but definitely not the same.

This is a place we’ve been using since it opened and we’ve had some great takeaways over the years. This latest always the best yet and will mean we will be using them again sooner rather than later. Ordering is easy either online or over the phone. We allow plenty of time as they get very busy, but they do deliver even though we are about 4 miles away. The chicken with basil was the stand out, but the other three or four dishes we had were also excellent. They will make it spicy if you like it that way and the portions are of a decent size.

Ordered online and it said delivery would be an hour, food came within half an hour and was hot and delicious. Will definitely order again, thanx

I’d give 0 stars but that isn’t possible, delivery woman was rude my food came and it was inedible, the “sticky” rice came like a brick and the Thai green curry came watery as anything and it didn’t smell normal at all I didn’t even trust eating it, the chips smelt awful and looked awful too, would definitely not recommend this place at all it’s a scam, to make things worse whenever I try to ring to complain the number forwards me straight to voicemail, never been so disappointed in a restaurant in my life 🤮

Fantastic take out, food is really tasty and good value and portions. Not used as often more recently because out of the delivery area but worth the trip out now and then. Keep up the good work.

I've ordered several times in the past and the food's always been delicious. Sadly, I moved out of the area but got takeaway a month ago and it's still great - the chicken pad siewe is especially good.

This is a place we use fairly often and we always enjoy the food from there. This time, the food took over 2 hours to come as they were busy so do order well in advance. To be fair, we were warned it would be over an hour and a half when we placed a telephone order. The food was really good as usual. We had guests round and every single one of them really enjoyed it and no doubt will use this company in the future. The red and green curries were both great and were the 1st to go. They will spice it to your liking as well which really improves the food in my opinion. The home delivery service is great and the driver very friendly and professional.

Terrible, two items missing, over 1 hour late and seriously salty food. Tried them a few times and in the past was always late, thought I would try one more time but poor again!

This used to be my favourite takeaway & reminded me of when I was in Thailand as the food tasted authentic. Fast forward a few years and it seemed that the opening hours very never accurate; calling during stated opening hours-not open, visiting during stated opening hours-shutters down. This was pre-covid and unfortunately it seems Covid has had a further impact. I was really looking forward to having food from here when I was craving Thai and I'm sad to say it was disappointing. My order did not taste how it should have done, it was extremely salty and I could not eat it. I don't know if it relates to it being cooked by British people, as opposed to previously being cooked by Thai people. The salt & pepper chips from here are delicious though! Absolutely recommend. I would try from here again but I will order Red or green curry next time. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly. The inside is decorated like a street food truck and a sheet of glass separates the chefs from the customer, so you can watch your meal being prepared. They only accept cash so be prepared when you go.

By far the best Thai take away we have been to and we have tried a lot. 15 minute drive for us to get there but totally worth it. Normal prices too which is good.

Excellent food and customer service

Very disappointing, ordered at 5. 25 pm rang at 6.35. As still not arrived having been told it will be there within the hour, finally arrived at 7.15 pm. Order wrong. Food was tasty but portion sizes not great ie 5 chicken wings, not the meaty bit ! £4.70. Really wanted to enjoy this, sadly we didn't. Won't be ordering again.

Just had a takeaway this evening, really disappointed and not impressed with the food I received. My veg satay starter was just a few veg in a tray ... no peanut sauce, & the veg yellow curry container was half full. Very poor for £12.70 rang up to inform, was offered to return for something else, but to be brutally honest after looking at the diabolical quality I didn’t see the point of doing a 30 minute round trip for a replacement meal. Won’t go again or recommend.

Tonge Thai has been highly recommended to me by friends for many years, so i chose to order food the other night, my Dad over from Malaysia and he likes Thai food, I was looking forward to a great meal. The staff are so lovely, very polite clean shop, the food cost £50 which was a little expensive but I don't mind paying. My dad said his green curry was okay but didn't contain the normal type of veg but taste wise okay, I had a Bangkok soup bowl Laksa I was so disappointed it looked nothing like the picture it was a very watery coconut base with not much taste and very limited on veg ,carrot and green beans the picture shows so much more big prawns herbs and veg, I tipped the noodles into the sauce it was very bland, hubby didn't like his yellow curry either, as i said staff really nice but not the Thai people as in the web pictures and the food was nothing like the pictures either we had some prawns they were so small, i have to say though the chicken wings were delicious, but it was the Laksa i was looking forward too, would i go again probably not.

