Thai Kitchen in Bolton

The food is always excellent. I tried the jars of homemade sauce receintly, what a revelation. I have made Thai Sweet and Sour Chicken, Vegetable Green Thai Curry and I am going to make a Red Thai Chicken Curry this weekend for friends.

Our favourite takeout, lucky to have this on our doorstep. Food is always fresh and tastes amazing. Love the salmon options as a pescatarian.

5 star food again last night. I get the chicken pad grapow and it's absolutely stunning. I don't think I've tasted a better dish anywhere in the world. they are always happy to do it to our specification as me and my daughter are awkward buggers. 5 star food. First time ordering from Thai kitchen and we wasn’t disappointed, it was absolutely delicious! The portion size was definitely value for money and the flavours were spot on! Starters were chicken satay skewers with dip and mains were chicken panang with jasmine rice and chicken fried rice. We can’t wait to go back and try a different dish.

Ordered two Tom yum soups and spring rolls. The soups were lacking any basic Thai ingredients, no galangal, no lemon grass. Couldn't even taste any garlic. Honestly could have just been a stock paste with onions & coriander. Spring rolls had no seasoning at all just intensely bland. Prawns in Tom yum were good to be fair but overall bad let down considering the reviews

We called the Thai Kitchen and asked for the Chefs recommendations for suitable dishes for the family (including kids 8/11 years). We were absolutely blown away! Every dish was stunning and packed with flavour. I can quite honestly say it’s the nicest take away we’ve had for years! The children cleaned their plates, veg and all. We will be coming back as regulars. Could not recommend highly enough! 5*

£43 order. Won ton soup quite tasteless. Starter share platter, most won tons over cooked,everythin tasted old not fresh. Pad Thai worst ive ever had,my description very claggy no sauce no flavour,chicken over cooked chewy , . What a waste of money.

Fabulous food. Great prices, my fave is the Thai green veg curry. Its to die for. Also their prawn crackers, not bog standard one you get from anywhere. I don't know what they do with them but they taste amazing.

Been Thai Kitchen a couple of times now and always really impressed! The Thai green curry is as good as anything you’ll actually get in Asia and if you ask to have it spicy, it’s actually spicy! Not to mention the portion sizes are massive, I even had enough for my lunch the day after. Great food, whenever I’m up that way I’ll be going again 100%.

I visit Thai kitchen for a takeaway regularly. I suppose because I am always used to outstanding, tasty true authentic Thai dishes I forget to write a review. I have just recently become vegan. No problem at Thai kitchen, Pech created me a georgous and aromatic tofu jungle curry...super delicious! I also ordered a Thai laab spicy salad wow spicy, crunchy and fresh. I am saving this for a Friday lunch tomorrow. My husband had seafood with oyster sauce, pork toasts and noodles also a lovingly made dish with bags of Thai spice punch and flavour. Will I be going back? 100% it's my favourite Thai food fix that reminds me of being in Koh Tao.

I'd been looking forward to trying this after reading all the reviews and was quite disappointed really, The hot and sour soup was nice but my Garlic and pepper stir fry with chicken wasn't what I'd expect of a stir fry, the chicken was really overcooked and chewy and not a lot of veg but lots of liquid. My partner ordered the Jungle curry with mixed seafood and said the seafood was also over cooked. Nothing really to make me want to go back for more. Especially considering the price. A shame really as it's local.

Really really enjoyed this meal! Fragrant and delicious curries with very generous portion sizes. Tasted very fresh and much nicer than usual takeaway standard. Also very accommodating with allergies and vegan food! Highly recommend and will be returning soon!

Read and heard good things but really disappointed. Had the Prig Geng and sauce was just oil, dish was so greasy that I had to drain and eat with as little sauce as possible. Disappointing.

We visited on 13/09/19 for a farewell family meal to celebrate my partner's sister leaving to travel South East Asia with her partner.We had visited once before in June as a couple and had raved about the food so much we had decided to come back with our family!We shared 2 of the meal-platter starters at £11.95 between 6 of us and it was plentiful! Lots of thai prawn crackers and lots of little mini starters to try with different dips! Tasted amazing & was nice to be ble to try a few different starters!We all had differing main meals at different spice levels to suit our tastebuds, I was the wimp with the Mild flavouring & it was absolutley spot on - one of the best Thai Green Currys I have had in ages!The staff are so welcoming and helpful.It is a small restaurant area so booking in advance is deffo recommended.It is dated in decor in some places but do not be fooled by its appearance as the food is out of this world!The only downside to our meal was the family sat next to us who appeared to be regulars! They were continuously making remarks about fellow diners and laughing between themselves. Really felt that they brought the atmosphere down considerably for me. I wasn't sat directly next to them and i could still hear their derogatory remarks.This has not however lessened my opinion of the restaurant itself which is truly fantastic & will definitley be worth the 40 minute journey to get there more regularly!!!!Thank you for 2 fantastic meals, we will absolutley be back again soon!

