Glendyne Hotel Restaurant in Dumfries & Galloway

Called i one evening before going to theatre just for a drink. Only 2 or 3 others in the bar who clearly had too much of something and language was choice to say the least and went unchallenged by the staff on duty. I will not return.

If your call is diverted to a man with a thick, foreign accent and he invites you another hotel, near the station, do not go under any circumstances.

Lovely garden centre plants garden furniture and more. Nice to go for coffee and snack. Good place to meet a few friends or take the kids. Nice seating area Not so good for roast dinner however, veg was hard and meat was not too hot.

It's always a pleasant surprise to find a pub with a good menu using local ingredients! We ate well, the service was friendly. The pub has a large garden. This must be one of the best pubs for miles in any direction! My wife left her sunglasses behind, but Tim, the landlord, was super-helpful, finding them and posting them on. We will definitely go there again.

The steak tasted boiled not fried and the onions were sparse and undercooked. This was not a good steak baguette. Nice service though in good surroundings.