Every time we have a takeaway from here we have commented on just how good it is. Prompt and professional delivery service and authentic Thai food – what more can you asked for! The portions aren’t the biggest but are delicious and still offer good value for money in my opinion. There is a great range in the menu and some things you don’t see very often. We always try and have things we’ve not eaten before and have not been disappointed yet.

I tried Tonge Thai for the first time tonight and it was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were so friendly. I can’t wait to start working my way through the menu items as they all look so nice Thank you guys for a lovely meal 😀

Amazing food!!! I only ordered the thai fried rice (with various meats or veggies) and rice noodles so far but I am so impressed with how delicipus the food is! The portions are huge, I usually eat 3 times from 1 takeaway so that's a bonus. Totally recommend!

Ordered from here tonight as we fancied something different. Straight away on the phone I was advised there was over an hours wait for collection but liked the menu so was willing to wait. So glad we did! Arrived to see my food being cooked fresh from pots of fresh ingredients in the open kitchen. The smells coming at me were amazing. We ordered a Satay and garlic and pepper starter and they were phenomenal. The flavours were dancing around my mouth and from the first bite to the last I was impressed. For my main I got a beef cashew stir fry. The veg was crunchy and fresh, the beef cooked perfectly with no fat and the jasmine rice was light and sticky, just how it should be. The other half had the Pad Tonge Thai special. She says it was the best thai meal she has had. The whole lot cost just under £30 so comparable with other takeaways. If you like Thai/Asian food then I recommend you give his place a try, Order early though, when I arrived at 8ish tonight they had been forced to stop taking orders as they'd not be able to fulfil them in time... I'll be going back.

This was by far the worst food ever the chicken was over dried and chewy the noodles was extremely sweet and tacky we all literally vomited after two spoons there are far better tasting Chinese take in Bolton don't waste your money on Tonge Thai takeaway

We waited 1.30 hours for food delivery, it taste like it was cooked in pool water not worth money its was SO slow idk how you got a five review it should be 0

We phoned as we were passing the restaurant And saw it was open. We didn’t know what to order, so we had the food recommended by the owner who was patient and listened to what we liked. We went with two noodle dishes, a rice dish and chilli beef stater. Everything was amazing, the best Thai food we’ve had in years and will definitely be going back as regulars, everyone including the kids had clean plates. It was fresh, the kitchen was clean and well presented, thank you for a lovely meal!

Because this latest visit was during the lockdown period we ordered more food than normal so it lasted us two meals. It isn’t the cheapest takeaway to do this from but the quality is so high it offers good value for money indeed. It does get very busy so allow plenty of time if you want your order delivered. The service is superb and everyone of the dishes we had was really good. They will make it spicy if that’s what you like and the dishes are pretty authentic The green curry is a standout and is probably our favourite.

Whilst the dishes tastes amazing the portion sizes where absolutely ridiculous, we ordered 3 chilli beef starters and including the tray served the highest weight was 150 grams. I will not be returning

Ordered a mixture of starters and some salt and pepper chips. All the food was Luke warm so needed re heating the chips didn’t have any salt and pepper spice on them they were just soggy fries.

Just been looking through previous reviews - the attitude of the staff in relation to customer complaints is not satisfactory - plain rude and definitely shows the true standard of the place - poor standards - hopefully a new management replacement would fix this issue instead of them arguing through reviews about quality of product - my rating - 1 star out of 5 -

Ordered via Justeat. Rang Tonge Thai to confirm delivery time. Said it would be within the hour. Two and a half hours later it arrived. The delivery man - I think the owner - seemed to think a bag of prawn crackers was compensation for the lateness. When I grumbled he said, "Do you want the food or not". He was aggressive and knew where I lived. Never again.

We use this place a lot and it never lets us down. It is very handy that, for nominal charge, they will deliver to BL1 postcodes. The food is authentic and freshly cooked. True, it is a little more expensive than most takeaways but still offers value for money. This is quality food without a doubt . The green curry is especially good but with yet to find a dish that we don’t like. Allow plenty of time for your order as it can get busy but they are accurate in telling you when it will arrive. Collection, of course, is always an option!

Food was okay. Certainly has the Asian taste (not particularly authentic Thai), especially the vegan dishes certainly need a lot more improvement. Portion sizes can be better too.

Ordered and collected, ready in half an hour, food was very tasty and portions generous but not over facing, this is now our favourite takeaway, absolutely delicious.