This place is a gem. I had the drunken noodles, which were great, and the other three folks in my party loved their meals as well. The restaurant was surprisingly empty when we visited. Hope people come out and support this spot so they can continue provide top-notch Thai food to the region.

The decor may not be to everyone's taste but the food will be, Good selection of Thai dishes, at reasonable prices. Arrived to find no tables spare but soon got a table, added from the bar area and ordered food. Food is served quickly, a substantial amount and is tasty and delicious, Well worth a visit and the staff are friendly as well.

We enjoyed a king prawn penang and chicken thai red curry with perfect steamed rice. The flavours were gorgeous with just the right level of spice and very authentic. All served piping hot by a really friendly guy. Definitely deserves 5 stars. The staff behind the bar were super friendly too

Lived in Thailand...have Thai spouse.. and we both agree served one of the most enjoyable Thai meals we have had.Walked into a most unassuming pub near Bolton. Staff at bar very helpful pleasant and homely. Advised Thai Kitchen a separate entity from bar. Room was full of dinners. Nice relaxed atmosphere in comfortable surrounds obviously family orientated. Food ordered but obviously systematically producing food on first come first served. Husband(waiter) and Thai wife(cook) methodically operating but exceptionally organised and supporting each other.Good selection and food produced of superb quality, plentiful proportions and deliciously tasting. Wow factor.Already have our menu choice selected for our next visit and very soon it will be. Thank you and see you soon.

Came with my friend for my first visit, even though from the area originally. I had heard good reports about the Thai restaurant. The pub has had a lick of paint since my last visit. The main courses I tried thai hot and it was very hot so be warned - I would stick to medium or hot. I wasn't keen on the starters but that may be me. I am not keen on fried foods and it upsets my stomach. There isn't much wine choice which the pub could do with reviewing . The gin choice is excellent which I noticed but I am not a gin drinker. My friend would have preferred a french white / argentinian/ chilean. Prosecco was lovely at £15 per bottle. Avoid Saturday night it is karaoke . Friday night is band night and there are some really good bands on. The lovely lady who cooks the thai food is amazing

10th visit now and have to say being huge foodies this is THE BEST Thai experiance you can get in the UK. Not to mention value for money and outstanding service. Surroundings for some may not reach city centre expectation but if it is about the food you have to experience this.Fresh authentic ingredients, cooked to order with genuine fierce heat if you dare. Soups and curry formed from the most beautiful consomme and as clear a crystal. Cant rate this place high enough for food. Never had a bad meal yet.

Great food and LARGE portions (at least what we ordered) very friendly staff, we mentioned to a lady that it is our first time on Thai restaurant and she was explaining some dishes to us and describing the Thai food in general GREAT! you order a drinks at pub which is part of the whole thing and wait for the meal. We had starter in 10 mins! superfast didnt even have time to drink my pint. The main course was massive and my missus took it home to finish a day after, it was no problem with that either. Little warning though if you think you brave enough to go for super spicy option: Thai hot! be warned lol. In general 5/5 stars defo going back again or ordering to take away

I’ve not had a Thai that good in awhile. Food was amazingly fresh and home cooked. The portions were generous too which is always better. Set in an old style English pub they put a modern twist in the restaurant with fresh wallpaper etc. They had a great little outside area as well very well decorated. We were recommended and 7 of us went last night. We were certainly not disappointed. Food was fantastic, it was perfectly spiced and had masses of flavour. Really well priced and very generous servings. Service was great and the chef/owner came out to see us and she was lovely. We will definitely be going back

We had a lovely meal here, the service was attentive and the food was delicious. We have been a couple of times before and on a Tuesday you can get 2 Thai curries, either red green or yellow with or without chicken as well as rice for £12.95, which I think is great value. You can also choose whether you wanted it be mild medium hot or very hot. I went with medium and my wife went with very hot which she said was really nice. We also had a starter of deep fried vegetables which were crunchy and tasty. We’ve been before with our children as well who enjoyed the children’s meal options including chicken Satay. Drinks come from the pub side of the business and are reasonably priced as well. I’m not a Thai food expert but I enjoy my food and this is one of my favourite eateries with great food and good value what more could you ask for?

We visited Thai Kitchen on NYE and had a great family meal. We booked a table for 18:30 and it was ready for us as we walked in, the service was swift and friendly and the food was excellent even my son’s children’s meal looked good. I can’t wait to return.

We’ve eaten here before so we decided to take our family here with children as its very child friendly, the food is amazing and all our guests enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend thai food lovers to try out Thai Kitchen. Being vegetarians its hard to find variety but Thai Kitchen had many options to choose from, the spice and flavours are spot on. We will definitely be going again and again!!

First time we've visited here, ordered the Thai mixed platter and the Pad grapow and the Prig Geng. All the food was really nice, mains especially. Staff were really friendly and happy to talk us through the menu. Definitely on the hot side but the waiter warned us beforehand so we chose med-hot spice. Tasted as good or better than other local Thai restaurants and we would definitely return.
