I stayed at this hotel with 2 other friends on the 21st September. The food was excellent. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We had a lovely seaview room which was fab as the sun was shinning all weekend.

Staying locally and wanted to eat at the hotel for a special birthday, went down and sat on the Terrace at the front. My wife went inside ordered drinks and male behind bar advised he would go and find some as they don't have menus in the bar. Forty Five minutes later my wife went back in as she still wanted to eat there for her birthday male behind bar apologised said he'd forgot as he'd been busy. Whilst my wife was inside saw what she described as small portions of fish and chips being served. Five minutes later menus arrived, limited offers which appeared expensive £17.95 for fish and chips, £18 for black pudding and mash, £28 for a lamb shank, no steak on offer. Birthday meal ruined so Chinese takeaway it is then.

What a lovely place. The bonuses are the friendly staff and very good food. We had halloumi and Haggis bon bons as starters and fish and chips and salmon risotto. All very nice. We had a bottle of sauvignon blanc and all was well with the world. The walk up the hill is worth it as the view is also fabulous.

We stopped here on a cold and very windy day. Cafe is a bit small, but the cakes are scrumptious and the hot chocolate was perfectly chocolatey, delicious and warming which was just what was needed. Coffee and tea also was great. The two ladies who run the cafe are lovely and bake some really delicious treats. They have a small shop too full of pretty stuff. Will definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Inveraray.

Booked for Ceilidh night. Fantastic, everyone mixing, having a laugh and fun, what life's about, certainly worked up a sweat with dancing and worked my delicious tea off, superbly cooked and beautifully presented! Lovely staff.

I recently stayed at the Ardencaple Hotel, and while the location is great, the overall experience left much to be desired. The biggest letdown was the service—it felt disorganized, and the staff, though polite, seemed either overworked or inattentive. Requests took far too long to be addressed, and there was a general lack of attentiveness that made the stay less enjoyable. The hotel itself is in desperate need of renovations. The rooms are outdated, with worn furniture, tired-looking carpets, and bathrooms that have clearly seen better days. Even the common areas feel neglected, with peeling paint and a general sense that the place hasn’t been properly maintained in years. What could be a charming and cozy hotel instead feels run-down and in need of serious investment. It’s a shame because the setting has a lot of potential, but until they make some much-needed upgrades and improve the service, I wouldn’t rush back.

A bit tired, but nice helpful staff. Food wasn't so good for us. Very cramped and limited parking.