Our first time having a delivered meal from Tonge Thai. They were recommended by a couple of friends. Ordered by phone and delivery was approx 45 mins. The portions looked quite small. My wife found a hair in the first carton she opened so it put her off eating anything. I found a hair in the rice but I carried on regardless (hungry). After microwaving my food (it was lukewarm) it was ok.I found nearly £30 was an expensive meal for one.

I have just been here tonight for first time. Called in ordered Thai salt and pepper chicken wings, Thai green curry and sticky rice. Was ready in no time. I was so pleased with it. It was delicious. I’ve always wanted to try here and I’m so glad I did. I will definitely be going back 😊

Great takeaway, pretty healthy, good portions and very good value. Pad kwitee prik is highly recommended. All veg is fresh and there isn't too much sauce to drown the rest of the ingredients. Parking just down the street. They only take cash (cash machine just down the road).

Tonge Thai is my favourite take away by far. The food is always, fresh and unbelievably tasty... there is sometimes a wait, but this is because all the food is cooked fresh to order and you can actually watch it being made while you wait. The food is restaurant quality and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it!

The food is good but expensive. Often closed on days when it is advertised as open. Too close to happy house which does excellent food and is always open as advertised.

We have never tried Thai before and we were initially dubious as to whether we’d find anything that suited our less spicy tastes. We were not disappointed! The food was beautifully cooked and came early, we will be eating again!

We where recommended to try this takeaway by a friend, ordered on line from their popular menu, the delivery took about an hour which was advised on their site.

Getting worse.. This place about a year ago had nothing but Thai people cooking and the food it was amazing.. Now its full of English reading off there recipes. Its lost its authentic touch and the food is nothing compared to how it use to be. Very disappointed with the change..... It has slowly been getting worse from Christmas 2017 the food was amazing before then. And I would never eat from Jamie's Italian for the exact reason, he is not Italian. When I go out for a meal I expect the person who is cooking my food, to be from the same country as the dish I have ordered. I wouldn't order jerk chickin from my local curry house.. it isn't authentic..

The food from here is just getting better all the time with new additions to the menu,. Topped fries with chilli beef, garlic pepper chicken salt n pepper chicken etc I had chilli beef and WOW! The green curry My wife had was lovely and just the right levels of spice for her, I just cannot fault the food in anyway it’s by far the best takeaway around I cant get enough and anyone who says different needs a tastebud transplant

Heard fantastic things, had the Thai Green Curry which was the best I have ever had. Husband got garlic chicken topped fries. My mouth is actually watering writing this!! It was sooo good. Contemplating for tea again tonight 😋 absolute gem of a place.

Paid over £20 for food that is absolutely disgusting. Called to complain but the manager shouted ‘I am cooking’ Darren needs to step away from the cooker. Asked for fries but they don’t sell them separately (even though they had a massive pile of them) so told to go to the chippy next door....which was closed. The Thai green curry is just slop, no taste, no depth of flavour and grey!! The rice is hard and inedible. Should have just thrown the £20 in the recycling bin. Thankfully I did call at the chippy so at least have something edible to eat. Do not order from hear it’s complete wasted money!!!

How the hell did I not know about this place?!?! This was some of the finest Thai food I’ve ever had. Every piece of our takeaway from the Soup to the Pad Thai was fresh and absolutely delicious.

The service is shockingly slow. From Ramsbottom in clear traffic we had been told the food would take 40 minutes. I arrived on time. It took another 40 mins. At the end as the food was finally arriving and after excuse after excuse, I was advised that the card machine was out with the driver. I left a review on Facebook only to be abused by their profile, stating I was a liar about the card machine and they never took cards before, only on delivery - how would I know this? The owner takes straightforward feedback extremely personally. He kept trying to say its effectively worth the wait as the food is amazing. It really isn't. Its ok, but is priced at about £10 for a takeaway more than very decent restaurants like the Eastern Eye, for very comparable food. He needs to realise that appalling service leads to an awful experience and nobody wants to lose 2 hours on a Friday night, half of which is spent in his grotty, seat less, cold reception area. You can't even get a drink while you wait. It was just awful. Had he responded positively, I would never have left a review but I fear others will just get the same poor experience.

This takeaway is on the other side of town for us so takes quite a while to drive there. This never puts us off though as the food is consistently excellent and about as authentic as you can get.

Absolutely love it. The food taste exactly the same everytime we have had it (a lot!). The green curry is the best I have ever had. It's a bit steeper than your average takeaway but it's always really fresh. The veg in the meals is crunchy and you don't feel bloated afterwards. A definite 5* takeaway for me.

