Glory Garden in Tewkesbury

Ordered last night for my Birthday meal, what a let down. Both the chicken mains had to be thrown because they were very very salty, I was up most of the night drinking water. Singapore rice was very good but the egg fried rice was dry & tasteless. This used to be very good but now it is let down by its kitchen who obviously do not taste their own food. I was ripped off.

The best chinese i have ever tried ! Crispy chilli beef is amazing! Beef curry to die for ! I will never order from anywhere else!

Quality of chicken in the meals is not great. It's also inconvenient not being able to pay by card i.e. cash only.

Order from here quite often and food is usually amazing. Ordered tonight and it turned up 30 minutes late and it was cold. Rice was congealed. Rang them back up and explained, the lady (I’m guessing the owner?) was far from interested just said oh well and TO PUT MEAL IN THE MICROWAVE TO HEAT IT UP! It should arrive hot!!

The driest chicken chowmein ive ever eaten! And what do they do to the chicken?? So disappinted and wheres there spring onion etc . So boring and basic

Gone downhill fast - ordered food on the weekend and for example they used to do a lovely Lemon Chicken which was a slab of chicken fillet in quality lemon sauce. Now they supply you with 6 chicken nuggets and a radioactive looking yellow thin slime in a pot. Such a shame. Won’t be returning.

Very poor quality!! I remembered why I stopped ordering from glory garden! The food is literally disgusting!

Got the take away home and opened it. Something did not smell right. But starting eating. Wasn't sure what the dark meat on top of the special fried rice was. It was extremely chewy, dark in colour and looked like beef. Telephoned to ask what meat it was and was told it's pork. I've eaten pork before and this was definitely not pork! This takeaway in right next to a vets. Mmmmmm I wonder?

Awful. Didnt receive what we ordered. Batter on our pork balls was raw in the middle. Duck was drier than nuns chuff. 1st & last time ordering from there

El sábado por la noche había pedido cenas para 2 x 2 personas para 7. 30 Estaba listo cuando llegamos y muy caliente. La comida era maravillosa, todo allí y se identificaba fácilmente. Los sabores eran geniales y todos deliciosos. Después de estar protegido durante todo este tiempo, fue una verdadera celebración. muchas gracias a todos ustedes en Glory Garden.

No he ido aquí por un tiempo, así que algunos amigos y yo pedimos una comida para llevar el viernes por la noche. Pedido por teléfono, mucha comida porque somos cerditos, llegó a 120, eso está bien, ya que realmente era mucho. Sin embargo, al recogerlo, todos empacados, así que tomamos lo que nos dieron. Cuando volví a casa, faltaban varios artículos, no solo los artículos menores, sino también los platos principales y algunos de ellos. De acuerdo, todavía teníamos bastante, pero la comida estaba grasienta y se podía saborear el aceite. Después de haber trabajado en la industria de la restauración, sé que esto se debe a que no han reemplazado el aceite lo suficiente. Lección aprendida, no volvamos aquí, PERO ESPERE, el suyo más. . . . . . No comí mucho el viernes, solo cereales y luego los chinos, ¡así que viene un mal estómago, el sábado WTF! como dije, he trabajado en la industria de la restauración, así que tengo cuidado con la limpieza así que puedo estar seguro de que eran chinos, mi compañero también estaba enfermo, Entonces, mala comida, poco pedido, caro y enfermo al día siguiente, No recomendaría este lugar, Además, ¿qué pasa con ellos sin tener una máquina de tarjetas? ! Como nota, podría haber recibido un lote malo, así que toma una decisión

Great if they accepted card payments. Always a pain having to go to a cash point first. Food is good though.

Fantastic Chinese. Delivery very quick, food piping hot.... the king prawn balls and meat rolls where so tasty 😋.... will deffo be using them again.. 👍.

im really fussy about Chinese takeaways as i really dont like Chinese takeaway food, so rarely eat it, but this place i will eat from happily. ive never had an issue with any of it, happy customer

The little pork dumplings were great. The chicken curry with mushroom fried rice, was terrible. The rice watery no flavour. The chicken curry has more onion than chicken in it. Quite tasteless and disappointing.

Very nice Chinese Takeaway. One of the best we've had since moving to Gloucestershire. Highly recommend the sweet and sour prawns (both prawn balls and Hong Kong style are delicious!); their egg fried rice is also very flavoursome - tastes like it's made from a stock rather than just a splash of soy sauce. Delivery quick too!

We've used this takeaway both to order over the phone and also through going into the shop to order. The food is always great, much fresher than some other places we've tried. The staff are friendly and if you opt for delivery it's really quick. Will definitely keep going back!

Take away was quite good but never used phoned service , the food was good but the customer service could be better, the food which we had was fine very tasty and did not wait long,it was easy to park outside. i can understand other comments but i would use again.

Used to be our favourite chinese take away in Tewkesbury. Taken over by new owners, now it's awful! Don't waste your time. Curry is like burning hot water, chow mein is very VERY dry.

Seems to be hit and miss when ordering food from here. Sometimes it okay and other times it's good. Will give it another go when ordering takeaway next.

First time trying this takeaway, Phoned up for a delivery and had the misfortune to speak to someone who had absolutely no idea of the area they covered for delivery. They rely on a satnav for their delivery directions and the man on the phone was unable to take our order due to their satnav not recognizing our postcode (we are a 10 minute drive away if that). He wouldn't accept instructions from us nor would he contact their driver to see if he knew the address. Such a shame as the menu looks very tasty!

Note this is a takeaway only. No eat in is available. Over the last year I have been struggling to find a good Chinese and had almost given up. The intention originally was to have an Indian takeaway but due to the fact that they tend to open slightly later we decided to go for a Chinese takeaway and looked for one we had not been to before. While they have no website the menu can be viewed via images on their Facebook page and has most of the usual offerings. Being our first visit we stuck with our favourites so that we could measure fairly against other local Chinese restaurants. We ordered in the shop rather than via telephone. Once complete a numbered ticket is given to you and you then wait for it to be called. The seating in the waiting area is very uncomfortable and the room was on the cold side, but thankfully the wait was short. It did seem popular as in the short time we were there they had a high number of other customers. The food itself was tasty and not overly oily as can sometimes be the case. What stood out for us was the freshness of the taste and the amount of chicken in the dishes. Both were very good. Although a little outside the town centre, the extra drive is worth it as parking is very easy outside.

Great fast delivery and always hot. Lovely food.
