Usually a great place ..staff friendly and have been few times last time got full refund..food was not cooked and sauces left in heat and cutlery dirty tables dirty and old and highchair was filthy..staff were not interested when asked to get clean cutlery wipe table or food was not cooked..took a phone call.to head office to get the refund we were promised 2 wks later ...would go again but will be ringing head office if no improvement ....used to love this place ..carpark had nappies in and rubbish ..

Such a friendly family pub. Staff are welcoming and the find is great. Play area for children and the pub feels spacious. Plenty of car parking too. The food menu has lots of choices and there are deals for discounted meals on certain days of the week.

Three times they gave us the wrong meals, eventually my son who is type 1 diabetic had to eat the last one even though it wasn't what I had ordered . We won't be eating here again.

Cold food, both of our plates. Was tasty but that was the coleslaw!! The dog will enjoy the meat. Had to leave the chips and under cooked peas. Shame!!!

The team here went above and beyond helping us from booking to the day of my sisters 60th birthday . There were 16 of us and they were so efficient and quick and above all friendly. They made the birthday celebration perfect and every team member we met are a credit to The Gloster. We can't thank them enough

Lovely meal outside. My daughters loved playing on the play area while we waited for the food, which came put surprisingly fast. Really hot. Really tasty and great value for money!

We have come today and had a wounder meal . Potions are huge , and quality was fantastic. Our waitress amber went above and beyond to help us . We will definitely be coming back soon

Nathan was very kind and welcoming nice professional service. Food is delicious and well worth the price. The other staff can’t speak to highly off old chap walks around shouting orders at staff, blonde girl is more interested in chatting to her friends swearing very loudly in the middle of the bar.. all this while poor Nathan has been left to clear down the bar solo while other aimlessly walk about looking busy…. Never been here before passing thought but not sure I’d come back…. How lovely get home to their staff messages on my fb so professional

The food here is so lovely!! always well cooked. They always accommodate if you’re a fussy eater. The workers are very smiley especially Siobhan. Very lovely and caring waitress. Double checked if are food was okay very chatty and welcoming. Definitely someone hungry horse should keep!

Favourite lady is amazing and so helpful. A real credit to the company. Always cheerful and willing to help

Excellent pub - came here for the gluten free menu and was not disappointed. They do a great gluten free toasted sandwich, curry and dessert. Served by super friendly server Richard.

Brilliant food and excellent customer service

Food was lovely, coffee was a little cold but on the whole, good value for money and nice atmosphere.

On Wednesdays, the Gloster has a Curry and a Drink special. I got some decent veggie curry with naan and a really good pint for £9.99. Hard to beat that. Service was lightning fast, and I was able to sit outside in the evening sun. Good times!

Enjoyed a very tasty lunch today Mexican Pasta Salad with additional pan fried Salmon and sweet potatoes fries and a Lasagna and fresh salad. Both meals were delicious.

Our server Will was wonderful and a brilliant joke, made the meal taste ten times better

I ordered the full Monty grill and the chicken was taste quite funny and the rump steak that supposed to be medium rare (that what I requested), but it was more rare and very chewy, I couldn’t really order pudding alas my stomach felt a bit funny about 15 mins after I finished. The other there’re people dinner that we ordered were two chicken tikka masala and one chicken New Yorker. The chicken tikka masala were just alright, nothing really special at all (apparently the masala needs to be a bit thicker), the chicken New Yorker apparently was just alright and again, nothing really special at all. The pudding for the three people who ordered them were quite nice.

Good quality food at exceptional prices

Nothing special just a standard pub, quite large so not much atmosphere. Staff are friendly. It's got 3 cask ales on and they are all quite nice.

very nice place. liked the food, cozy, atmospheric, clean. it was my first time and I want to go there again, especially since the coffee was not bad either.

Food was prepared in microwave - did not feel like it was freshly cooked at all. Lacked taste and texture. Cocktails rather terrible - wouldn't order them again. Nice indoor feeling destroyed by very smelly toilet. Staff very friendly and helpful - that's on a plus side. Also need to admit the the food is very affordable.

First time eating good here and was surprised how good the food and service was

Visited on 19th Feb for a late lunch with my son. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Very large portions too (though I had the full monty mixed grill, so that's kind of expected). Candymania desert was an enormous tasty sugar hit, but again really reasonably priced. I can see why they describe it as for sharing, but we had one each and finished them (just in my case!). Every member of staff I spoke to seemed very nice, happy and helpful (without being intrusive), which really adds to the atmosphere. I like to be balanced in all reviews I do, but I am really struggling to find anything negative to say (even the car park was free and no registering your car nonsense). In short, highly recommended.