First time trying this place tonight, and all I can say is I will be back. Everything I ordered was amazing.

After an hour and a half I got the two meals and crackers. It was really rubbish compared to when I first had it. Mostly noodles and bland. Paid £2 for crackers and they forgot the sauce. Really dissatisfied

TONGUE THAI is my new favourite take away! The staff are always very friendly, the food has always arrived within time. It's fresh, hot, well priced and incredibly tastey 😋

Vinimos aquí para mi cumpleaños - sólo 4 de nosotros y tener ordenados nuestros tragos en el bar nos sentamos en una mesa. Sólo había 1 otra familia en aparte de nosotros así que esperábamos para ser servido con bastante rapidez. Una joven salió de la cocina y se ocupó de la otra familia, dejándome sus platos y ordenación de su factura. Entonces ella desapareció de vuelta a la cocina por cinco minutos y salió de nuevo sólo para enredar en la factura. Probablemente fue de unos 10 minutos de entrar que el decidido traer algunos menús y servirnos. Dicho esto, una vez que pedimos no nos podíamos quejar de la comida. Fue fantástico y todos disfrutamos de todo lo que pedimos, un poco extraño que no mucho después de entrar éramos las únicas personas en la mayoría de las noches había muy poco ambiente. Aunque la comida era fantástica, no creo que volvería a ir de nuevo como el medio local pub/restaurante medio de instalación no funcionaba para mí.

Excelente servicio, difícil de criticar. La comida era de muy alto nivel y sabroso, pero me pareció un poco salado a diferencia de su comida para llevar en el tiem Moor Road, que creo que es un poco mejor.

Visité recientemente con amigos. La comida estaba bien, pero no es tan bueno como lo recordaba. Decidimos pedir una llevar como en la zona, pero cuando llegamos al conocimiento de nuestra Henighans orden fue denegada. Resulta que el no en mi móvil era de la Señora original tailandés que comenzó en Henighans. Luego descubrimos que ella ahora trabaja de siete estrellas pub en Harwood. Finalmente conseguí mi llevar y fue increíble.

La comida es absolutamente deliciosa! Tiempo de entrega rápido también :) no me puedo quejar de este lugar pedimos comenzó y principal, el tamaño de la porción es muy grande, que sólo puede ser una buena cosa :).

We order from here at least once a week if not twice for a treat!! The food is lovely, we have tried various and always very happy with portion size and flavours, although we have our favourite, penang curry is unbelievable!! The girl on the phone is brilliant, always polite and gets the order spot on every time, never had a wrong order which I have in other take aways! Thought it was about time I put a reveiw on as I have recommended it to everyone I know already!! Brilliant food, well served, good work tonge Thai!!

Been a few times now. The food is outstanding. My friend and myself share our starters and main so get lots to taste. The chef is outstanding at cooking king prawn. Had them in satay sauce - to die for. Garlic and chilli and lemon grass tonight. Yummy! Tried the different tia curry's all fab. Everything is so fresh. You really can't go wrong in whatever you order. Promise you won't be disappointed. Two courses a tenner Tuesday Wednesday. It's robbery. Head of house will advice you if your not sure. Ambeance is really relaxing. I'm not being paid for this review honest. Just think they deserve the good comments. Thank you gor our lovely meals gill and gwen

Been here a few times and tried lots of different dishes and have never been disappointed. Its a little pricey for a takeaway but they are clearly quality ingredients cooked by experienced Thai chefs. Having spent some time in Thailand and loving the cuisine I can safely say this is the closest food to actual Thai street food.... wonderful- full of exciting flavours and textures. I cant rate the place enough.

Tonge Thai has rapidly become our first choice when that "Can't be bothered cooking" moment strikes. Fast delivery. Seafood starter wonderful, squid cooked to perfection. Their Pad Thai is unique. Curries range from mild up to Jungle curry. Wow!! Portions large and we always end up ordering enough for lunch next day.

Excellent quality Thai food and fresh consistent portions. My favourite are the soups! We enjoy it so much we have it weekly..not the best for our waistlines .

I am new to Thai Food and wasn't sure what to order, the guy serving me was very informative and asked me what I liked and if I preferred spicy food and then suggested several dishes. I will definatly return the food was excellent and I could see it being cooked through the theatre style theme.The kitchen and customer area was fitted out to a very high standard and I noted the official 5 star rating rating.