We went to take advantage of the kids eat for £1 deal but it can't be used in conjunction with any other offer and the £9 grill monday offer applies automatically so I was unable to have a grill meal which was what I wanted. In the end we went for the family eats for £15 meal which was two pub classics and 2 kids meal deals. It was OK. Food as expected for that tier of restaurant. Kids love it because of the playgarden so happy days

Came in last weekend with my friend and was served by Mat he has great customer service and came in tonight with 2 of my friends and was served again by Mat and served in the resteraunt by Callum cannot fault there customer service will definitely recommend this place! The toilets have now been fixed, the service is good. I did not eat but what I saw coming from the kitchen looked ok. Great improvement.

Starters and desserts were good but unfortunately the mains were terrible, my steak was way too fatty and unfortunately I was unable to eat it, the peppercorn sauce had a funny taste and my husband’s chicken was very dry. We spoke to an employee and they said it wasn’t their fault it was down to the supplier. Not sure we would have a main again.

We dropped into the Gloster as a family group of 7. It was a last minute booking and we needed somewhere with a bit of space. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick turnaround for the food and the staff were helpful, chatty and nice. I only gave 4 stars as the meals were as hot as we would have liked and we could have done with table service. Apart from that , we were all very impressed and will definitely be back again. Thank you team !

Lovely atmosphere when I found the pub. Visited with my fiancé and had an amazing meal. Definitely looking forward to seeing the team again in the future. Food was perfect my only requirement would be more veg choice with the roast dinner. As it was only peas and cauliflower which I don’t like but it’s not the end of the world. Great food, hot, very tasty 8/10

Friendly staff, large portions, good prices. What you expect from a hungry horse/green king chain pub. It was a little quiet, but we visited on a Thursday afternoon.

The food was really good enjoyed it except it got cold very quickly as we had to eat outside has we had a dog. I have not experienced this before and I have been in many green kings in various parts of the country. This is part of the reason we chose it . We already had drinks when we were told and were hungry eat and drink outside. I think you should not be advertising as dog friendly and make it clear dogs are not allowed inside.

Never go for Santa breakfast worst experience!

Nice enough chain pub with decent character, however the ale selection is poor, plenty of lagers though. The food menu has a wide and the portions are big, food is standard simple pub affair but decent value for money. The sports bar area is nice, they show plenty of games (and a variety of sports) and have big screens as well as a pool table and dart board available when it's less busy. Service is good and the staff are really friendly :) Mens toilets are always a bit of a state when I've been (smelly bad, missing locks, unclean) so that could do with improving

We have just had a meal at the Gloster from their festive menu yesterday. There were 16 of us including seven small children and I have to say the food was amazing. (and great value for money) The table was beautifully decorated for Christmas with crackers etc. The service was impeccable, and the whole team did their upmost to satisfy all of our needs with carefully spacing out the food between courses. Well done Gloster we will continue to be regular visitors.

The food came out incredibly quickly but it was cold, so assumed it had been plated up and sat on the side for a while. Sent that back. Food came out again but missing toast and jam. Told staff, he came back with toast and butter, no jam. Told him again and finally got right orders. Santa this year was AWFUL!!!!!!! The last two years, the Santa has been amazing, engaging with the kids, asking them questions, had a big scroll with the nice list. This year's didn't say a word to the kids, just mumbled something incoherent. The elf said more than he did. When the kids went to see him in his decorated corner, again, he didn't say anything, we had to instigate conversation between him and the kids. The present was a crappy little donkey, same for all ages. Awful, and a complete waste of money!! We will not be coming again unless reassured that it will be the original Santa, or a completely different one to this year at least!

They have special offers on Fridays, service is good

Wouldn’t waste your money on a Xmas dinner here. Camembert starter was over cooked and hard, Turkey tasted like wet cardboard, veg was overdone and tasteless, potato’s soggy, stuffing dry, the only good thing about it was that it ended.

Sorry to say I disliked the food which was pre booked. Even with pre booking our order took a while to come out. Mine was rather dry.

The staff here are absolutely brilliant and very personable. Be nice to them and they will absolutely return the favour.

Fairly limited food choices, quite a lot of quite basic, burgers, pub classics, fast junk foods, icecreams for most of the dessert options.

Yet again they pulled it out the bag 17 of us in total adults, children and bubbas, outstanding service again, always a pleasure and good value

Wasn't impressed with the food, portion size was vary small. Now I know why they were pushing extra portion at an extra cost. However the food was nice, and the mega onion ring tower was absolutely 💯. And the staff were rushed off their feet, and the service was outstanding.

The breckfast was disappointing. Eggs over cooked, sausages looked and tasted like they were cooked hours prior. We didn't enjoy it at all

Went to the halloween breakfast on Sunday morning to tie in with the Halloween activities in the town. Really excellent value the treats were fantastic and the food was brilliant. Really good value for money. I've booked the breakfast with santa at a greene king pub closer to home based in the excellent breakfast here. Was great to see all the staff dressed up. Would highly recommend

Always went here as a kid and returned on a trip back home. Cheap and good food and drink. Didnt remember the servers name who gave me the review card but he was really friendly and helpful when asking for extra. I visited on a Tuesday just before the pub quiz. I didnt get a chance to stay but it sounded like a good laugh

Where to start... please, ask your staff to at least pretend they are happy to see you.. as for cleanliness... well have NO expectations. Upon arrival multiple tables stacked high with dirty plates / glasses where people have left.. the cutlery drawer is a disgrace and a biohazard... please check or clean any cutlery before you use it... The portions were absolutely pitiful.. £10+ for a curry with 5 small pieces of chicken and a bit of rice... the chick pea curry was clearly aimed at childrens.. 4 spoons and its gone.. At no point did anybody ask how our meals were... Toilets are a cespit... need cleaning. The gents smelled so bad the door was propped open for ventilation... And before you feel this is just a disgruntled customer making a nasty review... please gonsee for yourself! Will not be revisiting as the place is a total embarrassment to the chain and brand!

They’re always great here. Literally the ONLY issues I have are corporate wide ones which are totally outside of this individual restaurants control. Why no breakfast in the week now? Why when I have always been able to use Tesco vouchers alongside existing deals can I no longer use Tesco vouchers alongside existing deals? They’re like wider “Green King” issues. This actual location the staff are really fast, the food is good and it’s just like “the best version” you’ll get from a green king pub. Use it all the time and would recommend

Steak full of gristle poor quality food given free pudding as an apology crumble was stodgy my main vegetarian lasagne looked like it had been microwaved many times will never go back food appalling 👎

Wish you would go back to individual candy mania had to have a sharer it was all chocolate about 2 blobs of vanilla then chocolate cream all over it Please pass this on .Why can't we have strawberry? You have outside looking nice now but inside definitely needs some cosmetic work doing. Staff lovely as usual . Was disappointed to be served dessert in chipped bowl.

OUTSTANDING FRIENDLY STAFF WHO ALWAYS WANT TO MAKE YOU FEEL WELCOMED ! This place is absolutely fantastic when it comes to the staff. Always welcomed and I feel like a valuable customer. I pop here occasionally and would use it more if I could. Special mention to Tracy. I’ve seen her take flack from customers who are just difficult and she remains her usual calm self. She always has a smile on her face and wants to do what’s right for the customer. In any pub/restaurant like this you’ll have issues when it’s mega busy but it’s clear to me all the staff here work hard and do what’s right where they can. Lovely place ! And very welcoming.

Avoid at all costs... the food here is terrible, soggy chicken wings. the katsu chicken curry was horrendous. they basically serve kids food to everyone, chicken part of the katsu, was chicken nuggets!! what grown up wants to eat that rubbish? instead of breast,which everywhere else serves it that way.. the katsu sauce was inedible, gellified lump stuck in the gravy boat.... my son ordered the korean bbq chicken burger which he said was disgusting, 2 bites of it and he was done, they put some awful mix of msg rubbish on the chips and called it salt and chilli.. I tried to raise the issues with staff, they were unhelpful and a bit rude.. I will never eat in this place again, it is vile their prices have gone up and the quality is worse than mcdonald's...

Food and drink service was fine (was told no pitchers then a friend who turned up was allowed a pitcher but assumed that was due to level of business.) main issue was bathroom cleanliness. I attend festivals a lot and these toilets were worse than the portaloos and festivals, with soaking toilet roll, used tampons on the floor, no loo roll, mould, and soaking floors. The staff sign in sheet to check cleanliness had not been signed for hours. I understand that there was an air show event so everyone was busy, but even checking in briefly once every 2 hours to check on the toilet roll level would have been enough!

Food and service was great.Very helpful and friendly staff.Would have been 5 star overall but was let down badly by some dirty cutlery at the cutlery station. Had to sort through to find clean Mentioned it to member of staff and she then began to sort out the dirty. Apart from this, enjoyed our visit and would visit again if in the area.

Have visited on many occasions. Food is always good and staff very friendly. Only thing that let's it down are the toilets. There is also a foul smell coming from them into the restaurant and the ladies toilets are always really dirty

Enjoyed a fantastic breakfast (only served saturday/Sunday) Was a family meet up and we have different tastes and appetites, so everything from a bacon roll to the mega breakfast and steak and eggs was ordered. The service was great, food great and food was served quickly. The produce was nice quality and the steak on the steak and eggs was surprisingly good,great value, and nothing was greasy.
